The towels were damp when we arrived. They never dried between showers either. Had to use wet towels for 3 days.
No hot water in the shower initially, although we turned the heater on for 15 minutes prior as instructed. Heater needs to be turned on for much longer before a shower and usually lasts up to 10 minutes before the water becomes lukewarm/cold again.
No mirror except in the bathroom, but since there were no outlets in the bathroom, it made it difficult to blow dry and style hair. One of the lights was out in the bathroom, so fairly dark. A small mirror anywhere in the bedroom would have helped.
Good location, close to the main road with access to the ferry to Valetta and all buses.
This is a self check in but host was very responsive to questions. Shared kitchen was convenient for storing drinks and such.
Overall, the property was dated and better options may be available for the same price point. We did not stay in the room much so it was ok.

Would have been nice to have some kind of welcome booklet or information about the area. Bathroom was clean but no shampoo provided. Beautiful floors and lovely garden

We booked the Traditional Garden Room for a 3 night long weekend and it was perfect for what we needed. It really has that Maltese feel, and we felt right home. There is plenty of room as your get a small living area that opens into the garden, unfortunately we didn't experience the best weather so were unable to take advantage of this in the morning. The bathroom is a great size, the shower is a gravity shower which is always so much better than electric, and there was always enough hot water. The bed is super comfy, there is an air-con unit as well as heating unit and a small electric heater should need it.In the living area there was a small fridge which was ideal for bottled water, as well as use of a shared kitchen. A small table & chairs and a sofa, a very small TV which a cable TV box, but not really any English Speaking channels (again not a problem for us, we put it on for the news which we got, but we are on holiday for the sights, not to watch TV)The hosts are just great. As soon as booking was confirmed they emailed with all details and help. They allowed us an earlier check in and check up on us to make sure everything was OK. On Saturday we returned to a cleaned room with fresh towels, which was really nice. All in all, we loved it. I don't think we would stay for longer than 5 days, just because we would prefer a cooked breakfast or something on a few days, and possibly a pool, but if we visit again for 5 or less we would definitely be staying here.

Very conveniently located close to waterfront. Good amenities, kitchen etc. But no staff on duty at any time and no TV

A lovely old Maltese house, with bags of character. A couple of crumbling corners but without those, it wouldn't be a lovely old Maltese house.
