Location great. Apartment ok, but description and pictures didn't match reality. We were not aware that our unit (#3) had a cellar-like feeling, without much daylight coming in. Moreover, the possibility to store luggage after check-out on the day of departure was not there and would have been very helpful for us.

Liked quiet location, convenient neighbourhood, good communication. Didn’t like, small space, uncomfortable bed, noisy fridge.

Location was lovely. The toilet “whined” regularly. It seemed whenever any water was used in the building we knew. The steep, narrow curving stairs made luggage carrying a challenge. Two hand towels and two wash clothes for 7 days was skimpy. We would have preferred regular TV options. Again, the location was excellent.

Amazing old hardwood floors and marble fireplace! BUT the bathroom had inadequate ventilation and a mildew smell. Also the windows could not be left open securely - because the room was on the ground floor the windows had to be kept fully locked for security - there was no way to lock the window in place but have it a little open for ventilation. Also, the windows lacked proper coverings - because the unit was on ground floor people outside could see in - but the only shade option was solid wood shutters. I love the old fashioned wood shutters, but the room desperately needed window coverings that let in light but provided privacy.

This was perfect for a couple nights stay in Boston. Super easy to get in and out, great location as well.

Great location with beautiful architecture around. Perfect for a week to spend in Boston and/or commute by public transport to other cities. Clean and fully furnished apartment, though sometimes the air gets a little damp (around July)

The location is great, very central, a lot of things are walking distance, air conditioning, apartment is equipped with the basics, noting special though. The shower curtain in the bathroom had a strong mold smell. It took a while for me to figure out the source of the smell. It was the outer curtain. We vented the bathroom all day and night and I sprayed peroxide on the curtain after I realized the source of the mold smell. A bathroom vanity would have been nice. The bed was too small for our taste. The communication with Sonders was uncomplicated and efficient. We had a great stay in Boston otherwise.

There was no salt, only one soap. It was difficult to get help. In general, a great place, close to different tourist spots, close to the T. Very pretty apartment and furniture

Our room (#1) was amazing. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted. Great location, most of the main attractions were 10-15 minute walk. Before we arrived I had all of the information that I needed to gain access to the building and room. We were in room #1 which is located on the main floor, we were able to get to our room by entering under the main stairs. My only issue were the pillows, the bed was very comfortable but the pillows were thin wafers. We had to use the decorative pillows for comfort. I highly recommend booking a room with them. Next time we are in Boston we will defiantly book this place again.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, very well located, and fairly convenient, but lots of stairs and no street parking.

The apartment was in a perfect location and was in good shape. It would have benefited from a full length mirror and more storage space for clothes and shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. Otherwise it had everything you need. The café table in the kitchen was broken and wobbly. We reported this but it was not repaired during our stay.

DO NOT BOOK! 1) No elevator and the apartment is on the 5th floor. 2) The windows are permanently sealed and the apartment stinks of mould. 3) only two 40ml bottles of shampoo/conditioner for 7 nights’ stay.
4) The communication is horrible- I called to ask about the windows and for 40 minutes on the phone I was reassured that it was my fault that I was too weak to open them. Two long calls later and two days later a “caretaker” came to check and (surprise) the windows were sealed permanently.
5) despite all the above, they charged me 47 dollars for checking out at 2pm.
Save your backs, save your money, save your peace of mind. Don’t book this.

Overall good, definitely need a light in kitchen area and need to spend a couple of hundred bucks for a smart TV

Great space - such great ambiance! Can't beat the Beacon Hill neighborhood. Would have liked to stay longer!

Beautiful little spot to stay in the heart of old Boston. It is a basement/ground level studio so everyone could see in but it isn't too busy of a street, and there are big shutters inside that close when you want more privacy. When we arrived we couldn’t figure out how to use the lock which led to some confusion and frustration at first, but you just have to place your entire palm over the lock screen. Not very intuitive in my opinion but we figured it out. Overall a great stay especially for the price.

Ok.. no handicap access.. no elevator, staircase rails had loose poles. Safety was a concern.

Heat was barely functioning. Had to set up space heaters we found in the closet.

Very well maintained. Nice location. Battery in lock was low, but it was fixed.

Property was clean, had everything I needed for a short stay and was easy to access. The only thing is that the photos show it to be bright and sunny when in fact the apartment was in the back of the building and looked out onto an interior courtyard. So you had to keep the shades drawn for privacy. Even with the shades open there was little to no natural light.

Great location and lovely apartment, would have been handy to know there was no lifts and the stairs were a challenge with suitcases to the 5th floor. Communication not great, took 2 days to reply about an earlier check-in with the answer as no.

The location is unbeatable, easy walking to some of Boston's best tourist sites and T stops. We loved the keyless entry and easy text communications about check-in/check out details. Our apt had just the right amount of supplies for what we wanted to do. There is zero parking, but we knew that going in and chose not to rent a car while we were in town, which worked out fine.

This place was very clean. The bed was comfortable, but the furniture in the living room was not. The television advertised it had digital channels and streaming. It had chrome cast which I didn't know had nothing on it unless you had a streaming app on your phone or computer that you could cast it to the tv. Thankfully we had Netflix, but we had no access to any news. If you had any issues you could call the number and they would take care of the problem. The first day we had no wash cloths, but they delivered them later that day. Another issue I had was there was no elevator. It is listed on the website, but they bury it down and you don't see that unless you hit the read more button. I feel they should be more up front about that and put it at the top. We were on the 5th floor, so we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs everytime we came back. It is in a great location, which makes walking to places around the Boston Commons area easy. I won't stay here again due to no elevator and no TV stations. I will get a hotel.

Safe and convenient location. Walkable distance to Copley, Boston Common, downtown and Mass General.

This hotel Its terrible, before you Make a reservation you should know They don't have an elevator and there are a lot of stairs for you to climb with your bags. So if you have a lot of bags it's terrible. They don't have a reception, everything is online and when you call to solve something, nobody knows how to solve your problem, the bathroom is small and doesn't have the basics to put shampoo and conditioner, the shower doesn't heat up properly and the room is small and the bed hard. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in the US and most expensive. Apart from that I was robbed they charged me 300$ dollars more for having checked out later is an absurd worst hotel ever! I will definitely never go back and I don't recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I selected this location for a trip to Boston. Location is perfect for walking to Boston Common, the Public Garden and stops along the T. The suite is old, yet modern and comfy. You are in a big city so expect some noise (traffic, sirens, movement and doors closing in the building). The suite was clean and the kitchen was stocked with silverware, plates/dishes, coffee and extra supplies. I downloaded the app for Sonder but did not use the concierge nor did I need to report an issue.

Loved the historic area vibe. Right on street, but still quiet at night. Propery has updated facilities and everything was super clean.

White noise machine in bedroom was great. Clean and spacious, great location. Did give us a pack n play to use for our daughter.Didn’t provide a sheet for the pack n play though. Electronic key pad to check into the room seem to not be functioning exactly properly, but we always got in and out okay. No full length mirror, and bathroom door doesn’t open all the way (hits the vanity) so can’t even stand back and see yourself.

Sonder did not allow us to check out early, we could not get refunded when we notified them that the place was not fit to stay in, extremely poor ventilation, dishwasher released a burnt plastic smell into the apartment, non-responsive customer service, and crowded space not as made apparent in online photos.

Sonder is a brand with a style all their own, so just be sure that is what you are looking for. For us, the location was wonderful in Beacon Hill; having a kitchen of sorts and living area was nice; apartment was clean; and communication was terrific. On the flip side, there was nothing comfy about the living room and kitchen area and we did miss having a place to “flop” and relax other than the bedroom.
