Beautiful and one of our favorite hotels we've ever experienced.
4.5
This hotel was well located, easily walkable to many places. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a historic building and along with that comes quirks. If you are looking for quaint and charming, I think you’ll be very pleased. If you want modern amenities including an elevator, maybe consider another property. I don’t regret staying here, I just don’t know that it’s my cup of tea.

Great location and beautiful facility.

Location was in a nice quiet neighborhood. The staff were friendly and able to check us in earlier then the check in time. The room was nice and one negative was there was no ac but a fan. It was quite hot even with the small fan and windows opened. Room smelled a bit musty, otherwise everything else was good.

Amazing stay. Staff was wonderful. Room was very clean

Stunning hotel in a beautiful part of the city.
Gorgeous cosy rooms, and super helpful and kind front of house staff.

We loved the hotel. Beautiful hotel right between two parks. Lovely patio and courtyard. Felt very safe. Friendly and helpful staff.

Tasteful boutique hotel in central Dublin.
Very friendly staff

Lovely boutique hotel, within walking distance of Grafton Street for shopping, dining, drinking and main transport links. Lovely staff, very accommodating, couldn’t do enough. Felt very safe as a female, solo traveller and the cosy single room had everything needed so a solo city break.

Great location and nice place to stay.

Where do I start? This was my first trip to Europe and this was the most wonderful hotel we stayed in on our 8 day trip in multiple cities. It is so charming and beautiful! Our room was so nice and our patio was just the perfect view of the courtyard. I didn't realize until after we left, but if you walk through the gate in the courtyard you discover a beautiful park! I will definitely be staying here on my next trip. I can't wait to return!

Prime property, very beautiful, but i had a room facing the road, very loud; you should ask for a room towards the back

Great help from the Concierge Zac in sorting our car parking. Comfort of rooms and surroundings fantastic. One disadvantage no lift for stairs.
4.5
Beautiful historic hotel, across from a wonderful park, with great service, in an excellent location for walking to major sites, shopping and pubs. Top notch breakfast. Small bathrooms but beautifully decorated rooms, and a lush garden.

Nice property. Great location. But FYI, no A/C or lift/elevator

The hotel boasts a beautiful facade and an enviable location, making it an ideal base for exploring the city.
Upon booking two standard rooms for over €450 (mid-week), we were initially delighted with our accommodations on the ground floor. The rooms featured spacious bathrooms and lovely terraces with direct access to the hotel’s charming garden, which was a delightful surprise.
However, our satisfaction was short-lived when, after a day of wandering through Dublin, my partner and I discovered that our room had no hot water. Despite making four calls to reception, it took some time before a solution was offered. We were eventually relocated to another room on the third floor. While this room did have hot water, it was smaller, less appealing, and had a noticeable odor—a stark contrast to our initial rooms.
At checkout, we conveyed our dissatisfaction with the experience, hoping for some form of compensation or gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, all we received was an apology, which, while polite, did not quite make up for the inconvenience we faced.
In summary, while the Staunton on the Green has much to offer in terms of location and initial room quality, our experience was marred by the hot water issue and the subsequent handling of our complaint. For the price paid, one would expect all aspects of the stay to be seamless, or at least for the hotel to offer more than just an apology when they fall short.

Love this property. Staff were amazing and hospitable and the breakfast was brilliant.

Beautiful old hotel that is well maintained. Excellent service from everyone we met. Convenient to many pubs, restaurants, shopping and sights. Will stay next time we are in Dublin.

Our stay was lovely, great location and the room had all the modern amenities you’d need in a timeless fashion.

Great location- comfy beds!

Our room was clean and well appointed, but it was a steam room. The radiator pumped hot air in this tiny room. We called reception and a person came up. He said he turned it off. I asked if we could open window. He said they were skylights and did not open. We went out to dinner, thinking it would be ok when we because he’d turned off radiator. When we returned it was boiling in the room. We called reception. They sent someone up. He said the previous person had turned it higher not off. He turned it off. He also opened window which previous person said it did not open. No one apologized throughout the issue. It took until morning to cool down. No compensation or apology for a miserable night in a quite expensive hot box.

We had such a wonderful stay, starting with the amazing welcome staff to the radio playing softly as we entered our room. The room was beautiful and the breakfast was one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time.

Wonderful inn with a pretty garden in a great location in Dublin across the road from St. Steven's Green. Great staff. Definitely would stay again. Thank you!

This is the perfect location to stay when visiting Dublin and planning to explore the area on foot. Take a thirty min minute ride by eir coach from the airport to the Lower Leeson Street stop and then it’s a 3-5minute walk from there. Inside is so quaint -an old Georgian building overlooking Iveagh Gardens. It’s such a warm and inviting place with comfortable rooms with good breakfast options being offered. The only drawback we experienced was our shower overflowed on to the bathroom floor during our stay. Overall, very friendly staff and a wonderful place to stay in Dublin.

The room was very spacious. Unfortunately, the bathroom was on the small side.

Perfect location for my needs and very cosy hotel.

Excellent property in a prime location for anyone wanting to explore Dublin’s city centre and beyond. Staff were attentive and kind - and we even had our bags taken to our room upon arrival by a very friendly member of staff.
The room was beautiful, with a window overlooking a private garden allowing guests to feel very relaxed indeed. The staff left us a note to thank us for choosing Staunton’s along with a selection of delicious Irish chocolates, which I thought was a wonderful touch!
Bed was super comfortable and the only (ever so slight) thing I could find to fault with the room was that it became quite warm in the middle of the night. I’m guessing the heating switched on but I was able to use the small fan provided to cool down the room but just an fyi to anyone to check what temp the radiators are on before you go to sleep (I did not do this)!
Huge thanks to the team at Staunton’s for a delightful stay, we’ll definitely be staying with you again during our next visit.

A sweet hotel near the Museum of literature and backing on green space, so very quiet. The decoration features period prints and the staff is genuine and helpful.

Very nice old school hotel, convenient to the city centre, room was to the front of the hotel, but not noisy. Comfortable room and lovely staff.

A lovely warm, welcoming hotel in a Georgian House. Opposite Stephens Green and a few minutes walk from Grafton Street, Dawson Street.
Great rooms, showers.
We frequently return, and will definitely do so again.

A wonderful venue for an overnight in Dublin - so different to many of the modern hotels. Beautifully presented, with a lovely air of old world elegance which was a joy. Breakfast was superb. Thoughtful touches in the bedroom and throughout the hotel to add to the comfort and enjoyment of the guests.

I checked in late and left early but the staff was very nice and helpful. My room was very clean and well appointed. If I am ever in Dublin again, I might stay there.

The staff was wonderful throughout our stay and very helpful with suggestions in what to do in the area. The room was clean and very cozy. We will definitely be staying there again on our next visit!

V well priced, v central, lovely staff, lovely building, highly recommend

I liked that the property overlooks a park and also backs onto another park. The hotel was central to everything. Dining and shopping, very close by.
I feel that the owners of this hotel should consider removing the carpet at some point. It’s unhygienic. Secondly, I found it odd that the trees in the back were lit for most of the night. Too bright for sleeping and it also contributes to light pollution.
