I understand that this hotel will close down for a much-needed teardown and makeover. I hope that the new Imperial Hotel will have more Japanese design details. The old one could just as well have been on Manhattan, and that’s a shame because Japanese design has so much to offer the world

One of the best hotel experience I've had. Accommodating and friendly. Nothing not-so-good to say except for the buffet breakfast. I feel it was too expensive for the limited choices available that time. The staff did not even bother to ask if we'd like coffee for starters. That being said, however, the quality of the food (fresh vegetables, etc) were very good. But still, a bit too pricey.

Just a terrific place. Classic and refined. Even though Tokyo was really busy the hotel did not seem too touristy. Service was top notch. We never waited at the counter. They gsve us extra pillows and water. At least five employees greeted us every morning when we departed. Will definitely stay again.

Amazing room service. They did my room 3 times in a single day. Every staff member greets you as you pass them with a very large bow. The room was very spacious. The bathroom is probably the best part. Very large, with a hot autofilling tub.

Amazing hotel staff. Polite, courteous, and always ready to provide assistance. Their service is excellent. The hotel is old but the facility is really well-maintained and comfortable. The hotel is also situated in a very convenient location within walking distance of Tokyo station and Ginza district. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Tokyo.
