The Hotel rooms were very dirty we found our room smelling bad, with the toilet not clean as well for the shower with hairs and moad, I asked to cancel my room but I was not allow due to no refound policies. The first recepcionist was very nice, however the one at the night was very rude and unrespecfull, every one else was very nice during our stay !

The location is great, close to many transport links but still in a quiet enough area. The morning staff were very friendly and super helpful.
The hotel cleanliness however leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t mind budget hotels but i expect clean carpets on the floor. Clean mattresses, not finding dead skin and stained mattresses in every room. A foul smell on multiple floors of the hotel. The evening staff were also just rude and barely acknowledged the existence of guests unless pressed to do so.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

Not impressed with the hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel. And bar area pestered by flies when having a drink, bugs in the bed. Not impressed one bit.

This property was a bit run down and drab; felt a little grubby. I stay in this area of Lyon frequently for work. The quality of the breakfast was poor for the price of 14Eu. There are plenty of affordable breakfast options nearby so I would recommend skipping the hotel breakfast. Very convenient to train, tram and metro. Good location; not a great value.

The room was extremely small, and the bed was hard as a rock. The walls are really sad, feels like a prison.

Good for a night stay. Great location. Don't expect much

Very convenient location next to Gare Perrache and 20-25 minute walk to city centre and Old Lyon.
A family member and I stopped over in Lyon to watch a Rugby World Cup match in St-Etienne the following day. A convenient location with easy access to the train station and reasonable walk from the city centre and the old city were the main criteria in choosing this hotel.
In this regard, the hotel delivered 100%. Also, staff were very friendly and helpful.
However, room was very small and somewhat worn down - the bathroom door didn't have a lock on it! It was unseasonably hot for end of September (almost 30 degree highs during the day), but room was OK with window open (surprisingly little street noise given location).
It suited our purposes, but I would not recommend for a longer stay in Lyon.

it was nice, clean, and in a good area. Checked out 15 minutes late and it wasn’t a problem!

Good location parking in road outside if you can find a space but is free overnight
Very noisy next to a busy road cars and trams early in the morning
Decor dirty needs updating

Very convenient being next to the train station. You can't hear any of the trains which was great. Rooms are a bit dim and the AC works but not great at cooling the room right down. Overall very happy with the accommodation

The property was in a very convenient location, near the train/bus and restaurants/shops. It was a great area! Only problem was the air conditioner was not working, which they warned us about. Room was too hot, otherwise all was fine.

Our stay was very satisfactory. Very clean. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good food. Everything we needed, transportation, shopping, dining etc was close by. Such an array of dining choices all with 1 to 3 minute walk. I would recommend to my friends and family.

A very good hotel and very good value for money. It is also very well located.

This place was awful, made worse by the fact that Lyon is full of affordable, cute boutique hotels. Upon arrival, both my colleague and I needed to move to new rooms because our original rooms both had a terrible stench of mildew. My room had mosquitos flying all over. Very little noise control, I could hear my neighbors cough and watch TV. Front desk staff with major attitude consistently (stayed for three nights). Please find another place in Lyon - there are so many better options!

The hotel was in an ideal location, within walking distance from the place bellecour. There are plenty of places to eat within easy reach of the accommodation. The price of a night at the hotel was not very expensive. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. The staff at the reception were friendly.

The smallest hotel room I have ever been. We couldn't open two middle size luggage at once. The luggage had to stay closed between the front door and the toilet door, on the aisle.
After a shower, the bathroom floor was all wet. Polled of water.
I do not recommend at all. I won't come back.

The Hotel de Campanile was a safe and comfortable haven at the end of a long day. Our room was lovely and spacious with a comfy bed and warm shower with good water pressure. Also the receptionist was friendly, attentive and most helpful. We felt very welcome at this hotel and we will come again for sure!

Very happy with location and room. Would recommend to stay

Decent hotel, close to shopping, restaurants and train station. Room is on the smaller side (as most European rooms) but clean. One negative is that the pillows for sleeping are very small and very, very firm. If you like a softer pillow, bring your own as these are hard. Breakfast was good and average in price (about 10 Euros each). Also, I've noticed that most hotels rooms don't provide facecloths; another thing to bring if you like to use one.

Although the room was small, it was very comfortable and clean. The Double glazing kept out the sounds of the city for this weary traveller who needed to be up early. The breakfast was excellent value for the extra 10 euros. I'll certainly be back.

This hotel is ideal for a short city visit to Lyon. Well located, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are not huge as previous posts mention but we managed (2 adults and a 4 yr old) for 3 nights. Would definitely recommend and also stay at other Campaniles' if they are like this one!

The Campanile Lyon Centre - Gare Perrache - Confluence is situated between Lyon's two rivers and is within easy walking distance of the historic Old Town, making it an idea location from which to start an expedition of the city. Directly beside Perrache train station, it has excellent transport links, although bear in mind that this is not Lyon's main train station, the Gare Part-Dieu, although the hotel is readily accessible from there via tram. The receptionist who checked me in was extremely pleasant, enquiring about my journey and taking time to point out (in French) key locations on a map to me when I confessed that I was not familiar with Lyon. Both check-in and check-out were very straightforward. My single room was fairly small, but given the low price, I was perfectly satisfied, especially as, with the exception of the stiff door, everything was clean and fully-functional. A fridge in the room would nevertheless have been a welcome addition. The bathroom was however larger than I anticipated. The hotel was undergoing refurbishment during my stay and should be even better appointed once renovations are complete. My worries that the hotel might be noisy due to its proximity to the railway proved unfounded and my sleep was not disturbed. I was also fortunate enough to have a scenic view of the park outside. All in all, the Campanile Lyon Centre - Gare Perrache -Confluence provides excellent value for money to travellers looking for a place to spend the night in Lyon.
