So this hotel was about 15 minute drive NE of Akureyri. If you want to be in the city within walking distance of things, not the place for you. If you want to walk out and see the fjord and mountains in the distance, it's perfect.
My twin room is nothing special. Basic, but was clean. Shower had good water pressure. Bed was a little on the firm side, but I slept fine.
The amenities were great. Restaurant was really good for both breakfast and dinner. Hote has a free coffee/hot chocolate machine that was basically accessible all day. Pretty much similar to the ones in the gas stations that they charge you 5 bucks for. I'm almost certain I drank my nightly rates worth in that alone. It also has a lower level with a pool table and dart board, etc. If you're with a large group of people and want a space to chill in, it's the perfect set up.
Would definitely go back.

This hotel has a lot to offer: from hikes to the shore to hot tub. The rec room saved the day for my family where we played darts and pool. The view of sunset are gorgeous.

Owners really extends hospitality to guests. Pointing out nearby attractions. On site there are walking trails and other amenities. Rooms are thoughtfully equipped for travelers. Great breakfast spread. Even a taste of cod liver oil.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It’s a large property nicely maintained that overlooks the ocean fjord. I saw Wales in the ocean in the evening and also in the morning. The food was very good.

Absolutely beautiful property. Must be one of the best in the area. Saw whales from the beautiful sun room facing the waterfront. Short walk to the water is nice. Cylo turned viewing tower was a great touch.

We stayed at this property for one night as we traveled the Ring Road during our first trip here to Iceland. The rooms were clean and well-kept and the picturesque backdrop of the ocean, mountains and midnight sun was stunning. Breakfast the next morning was also included and delicious. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

The property ground at Hotel Natur is superbly maintained. We enjoyed very much the amenities offered, including hot tub, sauna, and a massage chair. We had a very relaxing night and loved the morning walk on the trails on property after enjoying a satisfying breakfast.
Last but not the least, waking up to the scenery of glacier as backdrop for an arriving cruise ship is truly fascinating.

Its about 10 miles away from Akureyri but it is very nice and relaxing. They have a viewing tower that you can use anytime. You can stroll towards the water and relax. One of the cleanest rooms we stayed in Iceland.

Beautiful view of the fjord and mountains across the fjord. Friendly staff. Rural but close enough (<10 miles) from Akureyri to go to dinner.

Hotel staff --nor anyone, for that matter-- were nowhere to be seen when we arrived, but the management was available via a phone in the reception area, and they told us to come back later. We explored the very pleasant town of Akureyri, which is just a short drive away, and when we returned, the owners son greeted us and engaged us in friendly conversation during the check in process. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. There was a common area with a kitchen, adjacent laundry room, and an observation deck that overlooks the stunning Eyjafjörður. I would love to stay there again.

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking a Bay, or Fiord. (not sure of the correct name) There are two building that you are able to stay in at Hotel Natur. The front building is nice and has a silo with a lookout tower where you are able to look out over the water. We did not stay in the front building. Across the street is another building high on the hill. We stayed there. It was clean, and private, and a great place to look for the Aurora Borealis (northern lights) It had a nice balcony and OH WHAT A VIEW! Look at my pictures. This room had a kitchenette and a nice bathroom, and was very spacious. You need to be aware that this hotel is 8-10 miles outside of town. If you are looking for northern lights, it's where you want to be.

Very very nice hotel guesthouse. Rooms were very clean and in a beautiful area. We loved the kitchen area and used it for breakfast and dinners. Saving us some money. Stayed two days, wish we could have stayed longer. Great location close to the whale watching ships.

we had a late check in, and the owner was very accommodating. Very comfortable bed. The upstairs just got a little too hot, had to turn the heater off. Bathroom is great, clean and big.
