Beautiful hotel and amazing staff (like Megan who was excellent). Made my wife and I feel at home. Megan served us at Breakfast and checked us in and out, all of which was pleasant and easy going. No fuss. Breakfast was excellent, great variety and top quality ingredients. The hotel is refined and in-keeping with the area. Every detail has been thought through. Having stayed four times, we will be returning.

Have stayed in this hotel a few times now, is always so friendly & welcoming. My only negative is that the rooms are always so hot, even with the Dyson fans they leave in the room for you.
4.7
The breakfast is delicious, staff friendly and they allowed early check in because the room was available. However, the room itself - despite being the most premium they have - was noisy because the windows open onto the main road (and it's too hot to leave them closed), the room above has wooden floors so you hear others walking around and one could even hear the telephone at reception at midnight. It wasn't an awful experience but for nearly £600 for two nights I had hoped for more.
4.7
Beautiful room, lots of little trinkets given as treats on arrival. The house/hotel was stunning and food was lovely.
Only complain was that there was no kettle or tea making facilities in the room.
4.7
Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff, really love this place!

Really comfortable bed, nice room and great location. Loved the decor of the hotel in general. The only negative was the heat of the room. Fans were provided but the main fan was very noisy for sleeping at night. Didn't have the window open at night in case of a security issue and also could smell strong cooking smells from the kitchen below. However, we did like the hotel. Nice touches like complimentary biscuits and port in the room and pastries in the communal lounge area. We would stay again.

Lovey room and staff were lovey.
Lots of little touches for you to find and period perfect. Top notch tea and coffee in room with some sweet snacks. Breakfast was also good

Absolutely perfect stay . Thanks to everyone including Autumn

The checking in process was long and could be improved. No tea/coffee station in room. Other than that everything else was perfect. A stunning building, well decorated interior. Great food and lots of little home comforts provided as complimentary. I would absolutely stay again and would highly recommend

Love this hotel. A real gem of a place to stay in Cheltenham. Walking distance to the bars in the Brewery and a most amazing breakfast. Always stay here if they have space

As ever spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. A stylish boutique hotel in a top neighbourhood.

This is by far one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The building is lovely, it feels very homely. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is very attentive. We really enjoyed our stay at No. 38. Our only regret is that the restaurant was closed on the nights of our stay. Such a shame as the food looks delicious!

This is a very nice boutique hotel. Nice dining room. Cozy bar. Parking in front of hotel is limited to about 4-5 cars, depending on how well drivers park their cars. There is pay street parking but it's first come, first serve. Our room was "quaint". Bathroom was outfitted with antique sinks and toilet. Shower was the rainfall type and good. I am most upset about the lack of ventilation and our room location on the third floor. There was no airflow or air conditioning. A fan was provided but it was too hot to sleep in late June. The temperature on the lower floors was more tolerable. It must have been 10-12 degrees warmer on the third floor. The window had a cable on it to prevent opening it more than 2-3 inches I guess to keep people from jumping out. I'm 75 years old and in fair condition but lugging suitcases up about 75 NARROW steps that were poorly lit was a challenge. Management needs to ask folk when making reservations if they have difficulty managing a lot of steps. I was rather miffed that some fit appearing gen X folk were occupying rooms on lower floors. I would not recommend this hotel in the summertime due to the uncomfortable temperatures in the rooms, at least on the third floor. And God help anyone with heart or mobility issues if you're unlucky enough to be placed on the third floor.

Luca was very friendly and made it a memorable stay for us.

It's a really lovely hotel, and the staff are all welcoming and attentive. The room was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in, with lots of thoughtful touches. One complaint: the room had no real chair to sit in, to read or just to sit; only a backless stool. A comfy chair is a necessity!

It was an amazingly nice place with great services! We loved the staff there - Luca, Roxi, Jenny, Remi, and Megan were all super friendly and helpful. They made this place feel like home. Our room was very spacious with nice touches everywhere: tasteful decorations, high quality curtains and shutters, a Dyson fan, complimentary sweet wine, a wide selection of teas and coffees, a beautiful and inviting tub, etc. Being sensitive to noises, I always appreciate quite hotels. This place passed my test as a charming quiet one. If I may make some suggestions, I would say that adding some closet space and/or luggage racks would be even better. : )

This hotel refused to cancel our reservation even though it was well within the dates for cancellation. They absolutely would not honor their own stated policy. Avoid!

This was FABULOUS!! Every amenity you could possibly want in the “excellent” room. Will stay here every time we find ourselves in the area. Don’t know how it could’ve been better!!
4.7
Hotel was lovely - a bit of a shame when we went to arrive to park that there was no parking available at the hotel as this had been changed to an area for Cheltenham Festival, however, we stayed after the festival had finished & were not told - a bit of a shame as the website advertises car charging available! We were given on street parking, but roads were quite busy - so a 5 min walk to the hotel & then was suprised to find I was charged £6 for parking the next day, despite the walk!
When we checked in at the hotel - we were given the option to add breakfast on for an additional £7.50, which I did... however when we got there the lady said she couldn't see it on the account so did say it would be £16.50 per person to add on, which was a lot more than what hotels.com quoted!
Finally - our room was beautiful, but the toilet had an issue which meant it was continuously flushing! We did report it downstairs & they upgraded us & moved us to a lovely room quickly! Hotel is really nice & was a lovely stay!

The room was beautiful and the bar area etc also beautifully done. Really enjoyed our stay

Great stay in a beautiful hotel. Lovely room and very helpful staff.

Lovel small hotel. Friendly staff. Gorgeous room for a reasonable price.
Small car park but you can park in any of the nearby streets and then for £6 they issue you a virtual permit.
Recommended.

This hotel is very plush and well decorated to the highest standard! It’s exactly what they say, a home from a home. We came for our anniversary and booked the premium double room with the freestanding bath being in the bedroom, they decorated it with balloons and a card to congratulate us which made it extra special. The toiletries smell amazing and comes with all sorts - bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, vanity kit, flannels, shower cap, as well as very comfy bathrobes; not the itchy kind you get at other hotels. The bed was a super king with amazing and comfy pillows and bedding. The smart TV in the room topped it off too! The hotel itself is in a very convenient location with the centre being only a 10 minute walk away straight down the main road. We’re thoroughly looking forward to visiting again in April for my Birthday!!!

This is such a lovely boutique style hotel with the most amazing staff ready to cater to all your needs. We had breakfast and evening meal which were both great quality. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Parking on the road for payment to hotel. Overall great hotel with easy access to Cheltenham.

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely property, fabulous room, great overall experience
4.7
Really great location close to central Cheltenham, lovely building,
Spacious double shower and lovely room however the heat was unbearable and the radiators weren’t on. It was room 4, there was a fan in the room so we assumed heat must be an issue, so made it a bit uncomfortable.
Otherwise lovely stay and hotel
