The receptionists were very helpful, got me into a smoke-free room at the same price, even though it was supposed to cost more. And I forgot my chargers at the hotel at checkout day, and I cam back at 11:30 and the lady had them for me at the desk! And a side note, the bathrooms are quite clean for a sketchy looking hotel!

Plane flights were delayed 3 hours got checked in about midnight, took a terrific shower under the rain drop head to relax and went directly to bed afterwards. I fell right to sleep.

Very clean, front desk people, 2, not very friendly.

My only complaint is... Hot water in sink worked, but in shower it never got hot...

Love the architecture of this old motel love the colors they painted it on the outside would stay there again brand new updated bathroom and wood beam ceilings room was very large

The interior of the rooms is much nicer than the 1960s motel look of the exterior. It is quite clean, although we did encounter 1 cockroach in the bathroom one night.
The staff is polite and the location is very near the Capitol, downtown, and not far from the universities.

Good staff.. No dislikes

I cancelled and went somewhere else. As soon as I got there rats were in the parking lot

Positive experience. Renovated and very clean rooms. Good value for money. Will visit here in the future too.

A few really good restaurants were close to the hotel. Easy to get to from the airport and universities.

Love this retro vibe of this hotel. Retro and yet nicely updated with nice clean bathroom. Close to State Capitol and fun restaurants

It’s not fancy, but the overall price-value was surprisingly good! Clean and newly remodeled bathrooms, proximity to FSU, and midsize fridge were the most impressive for such a reasonable price.

You cant beat this price. The room is big and just has that old time nastlga feel when you go into the room with wood ceilings and a updated bathroom. Rooms were very quite and you park right in front of your room unless you are on the second floor.

Don't be fooled by the detective movie exterior, this is actually fairly excellent for the price. Quiet (despite being near a big road), big, comfortable bed, friendly enough, AC works well, hot, powerful shower, decently clean.
This will please you if you're looking for a budget night (or even two) visiting briefly or traveling through town and you don't mind things being a little bit scuffed and run down here and there. Probably not so great if you're looking to wow your other half with a romantic getaway or are expecting luxury or chain hotel levels of polish. Rooms aren't that big and are fairly dark but then you're not going to be spending all day in there are you?
Also, there is a large and beautiful park just behind the hotel with a completely gorgeous outdoor public pool which opens at 7am. Seriously - walk 10 mins, pay $4 and your doing lengths in a heated pool with park views.
A few restaurants nearby and more beyond the park which are walkable (seems unusual in a v. unwalkable city). I didn't try to cross the road to the north though and there don't seem to be any crossings so if you don't have a car or nerves of steel you, like me will probably never sample the delights of the Miller's Ale House across the road.

The breakfast is not what you expected.

I stayed on the first floor (or ground floor). The view from the hotel window was a small hill with dirty water flooding on the bottom of the hill. The room was dark.. very dark.. it did not have coffee maker, and when I asked, the man in the charge said that some room has and some room doesn.. ha!? But they gave me one, anyway. Do not stay on the first floor. Second floor is better. The one signle bed room has a small sink in the bathroom which does not have enough room to put your toiletrery and tooth brush and etc. The coffee at breakfast was awful. They did not simply put enough groudner coffee but a lot of water. I am not recommneding to stay here if you want to enjoy beautiful town.

The walls are so thin, you can hear your neighbors conversations and hear them use the bathroom.

I liked: the lady who checked us in and the gentleman who checked us out were both very cordial and helpful. These were the only staff we met. The bathroom in our unit was quite nice.
I didn't like: the choice for the complimentary breakfast was poor and there was no place to sit and eat it. No decaf coffee available.

Good for an overnight stay. Advertised continental breakfast, I don’t call coffee and bagel as acceptable for breakfast no other beverage. It is good for a close visit to capital you could walk there.

Quick check in, clean rooms could use a little deep clean in bath area. Some remodel going on but very, quiet stay, no issues checking in or out and very convenient to food and shopping.

For the price I paid, I have no complaints.

The breakfast area consisted of a coffee pot and a couple kinds of pastries. I took a picture of their laundry area . Yes it was outside. My price was supposed to be $69 plus tax for 2 nights. It cost me $284

Older hotel in a convenient location. Room was spacious and very clean. The bed was firmer than my liking, but in excellent condition. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of. It was a FSU game weekend, we paid a premium on the rooms, so the value wasn’t there, but that’s capitalism.

The hotel looks pretty sad from the outside. Exterior lights blinking, no windows on the entry side of the units. The units however are very nice the bathrooms are updated and the beds are comfortable albiet small.

The towels were terrible. The lighting was terrible. We couldnt find anyone to check us in. There was no shampoo.

I am still recovering from being totally ravaged by bedbugs! I have never been so miserable in my life! In one night I was bitten all over my torso and arms! Have never experience anything like that it was completely awful
Do not sleep in room 135 bed by the window or you will be eaten alive

Property owners was very helpful.

The front desk associate was very helpful and courteous. We had some paint peeling in our room which we notified the front desk to make sure we weren’t charged for damages and no problems there. Unfortunately, the sheets on one bed had a small stain, but overall pretty clean and served it’s purpose.

Dimly lit, musty smell, dirty, old toiletries, only the one mirror in the bathroom made it challenging to have both of us get ready. The gentleman at the counter was helpful when the toilet overflowed. Plus, it is close to downtown. Needs updating.

Ok as last resort for FSU game, but no one would stay if better choice available. Pricing about 5x what it should be. Good location but owner does not want to invest above that. Property has seen better days. AC did not work. External property lights blinking. Clean enough but not outstanding.

It's an old property, but has been updated. It had a rain shower head which you usually don't see. It had a microwave and a frig which sometimes you don't have in Marriott or Hilton properties in Tallahassee. Price was excellent. Location is central.

Pulling into parking lot was terrible on both ends

The gentleman that checked us in was the owner. He was very nice and supplied whatever we needed. It was very dirty on the outside some what nasty looking. The recliner and desk chair was in very bad shape. So bad that we did not even sit in the chairs neither one of them! Wood furniture was fine but the walls were a mess big places and not painted. Just looked bad. The bathroom was great. It had been newly remodeled. The bed was OK but the linens on the bed were absolutely nasty discolored, dirty looking. I’m just thankful I had something with me that checked for bedbugs. I’m sorry but would not recommend this motel.

Outside looks a little rough, but the room was recently re-done and it was nice and clean. Lady that checked us in was very nice. It’s not fancy, but had what we needed.

The room was clean, my only positive statement. Nothing t o offer at the location.
