We had a lovely time here. The place was very: modern, bright, clean, comfortable and well supplied with everything. Its location in Attymass afforded us solis and privacy with easy access at any time to Ballina and beyond. The staff were all extremely helpful to us they pampered my special needs girl and I and went out of their way to satisfy our requirements and to supply us with fresh fruit home made scones and milk. Access to their communal kitchen was very useful to us aswell.
The weather was wet and drab on two of the days we were there but we were able to use the common room on those days and it's big dining table and relax at the big smart TV.

This was room only accommodation. It was clean and quiet and the staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and there is a big dining room/ sitting room with an outdoor seating area which was great as the weather was good.
The kitchen is tiny. We were OK as there were no other guests when we were there however if all 7 rooms were occupied this might have been a challenge. My biggest gripe is that the cooker was not available for use, it had out-of-use signs on it. I don't think it was out of order, just we were not allowed to use it. This property is described as a hostel, hostels have cooking facilities, this doesn't. There is a microwave but no cooking equipment. This would be an ideal place to stay for a few days exploring the loop walks that start from here or for some beach days in Enniscrone which is 25 mins away however you would have to eat out all the time. As a walker I would generally bring some prepared food with me and reheat it and do some rice/pasta to go with it. I wouldn't be able to do that here. As a Mum, not to be able to throw on a pot of pasta to stave off the hunger pangs after the beach etc would put me off.
Also there is a washing machine in the building which we were not allowed to use either, why not?
This property needs to decide what it is aiming for, there is a cafe next door which serves an excellent breakfast if you order it and pay extra, either include this breakfast and go for the B&B market with added benefit of being able to keep a carton of milk in the fridge in the little kitchen or allow people to use the kitchen etc fully and go for self-caterers. At the moment it is not giving value for money, I have stayed in hotels in the area, single occupancy for less, breakfast and use of leisure centre included.

A new and clean facility with a communal kitchen and dining/living area with TV.
Location is remote, so necessary to drive to anything you need to do. The facility is in the Father Peyton complex of buildings and a little difficult to find, but otherwise a very nice accommodation. The only issue that affected our stay negatively was a drunken guest who burnt toast at 3:30am and set off the fire alarm, waking everyone, and when we called the emergency contact number for help, no one answered. The first part was not their fault, but they need a reliable emergency number or a staff person on site.
