Hoat was friendly and made fresh breakfast every morning. Responsive and understanding of needs and arrival times.

We absolutely loved the location, far enough away to be quiet but close enough to quickly walk to town. Great breakfast, clean and cozy room.

Small guest house with very lovely owners! Rooms are clean and comfy!
Kate makes a delicious breakfast!
The only thing one should consider is that a freshly prepared breakfast takes time- so add 10-30mins to your stated time.

Wonderful people.

Limited parking at B&B. Parking on street required residential parking permit. We ended parking across street in market parking lot. This was OK as long as the supermarket didn’t complain.

The guest house is about a fifteen minute walk from the city centre.
We arrived only to be met by a woman who looked gone out to see us. Initially thinking she was the cleaner, it turned out she was the co-owner. There was no welcome greeting or introduction at all. There appeared to be no reception area. We were allowed to check-in early.
As we were walking up the stairs we were asked about breakfast. So half way up the stairs we were given a time slot for breakfast.
The room felt clean. A few broken lampshades and missing light bulbs but a nice room to lay our heads and have a shower.
The fan was broken and was told it would be replaced that never happened.
There’s a Lidl across the street for convenience.
Breakfast was okay but the sausages were straignley sweet, hence why most people had either half or two-thirds of a sausage left on their plates. Breakfast is only between 0800 and 0830.
When checking out we wasn’t asked how our stay was instead Kate said she wanted to speak with me asking why I didn’t come down for breakfast the previous day and that we had wasted her bacon and sausages. Perhaps if breakfast was cooked to order and not reheated “your” bacon that we had paid for wouldn’t have been wasted.
So no warm Highland welcome or a friendly goodbye, just a b0ll0ck!ng on the way out.

The room heat is only available during the hour the host deems, instead of the guest. It was cold! The food tasted like it was microwaved. The room had mold growing on the walls. The room was not cleaned daily. When I asked for clean towels they had long hairs on them. The carpet needs replaced or cleaned. The porch light is not left on for guest returning after dark. We booked a king size bed, the room had a queen.

It’s a cute B&B. Very friendly and bread was really good. We booked this becyit said it had a king bed. The bed was not a king. We would have found something else because we booked off it because it said it was a king bed. Other that that it’s Everything else that the website says is spot on. Great walking distance to the center of town in a quiet neighborhood across from the grocery store and the great location

Everything was excellent at an affordable price. The only negative comment was the difficulty of finding the house at night. There were no lights outside and the house number was small and not visible.

We arrived at Lydon house at 16:20 to be told that our room wasn’t quite ready. We were understanding and let the host know that we would just wait in the car. Kate came to let us know that the room was ready approx 20mins later. We were asked if we had any dietary requirements and told that breakfast will be available from 8:15am. Once in the room it was freezing cold. (Not great considering that check in was actually from 15:00). We called Kate and was informed that the heating would kick in at 18:00. We went out and once back, the room was sufficiently warm enough. The bath was really comfortable and deep and the shower was also very nice. The beds were well made comfortable and clean. The bedside lamps look like they’ve seen better days but other than that, everything else was ok.We went into the room for breakfast. Once sat down we’re asked if we would like tea or coffee. We were bought over a small cafetière and jug of milk. We were then both asked how we like our eggs. My husband let the host know that he would just like toast, the host seemed shocked by this. I was bought out a well cooked, hot veggie breakfast. The host decided to make a joke and tell my husband that she made him waste some sausages. I asked if we could have some juice and we were bought over half a small cup each of orange juice. Although the breakfast was nice, there was very little leeway on options.

If I ever find myself back in Inverness. I will definitely be staying here. Staff is quite friendly and very helpful. Even willing to try and work around my hectic Booked Tour Schedules. They called the night prior and scheduled a Cabbie fore my departure the day I checked out. They are also very conveniently located fore said Tours. No more than a mile walk to them. Also across the road from a Grocery Store that I popped across to pick up a few snacks

Excellent and enjoyable 2 night visit. Large room with good bath and shower - on demand hot water. Friendly hosts. Good breakfast. Covid measures enabled us to feel safe. Onsite carparking is helpful. The Lyndon is ideally located about 20minutes walk into centre of Inverness. We would stay again.

The rooms are beautiful, clean and with plenty of toiletries and tea and coffee. Nice decoration and artwork too. The breakfast is lovely and the facilities really nice, living room to chill with lots of tourist information. Kate the owner is very nice and accomodating, although she can snap and seem quite annoyed when busy but she is friendly and nice. It's only a 20 minute walk into the city centre and there is a supermarket opposite if you wanted that. Really a lovely little place and well worth the price, well, well well worth it. Would absolutely return.

It's an amazing guesthouse, the rooms were clean and comfy, the breakfast service is top notch and it's throwing distance from supermarkets as well as a 20 walk to Inverness city centre, passing the infamous Ness Bridge.
Kate and William were excellent hosts and even though I have autism, I felt very comfortable staying there and would recommend it to anyone going to Inverness,
