We loved our mountain Cabin. Sitting by the pond and watching the wildlife and listening to the frogs and birds sing was wonderful! We saw Turkey hens and their babies comfortable enough to walk up to the cabin.
We had a great time! The place was perfect for us!

We stayed here while we on a motor cycle weekend during the summer. It was a GREAT relief from the heat. The house is very cozy and charming. The pond is beyond beautiful. The owners live up the path and were very helpful and accommodating. I would stay there again if I am in the area.

Had all the amenities we needed.

Cozy Mountain Cabin truly exceeded all our expectations! Marsha is a wonderful host. The cabin is located one mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway in a location in close proximity to many activities including Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, Emerald Village Gem Mine, and Mount Mitchell, as well as numerous great hikes. The cabin is also located in Little Switzerland, which is a quaint little village with great dining experiences.
The cabin was very clean and the beds so comfortable! The kitchen is very nice! We absolutely enjoyed having coffee on the front porch to start and end our days while our teenager enjoyed kayaking around the little pond.
We are so glad we found this cabin near the Blue Ridge and, if ever in this area, we will definitely stay again. We highly recommend this very clean and relaxing cabin.

My fiancé and myself had a wonderful weekend together in this beautiful cabin! The location is beautiful waking up to sit on the porch during the cool mornings with a hot cup of coffee over looking the pond and being able to watch the wildlife in the area! Plus its next to a nice little town with plenty to do in the area!!

Was the perfect cabin for our trip, and the couches and beds were super comfy!

Cabin is as described with kitschy Native American decor. The kitchen had the basics needed to prepare meals. Be aware there is a regular coffee pot, so bring your coffee grounds. If you want to build a fire inside or outside, Walmart sells firewood in their Lawn and Garden section. If you are a light sleeper, be aware that the bedrooms are one over the other. You can hear whatever someone does upstairs, even when they roll over in bed, it creaks. This bothered me, but not my husband.
I thought this was a secluded cabin for some reason. It does have houses around it. They're not on top of you, but you have one to the side and several behind the cabin. Also, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this cabin is right off a road that gets a good bit of traffic. No other real noise though. Just sharing since some people are looking for absolute quiet when looking for a place to stay.
Marsha was very responsive and nice. Very easy to work with. The cabin is conveniently located to the BRP and Little Switzerland. There is also a Walmart close by in Spruce Pine if you need anything.

Willow is a great place to rest after a long day exploring the numerous stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The location is conveniently located near the parkway without all of the traffic.
Marsha was an excellent host, with great communication, willing to help with whatever we needed.

Delightful host, with great attention to detail. Great location, close to the BlueRidge and Little Switzerland.
We look forward to our next trip.

List of major issues: 1) This is the first place we've ever stayed that didn't have a hairdryer anywhere to be found. My wife was very upset because she couldn't fix her hair how she likes. 2) It is required to have a working smoke detector in every bedroom, one on each floor/hallway. Two of the three smoke detectors were missing/broken. Also, it is required to have a carbon monoxide detector on each floor(none present) and a fire extinguisher on each floor(only one on the main floor). Not having these safety features in a wooden cabin made us nervous. 3) The entrance to the lane leading to the cabin needs to be regraded. Our car scrapped the bottom coming in and out of the driveway. 4) The cabin is very dim, many light bulbs need to be replaced. 5) Ceiling fan in the lower bedroom hums and needs to be replaced. Anytime an electric device is humming means the motor is burning out and is a fire hazard. 6) There are various electric heaters in the house, some of which hum and/or motor squeaking and need replaced.

Willow is just perfect for a getaway that's close to a lot. It's homey and quiet and the pond lends a sense of tranquility. If you are looking to escape, this is perfect! We loved it! Note that there is not a hair dryer even though the listing says there is.

Beautiful place…. Love it ….

Very nice and enjoyable! Lots of deer , rabbits, wild turkeys and of course the singing frogs. Just what was needed to relax a few days . Love that porch!

This is my new favorite place to be. I felt at home in that there was everything we needed and intuitively put where you'd look for it. I love the decor and all the artsy accents. The first few hours there we saw so many hummingbirds and several deer and heard tons of frogs. I actually miss being here.
The cabin is so secluded but a mile away is Little Switzerland with great places to eat a nice meal, a sweet treat or a cute souvenir. It rained a bit when we were there and yet it was wonderful sitting on the front porch.
Check in was seamless and the directions were sent in a text which was key to get to the place. Internet was great surprisingly which enabled us to plan our day.
Marcia is a great host and communication with her was effortless.
I actually considered giving this place a terrible review so people won't know how great it is so it'd be available to us when we want/need to come back. But that would be selfish.
We will be back, Marcia!

We met friends from another state and enjoyed our time a this rustic remote location. Just what was needed to catch-up with old friends. Place was well equipped and the wildlife was abundant.

Quiet place, pretty cabin and scenery.

Great cabin. My husband and I stayed for a few days. There was plenty of room for us and about 4 more people if needed. Every night for about 2 hours the frogs around the pond started singing. It was great! Marsha the owner was nice and helpful. She responded quickly. The driveway is steep, but doable. Would most definitely stay here again.

We wanted a family weekend in the mountains relaxing and gem mining. The cabin is amazing. Location was perfect for us, a few minutes to Little Switzerland, few more minutes to the gem mines, and lots of beautiful scenery. The pond is steps from the house. We saw frogs. We had deer come visit, and other small woodland creatures. My only complaint was we should have booked a week. The host is very nice and easy to communicate with. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back.

My Grand daughter wanted a cabin the woods, hiking and Gem mining for her 10th birthday trip. Our experience here fit the ticket, it was everything she’d hoped it would be. Marsha was great. She was quick to respond and checked in on us while we were there to make sure everything was going to plan. The only issue we had was there was no air conditioning up stairs and it did get a little warm for our Grand daughter. She used the floor fan that was provided and said she was comfortable, other than that the place was fantastic. Our favorite place was sitting on the porch, listening and watching the pond and the wildlife. We will definitely go back and stay if we’re ever in the area again. Little Switzerland was a beautiful quaint little town.

Very easy to find, easy to access, excellent location close to everything but far enough from all the hustle and bustle.

This cabin is so peaceful. Located in Little Switzerland and is on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a pond on the property and the sound of a running stream is peaceful in the morning as you watch the sun rise above the tree lines. It was a perfect relaxing week for my partner and I.

Willow cabin is truly a magical place! If you want to hide away and just be in nature, this is the place for you. My husband and I first visited Willow cabin in 2020 after getting engaged, and loved it so much that we booked our honeymoon here as well. It’s such a special place to us, and we’re so happy we got to spend 2 magical weekends there. We love it so much that we’re even planning a couple of more trips to Willow next year. Thank you so much to Marsha for being the best host and answering any questions we had!

Awesome place. Was able to get in and out with my 2012 Ram 2wd truck. Steep driveway. Bed slept like a dream. With the fireplace we never turned on the tv. Could use a new shower head but it works. 👍🏻👌

Words cannot describe the horrible experiences we had at this cabin. The property manager, Marsha, was aware of a mice infestation and didn’t notify us prior to arrival. The cabin was filled with feces and urine from the rodents. She asked us to leave early due to the mice and Now won’t refund our money despite promising that she would. RUN FROM EVER STAYING AT THIS CABIN!!!

Communication with Marsha was excellent, cabin was excellent, the weekend was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, calm, peaceful getaway.

The property was everything I expected. A very quiet location, but close to the Parkway. Excellent cabin, with all the amenities we could possibly need. The owner made check-in, our stay and check-out seamless. I look forward to coming here again. We went to various places, within an hour of the cabin, including numerous waterfalls, a cavern tour, cheese festival, antique car show and we even took in an apple orchard. Even tho what facilities were in Little Switzerland, were closed, we didn't have to go far for a meal.

We had a great stay at a very nice house set in the North Carolina Mountains with a small pond out front. The second bedroom is up the stairs along with a full bath and a 1/2 bath. The beds were good if you like memory foam! The TVs were good with limited WiFi connection that served the purpose. MARSHA the property manager was very attentive and helpful.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here for our anniversary. Marsha was very helpful and super easy to reach. The cabin was cute and the perfect quiet get away for us! And it had everything you need to feel at home.
4.8
Cozy well equipped cabin with a peaceful pond in the front. We enjoyed watching hummingbirds, frogs, and even saw a hawk. Loved the nearby Crabtree Falls hike and meal at Little Switzerland Inn. Excellent communication.

This was a great anniversary trip, the cabin was absolutely perfect for us. Sitting on the porch in front of the pond listening to all of the nature go on about us and watching the hummingbirds feed made for a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We will indeed try to stay here again in the future.

This is our second stay at the willow cabin and it was just as amazing as our first we really enjoyed it got to see the deers again and also a hawk came to visit a couple of times, It was enjoyable and relaxing just what we needed

Didn't know from the other reviews; how bad the driveway would be; But I had an AWD car and didn't have any problems whatsoever (I've definitely stayed at other houses that were much worse.) During rain, snow and ice, it may be difficult though.PROS: *Nice clean house; with well stocked clean kitchen. *Fast internet, with Roku enabled TVs*Large comfy king sized bed*Private Quiet area with just a little bit of noise from fast street above.CONS: *We do like to walk around the streets in the houses we stay at; however here it's not possible (i.e. just the driveway to a 'busy' road.) Although there is Grassy Creek Falls hike a very short drive away. *No hot tub (which is sometimes fun ;)

Love this little cottage. It's secluded enough to be cozy and private, but convenient to the parkway. Marsha does a great job giving you everything you need. The driveway is steep, but if it's dry you should have no problem getting up as long as your slow and steady.

Marsha is a terrific host and the cabin stay was just the escape that we needed to rejuvenate. We enjoyed the fresh air while surrounded by friendly wildlife. The place is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. Marsha uses high quality dishes and silverware, and it was a pleasure to cook and dine-in. There were hiccups with the water pressure, but Marsha worked with us to figure out what was going on.
