Superb location on the lake with sunset
Restaurant included with great fish dishes
But above all the help and kindness of the owner that took us on his own boat to the island monastery with some details given during the tour.
Door between bedroom and bathroom was fragile, not many privacy.

Great food, helpfull staff and great location! A great quite place with view not discovered by mass tourism
4.1
The location is fantastic. It is a bit remote, but right on the edge of Lake Bafa, in a rural setting - with chickens, cows in the neighbouring properties. Certainly an 'away from it all' experience. Because we stayed for 4 nights we had a free boat trip around the lake, which was very interesting and scenic. It is an important ancient site, with many ruins and old castles to look at. Very few tourists. Tamer, our host, was very friendly and great company over a beer in the evening. His wife is a good cook and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed. We also met a retired archaelogist, Kerem, who was great fun and very knowledgeable about the pre-christian era. Such good company.
Breakfast was good, but the evening meals were quite simple - tasty but not to the standard you would usually expect for the price. Set dinner is advertised as £12 per person, but we ended up being charged £15 per head. Prices of all beverages is also relatively high, and the prices charged are not the same as the ones written on the board behind the bar. There is no local shop or mini market that you can walk to - so you are a bit 'captive' to buying everything from the pension. I don't think it would be a problem if you are travelling with your own car.

The location is very nice. The rooms are simple, but comfortable.
I found the prices a little bit high according to the service that is provided.

The hotel is very basic but very clean and in my view it is expensive for what it offers. For example there were no insect repellent devices in the room as a result we could not sleep because of the mosquitoes. It isn’t acceptable to say that the hotel is near the lake and it is expected there are mosquitoes in the rooms. Also the room had a kitchenette but not any utensils not even two clean glasses to drink from or any bottled water which is standard in Turkey. For breakfast you have to pay for the coffee and orange juice and this was very expensive. This info was not on the website.

Fantastic location with a lovely view of the lake from the restaurant terrace and nice walks nearby plus some very old olive trees 2500 years old and very friendly owners
Bedroom fairly basic with a large , bumpy pillow

This is a calm family hotel ashore Bafa lake. Honestly we didn't expect a lot from a pension in a heart of a Turkey village but this one is a real pearl. The hosts are so friendly and do very much work to make your stay comfortable, great thanks for that! We had a really good room (with a large bed and a balcony viewing the lake), breakfasts and dinners were so tasty, and the location of the hotel allowed us to start journeys right from its doors.
The staff knows English very well (believe me, when you travel in a village, it matters a lot).
A special note for people who come here for rock climbing: you may take crash pads and a climbing guidebook in the hotel, and the owner knows the area and can give you some advises. And it's 10-15 minutes of walk to the closest bouldering sector.
Summing up, I can say that we really liked both the hotel and Kapikiri in general, and we will be happy to return here again.
Wi-Fi isn't strong and the connection may be lost in distant rooms (but when you are here, you don't need it). Furniture is old and tired a bit.

Amazing food! And a lot of it too...
It was simply splendid.

The place is located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature in a beautiful place. There are no shops, no bars etc around. This makes the place perfect for a quick stop when you are looking to rest a bit, re-charge or stay longer surrounded by nature.
The room was modest but provided everything we needed. We got a room with a lake view at no additional charge. There is a restaurant with a breathtaking view of the lake at the hotel.
Bad wifi connection anywhere but the restaurant/reception area. We had to do some work while traveling, so found it a bit of a challenge.

Fantastic view of the lake. Tasty home cooking and local breakfast.
The rooms need an upgrade (for this price point). Beds and pillows were old and lumpy.

Great location and view which were the highlights. Excellent breakfast. We had fish for dinner which was great. Nice host. Quiet environment. We clearly visited the wrong time of year and were the only guests.
Very run down hotel in serious need of upkeep. Apart from Istanbul this was the most expensive place we stayed in during our 3 week holiday. The pool was empty and has been so for some time. Only one working light bulb to light up the entire room, with no bedside tables or lights next to the bed. No electric points next to the bed. The balcony floor was broken and a potential hazard. The apartment was accessed by several flights of stairs. Wifi not great.

Great location and interesting historically. The high terrace with views over the lake is a lovely place to eat. Very helpful and friendly family run pension. Good breakfast.
The double bed was rather narrow for us.
4.1
The restaurant of the place is recommended. I ordered köfte (50 Lira) and the next day fish (150 Lira). Both was very yummie. The breakfast is good but could be improved. The view is great from the place, so go here for the food.
Unfortunately the small double rooms got stuck in the 80s, also the beds and pillows reached the close end of existence. Sleeping was a hard deal here, not comfy at all. WiFi is stabile but so slow that even most apps are not working. No water in the room when I arrived. Everything is very basic and old, a typical Turkish farm stay. The bungalows looked a bit better but still...

Amazing landscapes, fishermen boats like on old French paintings. Boat trip (50$) is highly recommended, especially if you want to swim. Homemade Ayran.
Terrific hospitality from the whole family of owners. A lot of ancient ruins to walk around.
No cleaning in two nights, limited food choice (mainly fish)
No suitable beach nearby or at walking distance - there is a good place afar (here comes a boat trip)

Fantastic location and surroundings. Very good breakfast and restaurant. The stay was not planned but a dream. The road to the hotel leads through beautiful countryside and the view of the lake from the hotel terrace is wonderful.

Superb location on the edge of Bafa Gölü with amazing mountain views. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and prepared tasty vegetarian meals specially for us. This was our fourth stay at Selenes, and we shall definitely return!

Nothing.

the location was great. I loved the fact it was rural and surrounded by archaeology. a real hideaway. my partner was I'll and they made him soup from scratch. just like Turkey used to be.
