The hotel is well located in Burnham Market just a short walk from the busy main street and has good allocated parking. Access is via a key safe with no staff on site but it works well. The building and rooms are of a very high standard, beautifully designed and appointed. The shower rooms have luxury toiletries which adds to the premium feel. It’s a room only hotel ie no meals but these are available locally and are well detailed in the hotel communication.
The rooms are quite pricey but do reflect the quality and location - you get what you pay for !

Nice location
We booked this for the hot tub facility as it was a birthday treat. When we were at property, we were told the hot tub was closed for maintenance. If we had known this before, we would not have booked this accommodation. Advertisement on the site needs to be updated to tell you this information.

The decor and facilities
Master room didn’t have a lot of room either side of the bed. Also positioning of the TV was odd.
4.5
Boutique stylish finish to rooms, it felt new and clean. The 'Carriage room' offered a different from the norm experience.

The building is very unique and would love to get to see all of the other rooms, clean and tidy accommodation with good options for different lighting. Nice variety of complimentary drinks, snacks and soaps, neatly made up and comfortable beds and lots of easily accessible plug sockets. Decorative walls and stylish furniture give a homely feel.
Front door and stairs are quite noisy for downstairs guests, but i guess you know that because there is a "don't slam the door" sign lol, TV's could be bigger, on an adjustable bracket, more modern/up to date, and more central for equal viewing and more accessible ports to plug in computer consoles, USB sticks and HDMI etc. Honesty bar drinks and snacks are quite expensive considering there is a garage right next door and a local store which are a bit cheaper. A laundry area with washing machines, dryers and irons/ironing boards would be a nice touch for longer staying guests. And maybe a DVD or Bluray player in rooms with some movies to watch in case guests don't have a Netflix account, or books to read and board games to play in main area so guests can interact in the evening. Also a few mini microwave ovens so guests can make a quick meal at location and not forced to eat out. Windows are quite heavy and can be awkward to reach and figure out, I undid the catches and the window slid down making a big bang and was difficult to close it again, but perhaps opening the windows is not necessary as there is air conditioning. Perhaps a roof over the hot tub so it can be used during rainy days and lights so it can be used at night.

Lovely location, tucked behind the village. Clean and spacious room. Lovely well-stocked honesty bar. Generous supply of teas and coffees in the room.
The gravel drive is incredibly noisy if your neighbours do a 10-point turn at 5:45 am. The mattress is VERY firm - not a complaint, just not a personal preference. Also a door between the main bedroom and the kids' twin room would have been nice.

Good location, short walk in to Burnham Market. Very comfortable and clean room.

Everything you needed for a self check in hotel. Beautifully decorated, well stocked honesty bar, comfortable room.

Really nice room (although not as big as it looked on the photo), comfy bed and good shower. All very clean. We stayed in Piccadilly and we found it to be quiet - we didn't hear or see much of other guests. There was some outside noise but that's to be expected. There is a nice calm, relaxing atmosphere to the place and the communal seating areas inside and out are a nice touch - as was the honesty bar.
It's a great place to stay if you want to be in Burnham Market. However, we found that Burnham Market was very limited on places to eat or drink - some of which are very expensive. We arrived on a Tuesday and pretty much everywhere was closed that evening. We struggled to get breakfast and there a limited places for dinner or even for a drink. So you do need to be prepared to get in your car.

Great use of an old station house. Beautifully done out inside. Liked all the railway features including the room names. Lovely outside area and great honesty bar.

Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful place with everything you need

great location for the Burnham Market experience. Good size room and very comfortable.
we booked it as we wanted to enjoy the hot tub with some champagne as it was our anniversary. No where did it tell us that this is an extra cost which needed to be booked. ok we got past that but when we went to book we’re told it’s out of order and awaiting an engineer. No explanation by Barefoot Retreats before our arrival (and they sent other emails)/ no notice in our room and no signage at they hot tub which was covered but warm enough to use.
4.5
Clean, relaxed. Private hot tub available to book - loved that
The rooms are a bit crammed in so if anyone is in the lobby area it's very loud.
4.5
it was clean and comfortable.
sound proofing not great

No breakfast included but that’s ok it is a lovely place but I didn’t sleep with lots of noise going on as some party people there who seemed to think it was ok also arguing going on ?
Soundproofing some of the rooms

noise from air con- like a dripping sound

Lovely room - well stocked with teas coffee etc.
room was very clean and tidy and the lay out was great. Air conditioning/ heating system was Brilliant as the room was a touch warm when we arrived so the ability to cool it down without using a fan was a bonus. TV having smart features was a great touch.
Entry to the room was effortless following the instructions provided and parking outside your designated spot made it very convenient.
Decor was so lovely throughout the whole building. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
Mirror in bathroom didn’t seem to light up which wasn’t an issue but maybe needs sorting.

The decor was lovely and room was very clean. Easy to access with key code. We also booked a slot to use the hot tub, which was lovely, a nice touch for our relaxing evening for my partners birthday. Perfect location, a short walk to no twenty nine for our evening meal. Absolutely would stay here again ❤️
No negatives at all, the only thing I would say was that the hot tub temp was soo hot i couldn't get in it, untill about 10 mins before our hour was up. But still enjoyed and paddled my feet

We stayed in the Paddington. Beautiful room, well stocked with provisions. Beds were super comfy.
4.5
Interior styling, clean lines and light / sunny aspect.
Honesty bar is a super extra and a lovely idea.
Hun tub and decking was lovely too.
The room was cold when we arrived. V quickly someone arrived to sort the issue.
4.5
lovely big comfortable main bed, good fast wifi connection.
Room was on the chilly side in the evening, to the point I wore my pjs and the robe from the room to stay warm.
Also it’s a shame the (small) tv in the room isn’t on an adjustable tv stand as couldn’t really watch it well from the bed.
4.5
beautiful clean bedrooms, friendly staff, lounge area and self service bar

Noise could travel really easily between floors and we were told off by another family for our small boys making noise. Although they made a bit of noise, it was not unusual for a 2 and 6 year old to do this being away on holiday and sharing a room. Also, somehow someone managed to double-lock the door to the communal entrance so guests could not re-enter the property at night to go to their rooms at night. We literally had stones thrown at our window to wake us up to let them in as no one was in on the ground floor. The owners should not have provided additional keys for this to happen.

Everything! We had a wonderfully warm greeting. The room was beautifully decorated and had super comfortable bed. On-site was a real boon. We will be returning!
Nothing.
