Mountain views on the Doe River. One couldn't ask for more. We even got to meet the property owners who were so gracious. We had a great week!

The house was beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail and spotless clean. The furnishings were comfortable and the atmosphere relaxing. The deck was a favorite spot to relax and enjoy meals while listening to the cadence of the Doe River. A perfect place for a couple to retreat for a few days and refresh. Highly recommend

We had a great time in the Loft of Elizabethton. Our hosts have done an excellent job of outfitting their property with every accoutrement to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable — Comfy bed, plentiful bath towels, full kitchen with all the gadgets and appliances for serious cooking, WIFI, televisions, it’s clean (clean clean clean) … and that’s just the inside. The outside is a dream with a river rolling by, not a creek, and outdoor seating for enjoying the view, watching the family fish, or just listening to the gentle rush of the water. This is one of our favorite short term rentals ever! Attentive hosts and an enviable location made for a wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We couldn’t have been happier. The place was immaculate. So many nice touches…plenty of towels, coffee and a gift bag. View was amazing and so quiet. We will definitely return.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Even though it’s in a neighborhood it was very quiet and private. Beds was perfect and kitchen had all the perks. Porches were my favorite and we spent most of our time there. Highly recommend and we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the rental. From arrival at the driveway to the exit at the end of our stay. We were able to enjoy the sun on the huge deck as well as shade under the covered section. The furniture was very comfortable and made it easy to relax and sleep. The big bathroom was an added bonus. The outdoor setting was quaint and well set up. We even got to fish in the river. Hope to come back soon.

We had a great time during our short stay. Sitting by the fire pit at night with the river running by you won't feel like you're in a neighborhood minutes from town at all. Very quiet and peaceful area. Check in/out was a breeze and the hosts were excellent. You would have a hard time finding a better stay for such a low nightly rate in the area. We would gladly stay here again!

Wonderful two night mother-daughter getaway! Communication was great all the way through; check-in and check-out were easy (they even texted the day before our arrival to let us know the space would be ready early, which was a wonderful surprise). The loft has everything you might need and is fully up to date. The very best feature though is the river. From the back deck you really don't see neighboring houses at all- just the river and forest. Absolutely beautiful and relaxing! We even saw a river otter playing and swimming along the bank one morning! Hoping to return!

The apartment (Loft) was beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture. Large bathroom with washer and dryer was a plus. Nice view of the creek from the back porch and windows. Neighborhood was very quiet. We enjoyed our short stay and recommend this property as a nice retreat for a couple.

We were so surprised when we opened the door for the first time.

As like last year we were here to celebrate our anniversary; this year was our 59th. Everything went well except for a minor issue with the gas grill on the deck and the fact that the first two days were cold and cloudy. The facility was Immaculate as was last year and we will be staying next year this time in the adjacent house property. Diane and Richard are great hosts and make every effort to accommodate your needs.

The sound of the Doe River and the birds was a welcome respite. It feels like you are miles away from everything. But all the conveniences are close by. The Loft is comfortable and well furnished. We really enjoyed our time there.

This is the place to stay when you want down time, porch time, river time, fishing time, quiet time and most of all a nice place to stay.
You do not need to bring anything. They have it all.

Excellent property. Very clean and modern. We enjoyed a week of relaxation. We were expecting cooler temps but we apparently picked the hottest week of the year. We'll come back and use firepit. We did catch some trout and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Great hosts!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Loft. The home was so well thought out in details, provisions, and decor. Everywhere you looked you discovered something new to look at. The clock near the sliding glass door fascinated us..lol!! It has a lot of neighbors which kind of concerned us, but the neighborhood was quiet and sitting out near the river, you felt like you were the only ones back there. We cast a line a few times although we didnt catch anything. The only thing that we did not like was how hard the bed was. Neither of us slept well. Otherwise, we really enjoyed staying here!!

Property was above our expectations. Very well appointed. Enjoyed leaving the sliding door to deck open to hear the water. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future return trips.

The Loft is a wonder place to escape the busyness of everyday life and slow down to enjoy listening to nature. The accommodations are beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and extremely clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the WiFi service was strong. A great place for a personal getaway or a working retreat.

Celebrating our anniversary, my husband and I wanted to nestle in the mountains. The Loft was perfect! While listening to the Doe River, you can see beautiful mountain peaks. So many hiking trails are within a short drive. Everything you could ever need is at your fingertips in this rental-- for indoor, deck or campfire cooking. Everything is impeccably clean and ready for you to use. I would definitely recommend the Loft and return if I find myself back in the Elizabethton area.
