Lovely hotel - really comfortable and welcoming.
Very nice location, very nice service and very nice food.

We had the most amazing time at The Dial House. The hotel was amazing, beautifully decorated, clean, very friendly & welcoming staff where nothing was a problem. In the evening it was cosy & welcoming with a roaring open fire. The tipi tent was beautiful & such a great idea. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for an amazing time The Dial House, we can’t wait to return

Clean and cheerful room and property. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice lounge and outside sitting areas.

Lovely place with a great relaxing lounge and the best food we had in the U.K.

Tiny room. Couldn’t swing a cat. Tiny shower closet. No space for luggage. Overwhelming smell of air freshener, triggered my wife’s asthma. No service to speak of. Staff went home at 6pm and left guests to fend for themselves. No food anvail in evening although receptionist did recommend an excellent Italian restaurant. Eyesore of a rundown tepee in the garden totally not in keeping with the rest of this pretty village.
On the plus side, a lovely building, central location, nicely maintained. The breakfast was very well cooked and waitresses have amusing Del Boy posh accent imitations.
Overall, the smallest room I’ve stayed in for a very long time plus the lack of service and high price charged lead to 3/5 at best. I wouldn’t return.

Great location

The family room was perfect for our family and it is right in the heart of Cobham. Yet, the restaurant and rooms are slightly off the road which provides a bit more privacy and it is not noisy.

Only criticism we had was that the room and the bathroom were very small. A larger person would have had trouble being able to fit on the loo or in the shower. Also we would have liked two chairs in our room as we stayed for two days and it would have been much more comfortable to watch the Olympics not from our bed. Sitting up on the bed wasn’t very comfortable. We realise the room was too small for two chairs but we thought we had paid for more comfortable room than it turned out to be.

Absolutely loved this spot. The food. The fire. The staff. Amazing

Nice hotel. But could have done with some drawers in room and a decent hair dryer.
Also would have been nice to be offered a hand woth luggage as the stairs were quite uneven.

Lovely old building, tastefully updated to serve as a good hotel. Excellent kitchen; both dinner and breakfast were tasty, imaginative and well served. Parking was tight but manageable. Despite numerous posted warnings in the bathroom about "VERY hot water" and "Towel rail will be HOT", the towel rail stayed cold throughout our stay and the basin water ran no more than warm. The shower was good, though, with plenty of hot water and pressure although it was very cramped for space. We still enjoyed our stay very much; this is a lovely property, very central, within easy walking distance of everything yet far enough from the main road for traffic noise not to register.

We loved everything about the Dial House.
Its location in the center of Bourton on the Water made it easy to get around. We had 3 different rooms due to making reservations at different times & they were all comfortable & charming. The breakfasts were delicious & filling. I highly recommend The Dial house!

It was mother-daughter weekend trip to attend perfume workshop in beautiful setting of Cotswolds. We throughly enjoyed whole experience of the weekend walking along the water, eating beautifl meal at the hotel, and peaceful evening in our room.

Location was fantastic. Located in the heart of Bourton-on-the-water, near a pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants and right by the River Windrush. We stayed at the Oscar Room which has a great view of the town and the river. Bourton-on-the-water was also a larger town with more amenities. The other town to consider staying in is Stow-on-the-wold. There are other nice little towns in Cotswold but will have to drive out to get anything else. The only thing is, the Hotels.com website indicated breakfast was included so we didn’t pay for a room with breakfast because there wasn’t this option. Overall, thank you for the lovely stay. Service was excellent with friendly staff.

Very cosy property. Stairs to room 9 were steep with not much room at the top of the landing for cases whilst trying to get the key in to unlock the door to our room. Some might really struggle with this.

Lovely warm welcome from staff at the hotel
Perfect location within the village
Plenty of choice for places to dine
Only downside for hotel was there were several scuff marks on the walls of the hotel room which let them down otherwise perfect stay was had

Great Hotel! Very nicely decorated and the restaurant was very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Will recommend this property to friends.

A reasonably priced property that is quaint and central to the village. The room was tiny and smelled musty, especially the bathroom. There were also big cobwebs above the wardrobe. It was fine for one night and we had an excellent breakfast. If I was staying longer than one night I would pay for a better room. The communal rooms were lovely. We were able to keep the car in the car park for a few hours after checking out which was much appreciated. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful.

We had an amazing 3 night honeymoon stay at The Dial House. Our room was lovely, wonderful food plus great service while we stayed. Definitely book again.

Lovely comfortable room in the Attic. Very clean with a large comfortable double bed, window that opens and a large fan provided. Pretty decor and a good shower. Would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.A little fridge would be a plus. Unusual bar in the backyard with a cool atmosphere and tasty snacks. A lovely old hotel and we would definitely return.

The Dial House was wonderful and every interaction was top notch. Our room was beautiful.

The room was pleasant, but the staff of Karl (Manager), always smiling and welcoming Kai, for his amazing cocktail knowledge and presentation, and Annie and Olivia were all amazing and eager to please. Maxi garden tent was super and loved it’s decoration. Breakfast was incredible and well portioned, so all in all nothing whatsoever to fault! The town was very busy, but lovely and the Dial house being set back from the main road was very well placed!

Perfect location, set back from main street. Staff friendly. We didnt eat there but had a couple of drinks at the end of the night.
We stayed in a room in the coach house annex. Bedroom was fine but bathroom was very narrow. Water very hot, condensation was a bit of a problem.
3.0 / 10.0
You can’t fault the location. However, it was definitely not worth the money (we paid £160 for one night with a blue light discount code). The bathroom was particularly grim with dirt. The bedroom was sweltering hot (in March) but you couldn’t open the window as it was ground floor and it felt unsafe to leave it open. Maxi’s was aesthetically pleasing however it certainly gives London food/drink prices a run for its money! Can’t say we’d recommend or return. Feels like it should cost around £50/£80 a night.

Hotel was right in the heart of Bourton. The room was nicely done out but lacked a usb port and a safe. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't eat there because we were attending a party so cannot comment on the food. Overall a very nice hotel.

We arrived early but were allowed to check in and were given a hand with our luggage and shown straight to our room. The room was clean and warm and freshly decorated. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our evening meal was very nice as were the breakfasts each day.

Great location in Bourton. Room was quite small. Bathroom needs a bit of an upgrade. Tile grouting discoloured and but of mould around shower. Wi fi very good & good breakfast. Staff were pleasant

Staff really friendly, the shower wasn’t spotless but otherwise the room whilst small was perfectly comfortable for a 1 night stay. Excellent location and nice seating area outside.Breakfast was nice but could have been slightly more substantial. But I am greedy ;-)
