Great except for the billing.

100% disappointing and not as advertised. Public rooms are showy but our room had decrepit bureau with grungy unwiped drawers, Home Depot like closet rod in bedroom not large enough for two people’s clothes, step up to toilet and shower with no rail or dye marker, tiny plastic wastebasket in bath only but not in bedroom, pills spilled on day 1 never vacuumed up, breakfast 2 hours flat- no leeway for international or West Coast time change and no 24 hour desk presence. At $2600. It is a complete fraud and I am asking for review and compensation.

We loved our 3-night stay at the Blind Tiger. The property is perfectly located within easy walking distance to some of Portland's best restaurants, shops, and activities. As we also had a car with us, the on-site parking was a great bonus. We looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful daily breakfast buffet -- everything was delicious and artfully curated, the perfect way to start our mornings. We also took advantage of the stocked bar essentials while enjoying a gin and tonic made with the gin we picked up at Hardshore Distillery. Our room, the "Daymark", was very comfortable-- I believe all the guest rooms are located on the 2nd and third floors, so something to consider regarding accessibility. We'll happily recommend The Blind Tiger to anyone we know heading to Portland.

Beautiful Victorian home with a great re-decoration. Very few amenities beyond breakfast. About a 15 minute walk to the Old Port.

The property is an old mansion beautifully decorated with an eclectic style. It was cozy, warm and inviting. Nicolette was incredibly attentive and always present. A fire was always going in the main living room. Our room was large and comfortable with a fireplace that we chose not to use. It's a great property and a 1/2 mile walk to downtown Portland. If you want something unique this is a must..

New favorite style of hotel to stay in! The hospitality and care for details were unprecedented. The snack bar and breakfast spread alone were m worth the price of the room, and the decor and styling and bedding in the Diavolo room were absolutely lovely. There are a few minor upkeep/handyman jobs needing attention around the property, but there’s grace with it being a very old mansion. Would 100% stay here again and any other Lark Hotel properties.

This is a bed&breakfast with a stylish interior design. That is it, do not have high expectations for service and amenities.

Loved our room and the service. Great location. Will stay again when we return to Portland.

We had a lovely stay at the Blind Tiger, conveniently located in beautiful downtown Portland. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished.

We loved the Blind Tiger. Attention to details everywhere. My husband and I can’t say enough about this unique boutique hotel.

Room was spacious and comfy, also multiple comfy common areas for time for "out of room" if desired, billiard room, nice bfast layout of yogurt, berries & nuts, various breads with toppings etc which varied a bit depending on the day, and teas/coffee/juice. Pantry with snacks and cocktail mixers. Comfortable bedding & linens. Quick walk to quite old local tavern for very good casual menu and maybe a 1/2 mile walk to waterfront shopping/dining zone with many options. Walkable to art museum and at least one house museum. Small property, hardly any interaction with other guests. Would stay again at this or other Lark properties.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blind Tiger very much. It is a beautiful home and our room was spacious and comfy. The home is old and charming and decorated in a very unique way - mixing old with new. It still needs some improvements but, I’m sure, “upkeep”is always in progress. Our daily breakfast and available snacks were perfect. They even had olives for those BYO martini drinkers! Nicholette was amazing and took care of all our needs and provided great suggestions for day trips and restaurants. If you visit Portland you must have dinner at the Danforth - just blocks from the Blind Tiger. We will be back.

We loved our stay. I travel for work and hate staying in hotels while on vacation. It just feels like work. I would definitely stay at Blind Tiger again!

Nicollette was very helpful before our stay and was always there to answer any questions. The room was lovely and it felt as if we had the whole house to ourselves and enjoyed walking around and enjoying the historical ambience. Would definitely stay at this property again and will recommend it to all my friends!

Everything in this spacious B&B is adorable, from the delicate breakfast tableau, to the well-appointed common areas, and the neatly-arrayed china in the cute tea and coffee nook. I also liked the art which was abundantly displayed.

What a jewel in the West End! Beautifully renovated and decorated, this inn is a feast for the eyes and a true comfort for the travel weary. The location may seem off the beaten track of downtown, the waterfront or Munjoy Hill, but we were surprise to find a lively, vibrant community just steps from the inn-- and a 15-20 minute casual walk to these other Portland neighborhoods. We're already planning a return to Blind Tiger

Lovely relaxing stay in Portland at the Blind Tiger guesthouse. Common areas are beautiful and inviting and our Baxter room was perfect for a wonderful retreat.

Pros— common areas very cute. Could be great in non covid times. Location was convenient to walk most places. If you have concerns about COVID, you’re unlikely to interact with people at the hotel. My 3 summer nights at Blind Tiger ranged from underwhelming to disappointing. The hotel seemed more like an Air BnB most of the time. Self check in with code. Rooms are only cleaned if you text and request. If you take something from their pantry, text them so they charge you. Basically if you need anything, text them. Just made me feel like I was in someone else’s houses and not a higher end hotel that we paid a premium for. Breakfast was a let down— some room temperature yogurt w/ granola, boiled eggs. The room itself looked better in photos. Bathroom was not ideally cleaned. Air conditioner secured to cracked window with towels and tape. So loud we could not run it at night and then were unfortunately warm to sleep. Bed was comfortable. I was really looking forward to this place, but would not say it was worth it for the price that we paid. Service and quality could use improvement.

All of the decor and furnishings were carefully thought out and unique. Blind Tiger is a beautiful guest house. The amenities were great -- superb breakfast, coffee and tea all day and great variety. I felt comfortable using and relaxing in the common areas of the house and not confined to my guest room. It was also in walking distance of many great Portland dining options. We would return!

What a treat to stay at the Blond Tiger! The renovation on this historic home is incredible and the staff and amenities are wonderful. I will be looking at other Lark Hotel properties to stay at!

We had a great time staying at Blind Tiger. The space is beautiful, room comfortable and staff kind & attentive. The modified breakfast due to COVID was still good. Like the communal feeling of the house. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The property was conveniently located close to most attractions, ie.. stores and shops, restaurants, etc... I was a little surprised that for the price of the room, certain things could of been better. The room had an AC unit but they used painters tape a sealant. The shower liner was a little used and the hand soap in the bathroom was half full. The property was very quite and the staff appeared to take a hands off approach. I communicated mostly by text with the staff for anything needed. Overall the room was clean and suitable for an old mansion residence.

Pleasant short stay in charming historical building in quiet older section of town, with Cupola view of town. Walking distance to Portland Museum of Art and the harbor. Very friendly staff. Would stay there again.
