My friend and I stayed at this location for a Saturday night while visiting Latacunga. The hotel is nice, but is located next to a discotec. Music from the disco could be heard clearly in our room. The music lasted until about 5AM. We were both unable to sleep. The shower had semi-hot water. For the price was paid for this, I was expecting a lot more than what we received. Definitely not going to stay here ever again.

The hotel is in the heart of old Latacunga so we could walk just about everywhere. Latacunga itself is a base for visiting Volcan Cotopaxi and Quilotoa, two of Ecuador's premier sites.
While it may strange, it was very cold there during our visit and, of course, buildings are not heated including this hotel. I asked for and received a space heater, without which my stay would have been very difficult.
One unexpected surprise was having to pay cash for the room, since the pandemic has reduced the hotel's occupancy rate to such a low level that they no longer have sufficient volume of activity to maintain their account.

Hotel owner had a family party - which kept going until late. They didn't not stop until, we asked for a second time. You either run a business or you don't. I don't care about the owners celebration schedule. Breakfast, which was included, wasn't ready in the mornings - However, it was a good breakfast. In the two days that we were there, they never picked up and/or cleaned the tables from the party, The cherry on top was to be contacted from the Hotel (private email) accusing me of not checking out and not paying. On top of that, they have the number of nights and reservation code wrong, so i told them that i will only listen to them, if they acted thru hotels.com. The people working there were very nice (front desk and kitchen), feel sorry for them, as I believe they are understaffed and they do what they can. Overall unorganized and wouldn't recommend staying here, unless they get it together. The fact they consider themselves 4 star is laughable.

The owner cancelled our two night reservation and argumentes that he never received any booking from Expedia.
That specific weekend was in high demand and the gentleman did not offered us any other solution NOT even an apology.
Definitely NOT trustworthy.

Initially they gave us a room without a window but they moved us after we asked and gave
Us a fantastic room with windows all across and a view of the lit church tower.
The staff at the hotel are very kind and helpful. They arranged a tour to Cotopaxi volcano
That was great.

Rolled into Latacunga around 4pm on a rainy Sunday after a day at Cotopaxi. The town was essentially deserted, which was fine, but so was the hotel. The person on duty seemed surprised that we had arrived, despite our reservation. The room we were shown was quite small and the decor very dated. The courtyard outside the room seemed nice and newly renovated. No one seemed too interested in helping us find a place to eat and it was made clear that the hotel's restaurant would not be available. One night was enough.

Our stay here was just one night, but it's a pretty cozy place at a descent price. The gentleman at the front desk spoke English pretty well and helped us plan our next hotel stay by making a reservation for us in the next town we were headed to. The breakfast isn't included here, but a nice breakfast is offered. Overall the place is clean, fairly secure, and reasonably quiet.

Great hotel, great roof view. Loved the experience of it all.

The hotel was a converted mansion located in the old part of the city. Each room was appointed different and were attractive. The breakfast/dining area was the covered courtyard that is common in the old haciendas. Beds were the typical Ecuadorian very hard mattresses. Nothing unusual in this.
While the staff did not speak much English, they tried very hard to be attentive to our needs.

We reserved two dbl beds.. they gave us one dbl. So they squeezed in a single into the room with space for one double and charged us the same amount. My bed was right next to the neighbours clothes closet and it was crash bang crash bang right next to ear when I was trying to sleep. They locked the entrance door to the building itself...or rather they bolted it as there was no key. Trying to get back into the hotel during the day ... we had to continually bang on the door to hopefully get someone's attention ... we even tried banging on their restaurant door. This was not impressive to say the least .. what if I had needed help ?.. but we were totally pi$$ed off when in the middle of the afternoon and a downpour of rain started ... we raced back to the hotel to find both doors solidly bolted and no one there. I was so frantic to get in I became worried my pounding might break the glass. The service WAS excellent when there was someone there ...and VERY nice people. Breakfast ample and tasty.

We arrived at 9:30pm into the unknown, more than a little apprehensive about what we had done just getting on a bus, into the heart of Ecuador we had no idea how far it was from the street corner we exited the bus. After a two minute taxi ride we knocked on the outside door and stepped into a glorious hacienda that made us feel like we had stepped back in time the gentleman that checked us in have very good command of English and excellent manners. We loved our little room, it was not small but it wasn't large. We were charmed by the furnishings and old world style. This place utterly enchanted me and in the morning our host was gracious enough to show me around a little. If I had to anything bad it, I can I never had such bleached stiff sheets in my life.
