About this villa rental

Welcome to the Blue Marlin. This beautiful home will win your heart - a place to create amazing memories. Marco Island is one of the jewels of SW Florida and you will be just a few of minutes from Marco and Tigertail - expansive, white sand beaches you won't to leave. But when you do, you'll have kayaks and paddle boards to explore the waterways, bikes to explore the island, or simply stay home and make the most of the canal-side heated pool, or hang at the private tiki bar!

We very much want you to feel at home, be able to relax in comfort, and thoroughly enjoy everything this beautiful vacation villa has to offer, as well as the Marco Island location and the Florida sunshine!

Imagine waking up in the king size bed in the primary bedroom with the sunshine filtering through the blinds. Open the doors from your bedroom onto the balcony to have your morning coffee, or head downstairs and jump in the heated pool, for a refreshing wake up! Then sit back and contemplate what the new day has to offer. An early morning kayak or paddle boarding trip straight from your private dock? A leisurely day by the pool? An afternoon nap? A beach day, perhaps, or exploring the island by bike. And if your schedule includes work time, set up on the patio, with a canal view - it is definitely going to beat the office! Oh, and did we mention the large private tiki bar? We have a feeling you may spend a while hanging out in there and maybe even create a margarita (or two) with our top notch margarita machine!

The house is spacious, light and airy, with vaulted ceilings in the main living areas and large glass sliders leading onto the balcony, overlooking the canal and the pool deck. It has a calming relaxed feel - recently updated, completely repainted, and everything in the house is brand new (as of August 2022). The owners have put a lot of work into ensuring the best experience for your vacation.

This house is perfect for a couple of families vacationing together and we have provided everything with this in mind. The access and main living area of the house is on the second floor, including the kitchen, living and dining area, 3 bedrooms and both bathrooms, so guests must have the ability to climb stairs. There is a den located downstairs, accessed through the garage, where there is sleeping accommodation, but please be aware that the bathrooms are upstairs in the main house.

The patio and pool deck area is where you’ll spend a lot of time! The pool is heated and there are sun chaises for the sun worshippers and floaties for you to lounge on in the pool. There is plenty of lounging space for all, with conversational seating and 2 large ‘egg’ chairs, (perfect for curling up in and reading a book). For the outdoor chefs, there is a good size grill and seating for all to sample the fresh catch of the day, or perfectly cooked steaks.

The star of the show is the huge Tiki Hut, complete with bar area, TV, arcade game and Margaritaville frozen margarita machine!

This is a waterfront property and the patio leads down to a private dock, complete with boat lift (please inquire first) and fish cleaning station. We have provided kayaks and stand up paddle boards for your use as well as life jackets.

There are also bikes for exploring the island, and for your beach days there is plenty of beach equipment. We also provide beach/pool towels as we know that packing space is tight!

• Games – board and card games and outdoor Jenga.

We can also provide a weekly cleaning service for an additional charge.

Guests will have access to the entire home, garage, pool, private dock, and the boat lift is available with a signed waiver required.

We manage this beautiful vacation home for the owners and are available by phone or text anytime during your stay. There will also be a comprehensive house manual at the property. Our guest experience is important to us and we want to make sure the property and location are right for you and your expectations are met, to ensure a great vacation.

This vacation home is on a residential street, just under 3 miles to the nearest Marco Island public beach access and just over 3 miles to Tigertail beach. Marco town centre is a 5 minute drive and there are great restaurants and bars within the same distance. We love the Snook Inn at the top of the island!

Marco is also a great place to cycle around and we have plenty of bikes at the house to help you explore. And if you prefer exploring via the waterways, we have you covered with kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.

Marco Island is approximately one hours drive south of SW Florida Airport in Fort Myers. Traffic can be heavy at times, so please allow plenty of time if you are traveling back to the airport to catch a flight
Rental cars and taxi services are available at the airport.
Marco is easy to navigate by car and is also pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Uber is available on the island.

PLEASE NOTE:
• We want you to have the best vacation experience and want to ensure that the house is right for your needs. If you request to book, we will be in touch to ask a little about your vacation plans and we will also require you to complete, sign and return a rental agreement.
• This is a no smoking home
• Minimum age requirement to rent this home is 30 and renter must be present for entire stay
• Gatherings for special events or parties are not allowed.
• Marco Island has an enforced ‘Quiet time’ between 8pm and 8am. Fines are issued and you will be responsible for them. Please keep noise to an absolute minimum after 8pm (we ask that TV viewing is moved inside by 8pm)
• Your furry family member (dogs only), may be considered upon approval and a non-refundable pet fee. 40lb weight limit and no dangerous breeds. Please inquire BEFORE booking.
• If you plan on bringing your boat and need use of the boat lift, please let us know in advance. There is absolutely no parking of trailers on the property (as per Marco Island regulations), please contact us for storage information.

PLEASE READ THROUGH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS BEFORE BOOKING AND TO ENSURE A TROUBLE FREE VACATION FOR ALL!
The minimum age required to rent this vacation home is 30 and we reserve the right to request ID. The primary renter must be present for the duration of the rental period. We will ask for a rental agreement to be completed and signed.

This home is in a private residential community and we kindly ask that you respect the neighbors and community as a whole. Marco Island has a strict noise enforcement policy and outdoor noise must be kept to an absolute minimum before 8am and after 8pm. Fines are steep and and fines incurred by the owner will be deducted from your security deposit. You will be responsible for direct fines and any in excess of the deposit.

Pets. We will consider small dogs (no cats) under 40lbs but ONLY with approval. Please inquire BEFORE booking and tell us a little about your furry family member. There is a non-refundable $100 pet fee.

Boat trailers: Boat trailers are absolutely NOT allowed to remain on the property, as per city regulations (and subject to fines). If you are planning on bringing your boat, please inform us PRIOR TO booking to discuss boat size and draft and we can supply details of boat trailer storage whilst you are here on vacation.

Boat lift: If you require the use of the boat lift, please inquire first. There is a boat lift waiver that needs to signed and returned to management before any use is authorized. If used during your stay (with permission), please ensure that it is left out of the water when not in use and when checking out.

The maximum number of cars allowed to park on the property is 4. Do not block the sidewalk or park on the grass section next to the road, or the road as this will be in violation of city regulations and you may be towed or fined at your own expense. Any fines incurred by the owner for your violation of this code will be deducted from your security deposit.

Marco island has strict regulations about garbage cans. We very much appreciate your help with pulling out the cans on collection days (details will be provided), but they MUST be back inside the garage by 6pm on collection day. If this is not a possibility, please inform us so we can make alternate plans. If you do not inform us, and the cans are left out past 6pm, you will be responsible for any city fines issued and they will be deducted from your security deposit.

Attempting to be fair here as possible Home Interior- clean; master bathroom had a running toilet which was a bit annoying, but overall was fine Property Exterior- pool was absolutely filthy, contacted property management right at check in on Saturday to advise. Very responsive at first, sent them pictures and they were trying to get someone out to clean. I understood that with the following day being Easter that Monday would be fine. Long story short, repeated inquiries not responded to and pool finally cleaned on Thursday leaving 2 of our 7 days having use of pool. The pool area shows a great outside tiki bar, however this also was not tidy as roof palms were all about. Additionally house has great kayaks and paddle boards, note ladder to launch these vessels had severe barnacle build up ( very very sharp and dangerous to kids feet) Took son and I about 2 hours to remove as property manager was again unresponsive to inquiry sent. On a positive note, home well stocked with bikes and beach equipment Location was okay, only downside was road pretty busy Overall I would definitely return to Marco Island, place is amazing for a family vacation. However for the price paid over Spring Break during our stay I would recommend an alternative rental property. I say this being 1 of 5 different sets of families staying on island in different rental homes during this week. Ours was the most expensive, however I found our friend’s rentals more desirable.

This property did not disappoint! There was plenty of room for our family of 11 adults. Our favorite part was the heated pool and the outside space. This place was very clean with lots of amenities. We would definitely stay again if we decide to vacation in Marco Island.

House was perfect for our family of 11! It had a ton of extras there to keep everyone busy - bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, etc. We had a wonderful time and would stay there again!

This property was exactly as advertised and more. The outdoor space was even more spacious than shows in pictures. Our family had the best time. We rarely wanted to leave the house or eat out! The pool was heated to 85 so the kids were in there day and night! We used the kayaks and the bikes. We rode and drove to both public beaches!! The tiki hut was a highlight also! We had the best 10 days in this rental.
