So the stay started off rough, neither our room or my moms had a working phone. My room was mssing a light, the tv didn't work. The front desk employee had to get an okay from the manager to move our room to one with everthing working. Much better but my moms phone still didn't work.

To start when we pulled up it was a bit shady going into the filthy lobby was another experience while the manager and her coworker were talking amongst each other and using foul language which I was beside myself we get up to our room which the Halls were disgusting kids and families playing in the Halls garbage outside the doors but we couldn't get in our room so I called on my cell phone downstairs and she refused to come up and help fortunately another guest helped us get into our room however the beds had springs coming out lopsided the room was atrocious no screens on the windows bugs stuck to the ceiling of the bathroom lights not working phone have no cord it was just disgusting the most important part of a hotel stay is the bed and they refuse to switch our room I told staff we wanted to leave at night early I had a wedding to go to so I had to stay for at least the two nights and the manager behind the desk said well what's the big deal you only have been spent fu***** 80 plus bucks. Talk about being appalled. I'm in the middle of trying to get the refund as we speak I do not recommend going to the Newport motel 6 to anyone ever!

Bedroom linens although clean were paper thin.
The beds were no more than a thin mattress over a double cot. One reading light over bed was out. Limited selection of TV stations. The tub shower faucet fixture is loose and ready to come off with more use. The property is in a good location but very, very, dated. It has great potential with an investment by the owners. The current room rates speak for themselves. One pays for what they get.
In the property's present state, the room rates should be lower. Staff very friendly!

This motel was extremely dirty. Stairs ONLY, NOT helpfull for people that have knee issues. Sleep on top of bedding, shower gross didn't drain at ALL. Would not go back ever.....

Fairly clean, except dead bugs on ceilings. Service was friendly. Downstairs had a heavy mildew smell; I had to switch to 2cd floor, which was a smoking floor. Hotel appears to disable the keys each day. Overall, OK, but worn.

Actually once past HORRIBLE lobby, room was clean.
Lobby had stained seating / smells and floor filthy. I wanted to run! However jazz festival weekend …. Once we got to clean, modern room - great stay for our needs. ACCEPTED Doggie - a well behaved doggie, but a doggie no less.

My reservation were canceled when I arrived at the hotel by Expedia and no one was available from your organization to assist me. I am a 10 year member with your organization never expected Expedia to fail me this way. Needless to say I will no longer booking through you and you can rest assured that I will be sharing this horrible experience with through my network of connections, friends and family.

Lots of what seemed like homeless people either hanging near the door, which was always unlocker, or hanging by cars in the parking lot. The lawn care crew came the last day we were there and blew all the grass & garbage from the parking lot all over my car. Saw needles & used condoms in the parking lot too. The room itself was fine for sleeping & showering but the window lock was broken which made for a nervous couple of nights.

Cheapest option for Jazz Fest. Skeptical to stay but ended up being ok. Room was clean front desk staff were kind and friendly. Walked next door to a great Brewery and distillery.
Bus stops out front to get downtown.

This motel was so unclean. Things were falling off the walls. The shower curtain was COVERED in mold. There was other peoples hair EVERYWHERE. the bathroom was disgusting. I could go on for a while but all in all, one of the dirtiest places I’ve ever seen.

A last minute booking for the Newport Folk Festival this was the only somewhat affordable option!
This motel 6 is on the boundary of a shopping mall and arriving at night we weren't sure what to expect. But over the course of 3 nights we found this motel very safe, very clean and above all - ALL the staff were super friendly and helpful. Especially when, after I left I realized I had left a garment bag behind. Naitza went to the trouble of finding it, packing it and mailing it back to me: truly great customer service!
The motel offers snacks and free coffee, so in terms of places to eat, within walking distance, I recommend Bagel Boys for their delicious breakfasts and homemade banana bread; and the 99 Restaurant & Pub - great fresh fish dishes.

Not impressed and won’t return. I reserved a nonsmoking room many months in advance and was given a smoking room. The clerk said she couldn’t change it and blamed it on Hotels.com. She tried to contact a manager but no one was available. Then the manager did finally show up and was unfriendly and rude and also blamed Hotels.com. The smell of the room was terrible. They gave us air freshener which we doused all over every day. It barely helped. Also, our room keys never worked so every night we got locked out and had to have them reset the keys. The bed was comfortable but didn’t have a blanket on it. We were given 3 towels and one tiny bar of soap. No one came to provide more or clean up the room for the 4 nights we were there. Had to ask for more at the front desk. The walls to the hall were so thin we could hear everything. The tub had burn marks all over it. Additionally, room was advertised as having a fridge, but did not. I think there were other things falsely advertised, too. No coffee maker or microwave. Since this was Newport Folk Fest weekend, we couldn’t change to a different hotel as all others were booked or far overpriced. We paid over $1000 for 4 nights, which is outrageous for what we got.

The place is dirty. The floors and stairwells were not cleaned. There was a terrible smell throughout the halls and room itself. The lighting was awful. the room had a battered refrigerator and half ass painted. The drapes were not hung properly. The outlet was exposed without a outlet cover on it. There were no lightbulbs in the lights next to the bed. The room over looked the back parking lot with a full dumpster right next to the entrance to the building. Also there was a handy man running an electric drlll with tools all over the floor outside our room. There were also bugs crawling in the bathroom and in the main room. Just disgusting. If it weren’t so late and there were other rooms in the area I would have gladly paid extra! Definitely a rip off at $350.00

Went to Rhode Island for our anniversary and stayed there.The room key would only work for one day at a time had to go to the desk every time to get it reprogrammed.i asked for a non smoking room and there was a ash tray in the room.room was damp.I didn’t know that you had to ask for room service so we never got new towels until I asked for them. They had a sign on the wall saying if you don’t like the room you have only 15 minutes to let the front desk know for a refund. The hotel reaked of weed. I will never ever stay at that or anyone of theirs ever again. Signs all over the parking lot to lock your vehicles we are not responsible for damage or theft to them very sketchy place

The place reeked of smoke in non smoking rooms. my kids are allergic and we left immediately after entering the rooms. the sheets were stained, floors filthy and the bathtubs were cracked and broken. i have pictures. this place would be condemned if an inspector visited. i want a refund

The room was clean and the staff were amazing!!! Coffee and breakfast snacks were available in the morning. The housekeeping staff were sweet, friendly, and very accommodating. The fridge, microwave, and ice machine all worked well. The location was excellent! The price was right, there was plenty of parking, and I felt safe with my children. Location is next door to Walmart and a grocery store with many surrounding fast food/restaurant locations. I will definitely use this property again.

The hotel is truly horrible for its cost of $230 per night. Dirty, smelly, there was hair in the bathroom, the floor was dirty, there was no soap or shampoo, and the "clean" towels were stained. I would never return to this place.
