The pool now has new lights and furniture, while the outdoor shower has been moved closer to the pool area. Additionally, the front porch has been furnished with new furniture, and the first floor of the home has been freshly painted. Crystal Blue Persuasion is a four-bedroom, three-bath second row beach house located 0.5 miles south of Surfside Pier and across the street from public beach access. This property features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with a microwave and dishwasher, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans throughout. Five TVs (75-inch Samsung Smart TV in living room, 24-inch SAMSUNG Smart TV in downstairs bedroom, 43-inch TCL Roku TV in upstairs master bedroom, 32-inch HANNSPREE TV in bunkbed room, 26-inch VIZIO TV in upstairs room with two queen-sized beds) and Wi-Fi are also included. Sleeping accommodations include two king and two queen-sized beds, plus two twin-over-double bunk beds. Outdoor amenities include a private 24-by-14-foot heated swimming pool, hot tub, covered porch, sundeck, enclosed outdoor shower, and ample parking (some covered). No smoking. No pets. We had a wonderful week at this house. The location was perfect. The pool was great. The only issue we had was with the dishwasher. I would highly recommend the owners purchase a new one. It was filled with mold. And it looked like it had been there for quite some time. The realty company did send someone to clean it, which still left mold in it. Then they sent someone to run bleach and vinegar through it, but being as bad as it was we didn’t feel safe washing our dishes in it. An upgrade there is definitely warranted.The only other suggestion would be to buy a more modern fridge. We went through tons of bottled water. We are used to a fridge that’s a little bigger and that has a water system in it. Other than that we had a wonderful time! The beds were comfortable and the house was clean.

Everything was good except we were significantly inconvenienced three times by technicians that said they needed to address the rental's network / WiFi system. We were not having any issues with connectivity. The 1st encounter caused me to miss beach time with my family as I had to stay in the unit while the technician tried to fix a problem we were not aware of... after 3 hours, he left without fixing the supposed problem. The 2nd encounter was a Spectrum technician that spent 3 hours from late afternoon to early evening swapping equipment... caused my family to miss a planned dinner out! After the equipment swap, the network / WiFi did not work the next day and a 3rd technician had to come out and fix the issue. More missed beach time for me! Everything was working and don't understand why these technical visits needed to occur on my vacation time... I was just renting the unit. Very dissatisfied about this and feel a rental credit is warranted! I would be happy to hear a reply regarding this unfortunate situation!

This is our second stay at this property. Great place, great location….pool, hot tub, beach, property layout is very nice, and restaurants in walking distance. We played some great golf courses all within a 30 drive. My only disappointment was a shortage of toilet paper, soap and some kitchen essentials.

Crystal Blue Persuasion was perfect for our 7 person family. I vacationed with my wife, three kids, and my parents, and this home was perfect for us. It's super close to the beach, which was pretty sparsely populated, so we felt like we had a private strip of ocean for us and our neighbors. When the day got too hot, we would jump inside and make a meal. The house was comfortable and well furnished. We brought some games to play, and had a game table and a separate dining table. We enjoyed the pool almost daily, along with the hot tub. And there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. Strongly recommend it - we will return.

This is the first time in 10 years that we have booked through a realty company for the vacation. Having stayed in the direct vicinity, the location is perfect. However, there are some things within the house that need reviewed:1. The white table on the front porch needs to be thrown away. Due to the condition of the table/chairs, it couldn't be used. It may be able to be power washed.2. There needs to be towel racks in all of the bathrooms or even towel hooks on the bathroom door.3. Many of the appliances didn't work, such as the mixer. The toaster had to be consistently reattached on the bottom, so we got to the point we didn't use it. A personal preference would be to replace the coffee pot with a Keurig. 3. There were not enough steak knives. We had to share knives when we had steak....there were like 4 knives.4. It was odd that there were not regular spoons. There were iced tea spoons or large tablespoons.5. The upkeep around the pool and hot tub needs to be addressed. There were leaves, weeds, and other debris from trees all around the pool and hot tub. There were leaves there that seemed from winter. 5. Personal preference again, but an umbrella around the pool would have been nice.6. It also did not seem like the pool filters were working. We had to clean the bugs and other debris from the pool daily. Please know that we had a great week, and the house was a relatively great rental. Listing the items above will allow other renters to have a great time at this beach rental.

Much of the house is recently remodeled it looks like. The rooms were bigger in person than the pictures made them appear, this was most evident in the living/dining room which was a huge relief to not be crowded for space.
Check in was super simple. The management company was amazing to work with.
The location was great. Our last rental was on the beach so I worried how I’d take being in a second row house but getting to the beach was so quick and easy, just a quick walk across the street, with a crosswalk. There were also many restaurants within a 10 minute walk safely along sidewalks the whole way.
The hot tub was warm and ready when we arrived which was great. The hot tub is a nice size, seating 7 so we enjoyed it a lot. I will note, that it does say “heated pool” but whatever type of heat they use I don’t know and I’m only familiar with the propane style we use. But for wherever reason we were told on inquiry that the pool doesn’t heat when it’s below 55 degrees or at night. So not only was it not warm when we arrived but since our first couple days the high barely got to 55 the pool didn’t heat up until our last day (and checkout is 10am so didn’t get to use it). I think “pool with a heater” is a better description than “heated pool” since it was indeed not heated (they came out and turned the heat on the day after we checked in). The hot tub was plenty for us so this would not keep me from choosing this house again.
I love that all linens were included, the kitchen was well stocked with small appliances and dishes, including wine glasses. I was also pleasantly surprised to find not only a portacrib but a high chair and bed rail as well. We were traveling with kids and to save space I had just planned to use my stroller as a high chair so was happy I didn’t need to. There was not a baby gate but they didn’t list one either so I didn’t expect one, I just wanted to point that out since there were other non listed baby items so if you’re traveling with an infant you may want one for the bottom of the stairs, ours is old enough to navigate stairs. There was also an abundance of sand and pool toys.

We've stayed in this home for 15 years. Great location. Great furnishings. The new owner is in the process of upgrading the property. There are two items we'd recommend be fixed. First, is that the TV in the family room isn't hooked to cable. The other TVs in the house are hooked up so it seems like an easy inexpensive fix. Second, the hot tub has the temperature locked at a max of 99 degrees. That temp limit should be raised to 104 degrees.

We have rented this property for 12 years. The house is in a fantastic location and size of pool is great. Sadly this year, basic upkeep (cleaning of house and pool, landscaping/trimming of trees, ants in the kitchen) is lacking. For a house this large, more storage is needed for guests' belongings. Launder comforters and check for stains. Not all provided linens in good shape. Hot tub cover is broken. No recycling service as in previous years. Old rusted golf cart and discarded armoire in parking area detracts from the appearance. Investment in a good housecleaning service, pest control service, outside maintenance, and attention to details will greatly improve the general condition and appearance of the property. Our family loves this house and will definitely consider returning in the future.

Family Celebration at the Beach
Comfortable home for family who need quiet bedrooms and fun areas to congregate like the living area and pool/patio. A short walk to the beach in a nice neighborhood with access to some restaurants and shops. Everyone around us was so friendly and considerate. We loved our stay. It was our first visit to Surfside Beach. The heated pool in November was the highlight. We will definitely return!

Clearly a business property
The house was perfect for what we wanted, close to the beach with a small pool to relax in. The house wasn't as clean as some people in our group felt it should be but it wasn't anything egregious. We were surprised to I find no linens or towels because we canceled a different beach house that didn't provide those basic amenities. Overall we enjoyed our stay and that is why I gave it 5 stars but I did want to mention some of the things that other guests might want to know.

Best Location in Surfside!
We wanted this house due to the fact that it appeared close to the beach, close to some restaurants and bars, and had a pool. Our vacation included six adults, and we did opt to rent the golf cart. Alan, the property manager, was very easy to work with and quick to respond to communication. The house was perfect for what we were looking for and we enjoyed ample beach time, pool time, and golf cart rides to the nearby pier. We also enjoyed walking from the beach to a nearby restaurant to grab an app or a drink outside before returning home. Plenty of space for our crew!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property, plenty of space for everyone, very clean, and the communication was seamless. It was nice to be close to the pier area with food/drink just a few steps away. Golf cart was nice for getting around. The pool was great for our 5 and 8 yr old girls. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay in spite of some issues
We enjoyed our stay, having the pool was great, and the area is nice. The house was pleasant, but they had to replace some of the beds during our stay. They were in rough shape and one of them broke. They also had to fix the bathroom fans. All of this was a bit disappointing.
We were also disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working and we weren’t told of this until we arrived. They offered us $100 off on the golf cart rental as compensation but we decided not to rent it.
The family had a good time though.
