Except for what we didn't like, everything else was perfect
Extremely loud at night...very hard to sleep with all the hotel and outside noise even for a Monday night

Great coffee and yogurt with muffins
well we were on a busy street and lots of loud cars on Saturday Sunday was much quieter

Good location on the edge of the historic section of town meaning the sidewalks were less crowded and less people hawking tours etc. The staff were pleasant, helpful, well traines and professional. For those who want to prepare meals the room came with a fully equipped kitchen including: stove, refrigerator freezer, dishes, silverware, pots, pans, glasses, utensils, coffee maker, coffee grinder.
The bathroom and bedroom linens were good quality and the bathroom was spacious with deep drawers for use by guests and included a very quiet washer, dryer and detergent pods. The living room kitchen space provided plenty of room to relax as well as outlets to charge electronics.
Valet parking was $47 a day at a public lot across from the hotel. It would have been nice if we were told that self-parking was available at a substantial savings ($18.00/day).
The bed frame extended beyond the mattress so we kept stubbing our toes. Our room faced King Street which is busy most of the day and well into the evening hours. Happily the bedroom location muffled much of the noise.
The refrigerator was stocked with a wide range of beverages and there many assorted snacks on the counter. There should have been a placard to indicate chargeable items and as well those that were gratis.
Given the luxury aspect of the hotel a more generous box of tissues should be provided. This seems like a minor item but given the room rate we were surprised.

Great location within walking distance of just about everything on the peninsula. Lots of amenities in the room and a cheerful staff.

Amazing property, more like luxury studio apartments, immaculately decorated and appointed.

All of the employee's seemed to be at my side for whatever I needed. They opened doors for me, gave me restaurant ideas, where to shop, directions. There was never a time when I felt "alone".
Seriously, I wish the lounge (bar) was open later.

Staff were excellent especially the girls on reception were so kind and efficient.
Probably only the bed.

I was upgraded to a suite upon my arrival. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The interior finishes are exceptional. They did not cheep out on design in the least bit. The property and the guests rooms are extremely well cared for and the entire hotel felt brand new. The lobby was quant and had a lovely outdoor seating area appointed with a fireplace and lounge furniture. Let there be no mistake, while still a boutique hotel, this is a very high end property. While I didn't use, I loved the butler's kitchen in the rooms. They were fully equipped. My in room water in the fridge was always full. The General Manager had a very polite hand written note for me with her business card and direct cell number.
For the price I would have expected a turn down service. The room was always really clean, so maybe there was one, but I didn't notice. I'm guessing there was not. Additionally, I would prefer that the window treatments were able to black out the room. Maybe I was missing something, but it is nice in the AM to not have the sunlight coming in when you want to sleep in on your vacation.

Super clean hotel and the rooms were too cozy!!
9.0
Overall luxurious feel, with high ceilings and perfect decor. Each room has a kitchen, very well appointed, including coffee bean grinder and drip coffee maker, stove, nice utensils. A very full bar and refridge with beverages (fee for these if used). Live plants and a few books in the room. Breakfast bar is minimal, with coffee, yogurt, a few pastries and fruit. (A little scant, we supplemented with some of our own fruit and pastry.)

Location and atmosphere were wonderful. Staff were attentive. Bed comfy. Rooms are big and have very elegant kitchenette and bathroom.
Restaurant and bar were both closed long term so that was a bit disappointing bc no room service or on site food or drink. But they had a great honor bar and snacks in the room.

It felt like home. I truly could have lived there and been perfectly content.
There was absolutely nothing that we didn’t like.

Gorgeous in every respect. Super central yet quiet, luxurious interiors and enormous room in historic setting. Step out onto the street and you’re ready to explore historic Charleston, its restaurants and shopping. Beautiful outdoor courtyard with open fireplace perfect in the evening after a busy day exploring.

Our stay at The Pinch was unexpected and delightful surprise. We had booked at a nearby chain hotel for the weekend and it was filthy. We quickly checked with Booking.com for an alternative and found this gem. The location was great and the room was clean and luxurious. The staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator with a Happy Birthday card and gave helpful information about attractions and nearby beaches. The courtyard provided a relaxing way to start the day with breakfast & coffee or an evening nightcap by the fire. I highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Charleston.

Its a bit on the expensive side but the rooms are beautiful and super clean. The staff doesn’t seem to mind babies so it’s a fantastic place to stay if you have a little one attached to you. It’s not your typical hotel with a (lobby, gym, dining area, etc.) However, the location, cleanliness, and friendly staff make it a must stay when we come back.
7.0
Excellent and friendly staff, very good size room with great in room facilities and a tastefully decorated hotel in a good location but the location itself has issues.
King street, where the hotel is located, is very noisy after dark. Some of the noise is from revellers leaving the local bars but the worst is from local drivers who seem to use King street as a drag racing track until the early hours. The locals seem to be competing to have the noisiest exhaust systems which guarantee to wake you up. The hotel must be aware of this because they provided a white noise system in our room, without request, but when this was turned on it was like trying to sleep in an aircraft. We didn’t have a quality nights sleep for the 4 nights we were there.
No double glazing to help suppress the noise but this could be due to local planning?

Beautiful hotel, in a perfect location!
It’s a new hotel so they still have some kind to work out. The shower leaked water so badly.

The staff was amazing!! The decor throughout was beautiful. It took you back in time and had modern features tied in. The whole place had a luxurious look but still felt like you were cozied up right at home. It didn't feel like a standard hotel, you can tell a lot of care and thought went into every detail. There's also a washer and dryer in the room which was a great feature. Almost all of the lighting in our room was dimmable and perfectly placed. They even had a WHITE NOISE MACHINE!! They literally thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Andrea who works in valet, provided a curated list of local spots for us that aren't typical tourist spots but still hot spots for locals. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this place for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect and right downtown with many places within walking distance. The room we were in essentially felt sound proof, it was so peaceful.
They offer a complimentary welcome cocktail upon check in and provide fresh pastries and coffee in the mornings. The patio is lush with tropical plants and graced with a roaring fireplace, perfect for and evening outdoors. When it's raining, the hotel has black umbrellas at the ready for guests coming and going. They also have complimentary bikes for your adventures around town. (Bikes are first come first serve). From the gold & brass fixtures to the plush cotton robes and handwritten note from the Manager awaiting our arrival, this place is a gorgeous modern boutique that takes you back in time while making sure you're comfy and equipped with what you need for your stay.
There are other places downtown that claim to offer this type of experience but miss the mark in many ways. Some have very high price tags but have drab and colonial/historical decor and provide bare minimum. The Pinch Charleston is unmatched and has set the bar very high for other hotels in the area.
Everything was great, the sheets were a little rough and held in a lot of body heat but that was a minor thing, overall our stay was great
