Magnolia Cabin is located at the headwaters of the trophy trout section on the beautiful Watauga River. Magnolia is a small 500 square feet private cabin equipped with modern appliances & granite counter tops. Relax on our back deck! A guest favorite…our back deck is the place to enjoy the great outdoors while watching the river go by. You might even see someone catching a fish! Featuring a sitting area and fire pit, this relaxed setting is the perfect place to unwind. This section of the Watauga River is a fisherman's paradise! You can walk off the large covered back porch down to a wadable river to fish, kayak, or watch wildlife. Located on a country road, you would think you are a long way from civilization, but travel four miles down the road and you can pick up anything you need. The cabin is fully equipped with linens and all household items. All you need to bring is personal items and food. We hope you will enjoy it as much we do! We look forward to meeting you!

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at Magnolia cabin. Did some fishing and enjoying porch sitting listening to and watching nature. The cabin itself is filled with rustic charm. It had everything one would need. Very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back! Tracie & Glenn Ryther

Had a great stay at the Magnolia Cabin. Located on the river and in a country setting, made it a wonderful stay. Cabin was very clean and was as described. The washer/dryer are not in the cabin but located in a common area of the other rentals. No big deal as it was a short walk from the cabin. Had to contact the property manager during our stay as the gas grill ran out of propane. Property manager responded promptly with a replacement, and I was back to cooking in no time. Cabin has good Wi-Fi and 2 TV's, one in living area and other in bedroom. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would rent again.

This Magnolia cabin is a perfect place for two people. It is very clean and the furniture is in great condition. The porch overlooking the river is our favorite place. We plan to stay there again!

The cabin is wonderful. Very cozy and quiet. Will visit again. The only minor thing I found possibly incorrect in the listing was there is not a washing machine on the property that I could locate. I didnt need it but it may need to be clarified in the listing. Thanks!

The river was too hiigh and unsettled for fly fishing but we had a relaxing week bird watching from the deck and visiting family in Johnson City. Many thanks to Phil for getting a repairman over to fix the minisplit. We'll be back in the fall!

Both HVAC systems in the Magnolia cabin did not work. We were there in late April and the cabin was freezing. A caretaker was called, and he could not get the systems to work. We had to rely on a space heater to get the temperature up to a half way comfortable level. Other than that, things were good.

We found this place a few years ago and we now stay here every time we're in the area. It's so serene and quiet, yet close enough to town that you can quickly get anything you need. We'll be back next year for our annual trip!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at your beautiful cabin. The property grounds are very clean and was very private. Everything was just like the listing states. The one lane bridge going to the cabin was like going back in time. The old truck by the entrance was awesome. We were in town for the race at BMS and the drive was about 25 minutes. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will be back.

Well appointed cabin on the river. Thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching the fly fishermen. The cabin had more amenities than any hotel. Very comfortable. Look forward to staying again in the future.

The cabin and property were great. This cabin is pretty new and in great shape. We brought some things that we didn't need based on the VRBO information. The owner Patti Whidden was awesome. VRBO neglected to provide the check-in information 7 days before as shown on the confirmation. I contacted Patti and immediately the VRBO confirmation arrived. Thank goodness for the great owners/hosts like Patty since VRBo seems to be less professional than it should be.

We are so blessed to have stayed at this property again! Have been coming here for years for a family reunion in NE Tennessee. This is our first time staying in the Magnolia Cabin and it was so very nice, clean and comfortable. The Hosts and property managers really take care of their guests! Would highly recommend this cabin for a couple, and they are pet friendly !!!

This place was perfect! We stayed in the Magnolia house which was super nice and was just recently built. It's a perfectly sized standalone cabin with a giant front porch overlooking the river. I highly recommend and will definitely choose this place again as it is a great distance from either Elizabethton and Johnson City.

Wonderful cabin overlooking the Wautaga River. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the porch and fishing in the river. The cabin had everything we needed for our getaway. When a night of torrential rains made for some seriously muddy, messy river water, we headed to nearby Roan Mountain and did some hiking. We would definitely recommend the Magnolia Cabin to our friends.

The two main requirements we have when renting are a good kitchen and a large shower. This place had both. It was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. We loved relaxing on the porch listening to the river and hope to return next year.

Nice cabin with king size bed. Very peaceful by the river. We liked sitting out on the front porch. The Wi-Fi is a bit spotty. The kitchen has the basics. You will want to bring with you cooking oil and Kleenex. Otherwise, everything is pretty well stocked.

We enjoyed it overall, but the wifi is terrible which meant the tv's barely worked. We tried to watch a movie and it stopped every few minutes to the point we gave up. Luckily, we had great weather and could be outside, but if you're going to do internet tv, the internet should work consistently. We also tried to grill one evening and the grill didn't work hardly at all. I had to finish cooking the burgers on the stovetop. If the wifi and grill worked, it would be 5 stars for sure

Only glitch was that the email with the code to get in had the wrong code. I called the number provided and I asked what is the trick to open the door. He said no trick what code are you using? I told him the code I was sent and he said well you are using the wrong code. No apology. He gave me another code and I was finally able to get in. Some directions on how to use the lock would have been helpful. Other than that a wonderful, clean great place to stay.

A short weekend to celebrate a 60th birthday. His favorite place to go to relax, fish, enjoy the scenery. Can’t say enough good things about Wautauga River Cabins! It’s becoming our home away from home! One thing that is confusing is the check in times and checkout times listed on VRBO email and listed in the cabin. We don’t know which one to go by and we certainly don’t want to put the managers in a bind by overstaying the time. We LOVE the cabin, the area, the fishing, and can’t wait to return again soon! Thank you for sharing your paradise with us!

Stayed here for the bristol dirt race, only about a 25 minute ride to the track. Pictures dont do it justice, its really nice and we wish we could of stayed longer.
