We only stayed one night and the staff were very friendly. The room was nice but let down by not having any hot water when we tried to use the shower in the morning. Can’t recommend it for this reason as it is fundamental
3.3
Pleasant hotel in walking distance to local museums and tube station. Comfy beds and clean rooms.
Struggles to get in shower as shower screen fixed and left very little room to get in, then no hot water in shower. Strangely the sink and bath taps were hot but no matter how long you run shower for, no hot water.
Heating in room was on full all night, so had to sleep with window open, with traffic noise keeping us awake until 1am.
Ok for a one night stay, but couldn’t have done another sleepless night and no shower.
3.3
Superb central London location. The beds are comfortable. The hotel's steps are rather steep for the elderly. Will keep in mind this hotel for the future trips to London. Thank you.
3.3
Lovely will come again
3.3
Basic room at a reasonable price
3.3
Just disappointing. No lift, loads of stairs which were dodgy. Stair carpet was loose and could be dangerous. The room was just basic/tired with outdated furniture. Very little space in the room. No evidence of recent decoration with chips in the walls.
Bed and bedding were nice.
No breakfast option.
3.3
Lovely hotel, clean and reception very friendly.

We had the best time in London. The hotel is a little dated but was clean and friendly staff, what more do you need...Location brilliant would definitely stay here again.
3.3
Arrived at the hotel at 10.30pm to check in. Was asked for photo I d which I was not aware was required. No mention on any email when booking. Luckily my wife had hers.
No hot water in the room. Tv had no terrestrial channels working. Just apps.
Clean laundry and bedding.
Cheap hotel however no hot water is not acceptable
3.3
Hotels.com advertised the room with a price and I ended paying double for a tiny room with rotten curtains and carpet, bad smells, broken things, 20 years furniture... 2 stars "hotel" after Afghanistan standards maybe. I will never go back even for free and never use Hotels.com again.

Stayed 1 night whilst attending the RAH. Got a good price for a hotel in South Kensington. It is a period building that has not seen any renovation for some time.It has a 1970's bedsit vibe about it, with no communal areas or bar/restaurant. That all said for £70 it was more than adequate. The room was small but was clean and quiet. There is no air conditioning but the room did have a fan. It is located right by the underground station with shops bars and restaurants on the doorstep. 5 minute walk to the museums.
3.3
The room was nowhere near big enough for 4 people. There was no floor space. The window opens wide enough for an adult to fall out. The shower was so hot we weren’t able to use it. The beds were uncomfortable so we all came home with sore backs.
3.3
Comfortable, quiet hotel. Cool on a hot day. Working tvs, clean and cosy beds. Spacious bathroom. The shower screen leaked so there was a lot of water on the floor after washing, but other than that I can't fault it.
3.3
The hotel was very nice our room was huge an we had everything we needed and was nice not to be hearing the other guests making lots of noise in there rooms. staff were very friendly and helpful only down side is there is no lift for prams and wheel chair users. Will definitely stay again but when my youngest is walking so we can get in the tubes more easily
3.3
Reasonably priced for a stay in central London in August. Room was a decent size, the bed was not that comfy and the bathroom was tiny. Reception staff were friendly. Very convenient for tube.
3.3
To many stairs to get to the room we had four large flights if stairs with heavy suitcases
3.3
alright for one night
3.3
Good for the price

We don't need any elegrant and extra service. The hotel give you a clean and tidy room. The location is very very convenient. You cannot request any more at this price. The only thing I think that they can improve is to provide one more socket for charging.
3.3
The location near the South Kensington tube station was great. The hotel staff were friendly. The WiFi was not very strong. The hotel rooms were a bit tired and there was no lift. But still a great place to stay.
3.3
Great location within easy reach of the museums and the west end. Lots of places to eat locally and a safe location with good public travel links to airport and sites.
3.3
Really nice place for the price, hotel could do with some modernisation though
3.3
Last minute booking and the family room was perfect for what we needed. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and quiet.
3.3
Really lovely and simple twin room, super comfy beds
3.3
This hotel was fine and cheap for the area. Location great. Dated but clean. Why moan. Its value. Only problem was bed and mattress condition. Definitely need upgrade. But fine stay overall
3.3
Good location but expensive for a very basic, small room. Nice clean sheets, but tired decor. Lots of stairs! Fine for one night after a concert but otherwise not a hotel you would spend anytime in.
The view from our room was a brick wall!
3.3
Really friendly welcome and gave us a free early check in. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was v spacious and had everything we needed for our two children and three adults. Plenty of tea and coffee and though the building is old they make the best of it. Clean yes perfectly
Wil be returning again

This so-called "hotel" of a Dickensian quality is in fact a filthy establishment that lacks basic hospitality features. Filthy carpets, iron-burnt upholstery, lack of soap in the bathroom, etc. Most probably a dodgy outlet for different kind of services than the ones it advertises for.
3.3
Nice hotel. Old but clean. Staff were really friendly.
Room had a kitchette which was a bonus if we needed
3.3
It was easy walking distance from the station. Staff were friendly.
It was off putting to have personal documents copied upon arrival and money taken from my credit card, especially when there were no facilities such as a mini bar in the room. I travel a lot for work and when using hotels.com rarely have to provide such things.
When I reported issues with my room staff were receptive and expressed plans to see to these after I had left (rather than during my stay).
The room was a little shabby, carpet dirty, fixures broken. I stayed during a hot time and the smell of the drains was very strong.
The shower had two settings: hot and very hot. The toilet required you to carefully position the handle otherwise it continued to flush. But the bedding was clean and fresh as were the towel.
As a practical place to sleep and keep the rain off ones head it worked well.
3.3
Great stay! Biggest room we had in the UK, there is no lift, but we knew that and prepared for it so it was not a problem. Everyone was great and very helpful
3.3
Much better than I was expecting for the price! Room was comfortable and spacious and included tea/coffee making facilities. View was disappointing, as it looked out the back, but room was quiet. Superb location for museums, parks, and the tube, and surrounded by lovely bakeries and cafés! Staff were friendly, too. Definitely on my list for a future visit.

Great

Whilst the cost reflected the staus of the Hotel, I was extremely disappointed and a little amazed about being reqiured to hand over a refundable deposit for possible damages arising from my occupancy. This feature of their hotel contract was not made clear in any of their listings.
3.3
It was exactly what we wanted. Lovely room with nice view.
3.3
Great place to stay. Convenient for tube, friendly staff, clean room and good facilities. Some fittings in need of a bit of repair but only superficial. Strong recommend and I will reboom
3.3
This was arranged by hotels.com as part of a relocation, the check in was quick - mind you will have to pay a security deposit, been advised this is returned within a couple of days. Location is perfect, 1 minute walk from South Kensington station. We went for the quadruple room, which was a double and 2 singles. A bit cramped, but did the job as we spent most of the time out and about. Staff and reception super kind, 5 stars to them
3.3
Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean but on the small side. With the Expedia handicap filter on, their site showed this hotel, which we then booked. However arriving at hotel, we found no lifts/elevators. Very disappointed but with the Expedia filter, as the hotels separate website states there are no lifts/elevators.
3.3
Absolutely Brilliant for The Price

Very Clean Too
All the moaners Stop watching 4 in a Bed
