The hotel was amazing the architecture and grounds are simply wonderful! Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom and the food and restaurant, bars and lobby were all great!
Unfortunately the room was very hot and it was difficult to sleep and the pool was very disappointing! The pool area really needs a clean and upgrade there a lot of hair in the pool and the floors in the poolside changing rooms were very dirty!
However overall we would still return to this hotel but just not use the pool!

The room was beautiful, clean, tidy and comfortable.
The Peacock Restaurant was awful, both the food and service were atrocious.
We were ignored by staff on multiple occasions. Whether that be in the bar or the restaurant.
The he golf course lovely but challenging the golf shop were helpful and accommodating.
Would not visit again.

Great place with such lovely and helpful staff

Staff very friendly and the lodge I stayed in was immaculately clean and well appointed with crockery, cutlery and kitchenware. Sadly the pool wasn't available either day of our stay which was disappointing as it looked so nice on the website and was the real reason we booked. The staff didn't seem very surprised which made me wonder how often it is open.

The room had no wardrobe or draws to put stuff away. The breakfast was awful. Friendly staff but lacking in experience. Poorly managed.

Lovely place to stay

The property needs some serious modernisation and renovation. It has a lot of potentials but, sadly, the property is not really looked after and it is only going to get worse. Unclean condition, unfriendly staff, limited breakfast option (but they still charge £17.50 for an adult). I would never go back to this disgusting place again.

Room was amazing - one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Shame about the food - evening meal average at best and cold. Buffet English breakfast was stone cold and soggy - inedible. I’d recommend a stay but go out to eat and have a lie in instead of breakfast.

Checking in was told where room was and breakfast times. No mention of services and facilities and how to book things like the pool let alone where they are.
Room was basic no dressing table or safe despite the amenities stating so when booking. No bathrobes in the room and reception desk was mostly unmanned.
The room had cobwebs around the windows and parts of the internal walls. Room cleaning was minimal with little evidence of bedsheets being turned over. Drinking glasses and water replacement was inconsistent with bath towels inconsistently replaced where we had one bath towel and multiple hand towels provided as a substitute despite two of us staying.
Seeing the housekeeping team sprawled on the steps relaxing indicating the level of the housekeeping service.
The breakfast was disappointing as the tea came late on two occasions after reminders for it. Vegetarian options was available but when requested for omelettes was told they don’t do them or unavailable despite other guests being offered and getting them after us.
Overall, was disappointed with the experience and the service received.

This may have been 4 star once but it definitely isnt now. We stayed in a cabin and it was filthy. The floor clearly hasnt been mopped in ages. Dont remove your shoes in white socks!! The sofa had god only knows what white stains on and nearly all of the sheets were marked. Human hair in one bed. The fridge also had a big mouldy smear of something in it and in the wardrobe has never even seen a hover. Anyway, pictures tell a thousand words. It didnt get any better at breakfast. The seats are in a disgusting state and i really wasnt happy about sitting on them. The two members of staff were clearly struggling to accommodate the handful of guests down for breakfast and most of the food was running out and not being replaced. Not good enough considering the extra cost. I stay in hotels all over the country every week and this is definitely one of the dirtiest ive stayed in. I would not go back. The staff were well mannered in general. Its a shame because the place is lovely and could be amazing, but it needs some money spending on it. Start with cleaners!

All the staff are lovely and very hospitable . The room were clean, gorgeous, and comfortable and the bar and the restaurant are also in very nice atmosphere. Absolutely highly recommend!

This is a Mansion hotel at a golf course. The deluxe room was large but lacks any wow factor. The room was dated. I thought the price was high for what it was
3.0
Wonderful room although surprised not to have aircon for this price point.
Check out at 10am is noticeably different to other hotels like this and the breakfast only comes with a small tea plate which is annoying for a hotel with this potential at this price point

We stayed in a lodge, it was clean and spacious but not luxurious, lightbulbs in the bathrooms not working and a general slightly tired feel, not worth £279 per night on the weekend.

Historical, spacious room, wonderful garden and yard.

We thought the hotel was amazing- one of the most welcoming and relaxing places we have stayed! The historic building was beautiful and the lobby, enchanting- like going into a National Trust property.
Our room was gorgeous- dual aspect with views of the garden. Our queen sized bed was so comfortable and the linens, high quality- even our son’s sofa bed was comfortable and nicely made up (not like in other hotels where he usually has to put up with a grim bed).
The decor looked fresh and the carpets were new.
We had dinner on the evening which was great- good choices and good standard.
We liked the atmosphere in the hotel the most as the staff were helpful and welcoming. They let us park right outside the door, they brought us a simple breakfast and a jug of milk in the morning as we had to check out before 8am.
The place wasn’t the ‘poshest’ or massively salubrious but we felt it was homely, had interesting history and had character. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We stayed in the Accesible Lodge (Number 6) as our daughter is disabled. Great space and layout. I did suggest to the hotel, as we left, it would be good if the bathrooms could have a really good spruce up due to the mould and drain smells which were rather unpleasant. It would benefit the next visitors!
They also need to fix some light switches that don't work around the lodge. A few handles were loose too. It just needs a full inspection by a handy person.
Other than this space worked for us and it's in a good location!

Stunning place! Exceptionally friendly staff members, beautiful decor (our room especially - wow!) and lovely grounds.

Very relaxing, welcoming & beautiful place. Our grandson loved it as it was his first visit to the place, being seven years old he made sure not to miss anything taking photos.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The bedrooms are spacious and clean with very well designed interior.
The restaurant l would never use again !
Expensive, very poor quality food and the service was very terrible.

The restaurant was terrible, waited two hours for the main course. Then we waited an hour for dessert, all four desserts were different from what was ordered. There was even a desert not available, so they just gave two large plates of ice cream to my 4-year-old daughter.

What a Room! This hotel was amazing

Hotel and staff were great, the bar staff could not of been more helpful. We stayed in one of the lodges as there was six of us, there was plenty of room for us all, the lodge was clean and tidy, the only thing I would say about the lodge is that they could do with a refurb, it was a little tatty in places, but apart from that our stay was great, the main hotel is lovely we ate one night in the bar the food was good.

Had such a lovely evening, would highly recommend

Wonderful building with gorgeous woodwork and amazing ceilings. Breakfast was very good, but dinner not so good. I ordered the steak and it arrived as a dry grey slab lacking flavor.
Other than this the Team was great and we were well looked after. Also enjoyed strolling the grounds.

Clean convenient rooms. Wonderful helpful staff. Beautiful property.

Beautiful family room which was huge annd had everything we needed. Everyone was welcoming and we received amazing service by the front desk staff.
Pool was clean and nicely warm. Lovely trail for little ones to follow around grounds.
Breakfast was simple - would be great to add some fresh fruit and yogurt options to go with buffet.
Would definitely stay again.

AH-MAZ-ZING!!!! So romantic. We stayed in the Kitchener Suite and it is breathtakingly beautiful. I felt like royalty, for sure.

The room was decadent, stately and incredibly clean. It was like walking back in time. We loved the garden and grounds. We only wish there was less golf and more woodland trails. The staff were wonderful and full of great stories. We will return one day.

Amazing stunning hotel with very comfortable lodge. Well equipped, very comfortable, clean and top service.

Lovely property - new and refurbished rooms.
Staff were nice and friendly and really loved the grounds. I love that you can go and play a game of snooker or use the table tennis/ tennis court facilities etc.
Its also a very easy drive into Canterbury - approx 15 mins.
Only negatives which makes it lose a star is that breakfast was poor and a gym that is seriously outdated/ small. Small attention to details missing in the refurbed rooms when you enter the property the doors are left open so when you want to relax and have a drink it does feel cold.
the positives far out weight the negatives and for a comfortable, quality nights sleep I would recommend this place.

We stayed at the Broome Park Hotel for a couple of nights and enjoyed it very much. The staff at reception were very good but there seemed to be a lack of staff in the dining/bar area which meant that the bar was quite often unmanned for long periods of time. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms on the second floor, unless you are pretty fit ask for a room on the first floor as the stairs to the upper floor was very daunting as they were so steep. It was a lovely room with amazing views, there were a few things that needed finishing but it didn’t impact our stay a great deal.

POOL CLOSED BUT NO DISCOUNT ON BILL. NO FRIDGE IN ROOM. "SUITE" WAS JUST A DOUBLE ROOM WITH 2 CHAIRS.
NO STORAGE FOR CLOTHES EXCEPT WARDROBE. ONLY 1 SHELF IN BATHROOM
WC 3INCHES FROM THE WALL

The hotel and grounds are beautiful, I think our room had recently been refurbished. Our room was near the top of the house, and just a word of warning, if you are less mobile there is no lift. However it wasn't an issue for us. Whilst the restaurant menu promises a lot the actual quality wasn't great. The staff were very friendly and attentive and I could imagine having a great chat with them if we had more time

Historical touch was lovely, the room was big and well equipped.
Very little activities for kids.
The area around the property was left messy following the wedding reception.

Stayed for 2 nights for a nearby family wedding. What a lovely place, our room was enormous with a very comfortable bed. A great place to stay for a relaxing getaway.

An idealic stay close to Lydden Race Circuit for me & my son in a twin room. Beautiful room, infact, more a bedsit studio aptmt which was unexpected. Lovely views of the Kent countryside, also lovely & quiet. Parked right outside the entrance to the hotel too & loved the complimentary touches in the room incl choc chip cookies. All very nice.
