You should have an ice machine so when peoples ice makers in their rooms don't work, they can have some ice. Also, no forks for the breakfast makes it pretty rough to eat anything but cereal. Shower and Sink in the bathroom have no water pressure. Which makes it hard to take a shower or even wash your face. Brushing your teeth, you might as well use the tub since it was the only place that had any pressure in the bathroom.

Its was great, the clerk was great, she was very helpful. The room was perfect for the price. Plenty of choices to eat and shop.

Room was awesome for a large family. Condition of the room wasn't awful but could use a little better cleaning. Shower didn't have very hot water. Staff friendliness could use some work. Don't be late to breakfast, she takes it down at a little after 9 and will not refill things. Hot tub was broken. For the price I paid this place could have been better with more to offer.

I am extremely disappointed in the hospitality from start to finish. EBONY at the front desk was incredibly rude. When I walked up to the counter there was a group in-front of me and a group behind me I have no problem waiting my turn. Ebony was extremely nice to the family in front of me explaining all of the times for the pool and breakfast and directing them to their rooms. When it was my turn there was another lady who seemed like she was in training who asked me my name and that was all. I was never asked to show my ID or even a credit card for payment. She handed me my one card and Ebony whispers to her she only getting one in which I didn’t say anything because I know I could make it work. After handing me my card neither said anything to me explaining where my room was where breakfast or the pool was NOTHING she starts yelling at the family behind me to help them with whatever they needed. I stood there maybe a minute in shock mainly because they didn’t ask for my ID or credit card and then eventually I asked was I finished and she said yea your good so I walked off because I didn’t want my stay to be any worse. Well today comes for check out and my itinerary from Expedia states check out at noon which I agree is odd but about 10:45 I got a knock at the door with a rude guy asking about us checking out I told him what my itinerary said about noon and he stormed off. So we quickly packed up to leave. When my husband was loading the car he could hear the people at the

Great place to stay. Suites were very clean and home like experience.

We were on our way home from St. Louis and needed a hotel with an ev charger. Booking and check in went smoothly. Our car charged at the ChargePoint Charger outside for $11.05 overnight. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was really good with many dairy-free options.

Very comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good, as well. Definitely recommend.

Lady at front desk was rude like i was a tresspasser.

I totally understand that rooms purchased thru travel sites are generally lower-quality rooms. However, rooms purchased on these sites should be clean and useable. It was obvious when we arrived at our room that it hadn't been attended to in quite a while...layer of dust on the table surfaces, tv, etc. The bathroom wall by the shower was filthy. And, the couch cushions smelled very distinctly and strongly of urine. The poor housekeeping items I could deal with - like I said, I know the rooms are undesireables. However, the urine-smelling couch cushions were unacceptable. I did ask the front desk for fresh cushion covers and was told that there were none on hand but that a note would be made for our room for housekeeping to attend to that issue the next morning. We were there 3 days, and no one ever updated us on the status of our couch covers; so, we were unable to use the couch for our entire stay. Additionally, our stay included a Sunday - breakfast is until 10:30am that day. We arrived at the dining area at 10:05am, and most items at the hot counter were empty. The kitchen help informed us that there were not bringing out anything else hot but offered to add hot water to the empty gravy container to see if they could muster up enough to cover a biscuit. At checkout, I was informed that they just "got so busy" and were "short staffed" so things got overlooked. You're a hotel - it was spring break - don't you expect to be busy? Don't give excuses. Do better.

Noisy guests past 3 am and we complained many times throughout the night. The staff didn’t do anything to help.

Excellent amenities, very clean, nice staff, great breakfast and nice space. Would absolutely stay again!

Not enough parking
We had to park in the street

All the staff were very nice, and helpful. Breakfast was really good. We didn’t have breakfast anywhere else except the last day we were there.

The elevator was out of service we had to cary our luggage up the steps . It was a chair in the room with metal shard sticking out of had to put a sheet over to keep it from tearing our clothes and scratching us. Also bathroom wasn’t that clean had rusty hinges on the door and where the shower curtains was it was a lot of calcium and rust. We complained about the dog hair in the room . And the room had a bad smell. And the service was terrible we could not enjoy ourself we could not have a normal conversation without the neighbors next to us that we were talking to loud . We spent a lot of money on that hotel to be told at 6 pm that we were talking to loud.. this is the worse experience of a hotel that I’ve ever had

Good but pool was closed and it didn’t state that in the website (seasonal should have been mentioned). Otherwise great!

I made my reservations 10 days in advance. I travel 100 days per year for 3 decades. Im notvan amateur. We arrived at 2 am after coming from Notre Dane football. We arrived to find out they rerented our room at 2.5 times the price due to chiefs game and a concert. We were stranded nothing for miles and were left slepping 4 people in a car.
This is THE WORST travel incident I have ever had. PLEASE do not staybhere as this us in my opinion the lowest most dangerous thing i have ever have happen to me in 40 years of travel. This is the lowest thing a hotel mgmt can do to a traveler. Literally left us to drive an hour away or more or sleep in our car. Both are bad dangerous options at 2 am.

I had requested (when I made my reservation) for a room as near to the entrance as possible due to the fact that my husband has trouble walking too far. Then @ 2-3 weeks before our reservation, I called Staybridge and made the same request. When I checked-in on Sept.2, the paper work stated my request but we were given a room on the 2nd floor as far from the elevator as possible. When I inquired about it the next morning I was told that the hotel was sold out and that was the only room that was available. I made my reservation on July 28th and thought I had given enough time to have priority with my room. We were offered another room later on Sept 3 on the first floor but had already unpacked and gotten settled so we decided to just stay in room 211. I don't know at this time if we will return to Staybridge on our next visit to Independence. Thank You so much

The living room chair has a piece of metal hanging out. The tub faucet was broke and the parking was problematic because of construction.

I found many of the staff very accommodating. Ron in the kitchen area was very helpful.
The hotel overall needs some attention with aesthetics. Carpets and walls looked tired and worn along the edges, if you will.
Liked the Dove products in the bathroom/shower. The room itself was large and accommodating. Need a tray in the room to help transport food/drinks if not eating in the dining area.
Breakfast had a lot to be desired. Expand options, like adding bacon and better fruit, such as bananas. The third floor had an odor that made it smell soured in parts of it. It was located near the middle of the hallway and near the elevator. It did not affect my location.
Location was fine. It was 10-15 minutes from our destination and about 15-20 minutes from the Plaza.
My experience so far is hotels not of the flagship, Marriott, are not as tended to or held to the same level of excellence.

The hotel was really nice but our main concerns were that the hot tub outside was never stated that it didn’t work. Which was something we looked forward too. The hotel night staff lady was not very nice. She just seems so irritated that anyone was asking her any questions. The eye roll and attitude was just not needed after spending over 400$ to say for the weekend. For our first time in KC. The garden area was very relaxing and nice at night. We liked that our room had a mini kitchen which was very convenient. The room was very clean the bed was comfortable. I definitely suggest pricing the pantry so you don’t have to bother the night lady for the price of things. Also, not sure why but the phones in our room, the cords that connect the phone to the base were broken and would fall right out. Kansas City is beautiful and we will be back this hotel was clean and that was much appreciated.
4.1
The room was dirty. There was candy by the bed that were visible enough for someone to pick up. The flooor in the room was dirty. Fire alarms went off after we checked in and already in thrown . And again at around 3 am. The pool are looked dirty. There was a tarp halfway out of the hot tub. The reviews I read made it seem to be an amazing place to stay at but it was not!
4.1
Staffing was an issue and checkin took a very long time due to a large line. I believe an employee called out. As soon as the replacement came in he was very efficient and nice.

Stayed here for a few nights with the family. The staff checked in with us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Suite was clean and stocked well. They provided Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. This was nice because I packed 2 bottles of conditioner. Kitchenette had dishes and dishwasher! They had complimentary dinner, drinks and alcoholic beverages the first night. The pool was decent. The only thing that I was disappointed about was that the hot tub was closed down. My 6-yr-old was looking forward to it. I would definitely stay here again.

My stay on the 24th resulted in a different room from previous dates and ac did not work and never notified about being compt

Overall, ok. Room had hole in ceiling from obvious water leak. Sink leaked underneath. One of the night front desk clerks was a little rude.
4.1
I am really sure where to start with this one. The front desk told me there were no extra pillows because guests steal them. The pull-out couch did not come with linens. There was no extra toilet paper in our room. Only one functional trash can and the bedding was stained. The breakfast was complete inedible, wet and tasteless. I won't be wasting my money at this location again.
4.1
For our stay, the location was convienient and easily accessbile. We also loved have a suite with a seperate living room to have friends over. However, the toilet in our first room clogged every single time, and we had to walk downstairs to get the plunger, plunge in ourselves, then walk the used plunger back downstairs in a walk of shame. This happened 5 times! At one point the maintenance worker came to snake it, which did not help. We requested a room change, which was accomodated, but the stovetop in that room did not work. That was important because the breakfast was the worst! They were out of everything all the time, including basics like silverware and milk. When they had eggs, they were the powdered kind, and was very disappointing. The coffee in the room was good, the coffee downstairs was not. Why was it different? I was also offered IHG points for my frustration, but never received them, nor a recipt as they were too busy when I checked out. We didn't use the pool or outdoor areas, but plenty of people smoking weed did. The smell was always there, even inside. We were there for 7 nights, and next time, I'll choose another hotel.

Nice property. I love that it had the 2br 2 bath rooms for me and my family.

Best place i have ever stayed at

Check in was quick and easy. They were dealing with a difficult customer with checkout and were very apologetic. Room seems clean and spacious. They did miss taking the garbage out from under the kitchen sink and emptying the dishwasher, but we’re just here for the night so we didn’t report it to the front desk. Overall, for a first impression, we’re satisfied with our stay.

Loud neighbors or thin walls. One of the two. Breakfast left much to be desired.
4.1
Staff very nice. They need to check the utensils
in the rooms, only one small spoon, no spatula
otherwise very nice rooms.

Very hospitable staff, especially Ron in the dining area.

Some repairs had been done on the bathroom ceiling that were obvious.

Dirty, smelled funny, no side entrance that was handicap accessible. One coffee cup. Food pantry nearly empty. Not worth the price.
