My check-in was a breeze.... the front desk gentleman that took care of me was very nice, quick and accommodating due to me having a gig to get to quick...! Thank you sir for that and the glass of sparkling wine that was much needed...
This was my second time staying at Del Marcos Hotel and just so happened I got the same suite as the first time. My first reaction was a little bummed about it because the room last time just didn't seem very clean and where the room is it's kind of set back underneath a staircase which was a little annoying.
This time the room was very clean and fresh feeling. Maybe it's in the air? Also the patio last time kind of also felt a bit under cleaned for my liking when your paying a good amount for a room anywhere.
This time the patio area was clean, lounge bed area was very clean with seemed like new comfy pillows. Fireplace worked this time and bathtub was clean and ready for use.
All and all even for one night, you guys are doing it right!
Hope to see you all again soon
Cheers

An absolute perfect Stay! loved the no kids hotel perfect for a quiet getaway. The restaurant and barn next-door were perfect and beautiful delicious and the staff was very kind. I scored the room with the outdoor bathtub and it was perfect perfection

Pool was nice. No hot tub. Room was dated and needed upgrading ie sink wobbled as had been separated from wall. Bathroom was tiny. Had to angle and close door to use toilet. Light from pool could not be blocked out. Road noise also problem. Will not stay here again.

It was a stop over on drive to SLO. It was better than expected. I enjoyed the space and only heard one or 2 cars at night. Walls were pretty insulated.

The room was cute but very small. The bathroom was tiny. Everything was very clean. There was a sign at the front desk redirecting any inquiries, including check in, to the sister hotel , right next door, La Serena Villas. The attendant was excellent, very nice, friendly ; Our Tv in. the room didnt work and this person came to our room and solved the problem.

Cody’s 1947 structure is beautiful & magnificent. That’s the ONLY good thing that can be said for this pathetic excuse of a business that is in the “service”industry.
Nothing could possibly recommend staying here. We watched guests walk out after 30 minutes at the property. We should have too.
No one at the front desk to greet or check us in
Small poorly maintained room.
“Breakfast” was inedible. Old food recycled day after day.
The property was dirty.
We requested that our room be serviced. It was never done.
The white towels were grey, threadbare & torn.
Towels were in short supply at the pool.
The TV in the room did not work.
The table lamp needed a be light bulb but at 8pm the front desk told me that we’d have to deal with it until 10 am the next day as there was nothing they could do.
This hotel came very close to ruining a significant celebratory trip.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY ONE STAY HERE.
Cody would be angry & disappointed by what the owners are doing to guests using his name to lure them into staying.
Shame on all involved.

Great location, walkable to all the best downtown PS places. Hotel is full of character and beautiful if MCM architecture is your thing. Cool history. It’s old, but nice enough, not for everyone, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Terrible value. We payed over xxxx a night (including a resort fee) and the place was not really a proper hotel. No front desk at all. You have to check in at the neighbouring hotel. The hotel is a mid century modern masterpiece, but is being allowed to fall apart. Our room had plaster falling off the wall, broken ikea furniture (in addition to fading mid century modern furniture). The wiring was from the 50’s. The free breakfast was insultingly bad (horrible muffins, yoghurt and oranges which were still frozen from the fridge and horrible coffee) all served with plastic cutlery and disposable plates.
Instant coffee only in the rooms which I have never seen in North America.
Room service and the front desk staff (at the neighbouring hotel) were very nice.
The pool was only cleaned on one day we were there.
For your resort fee you get access to frankly dangerous bicycles with back pedal breaks and sticky handle bars.
There was a nod to happy hour on one day when Jose gave us white wine sangria in a plastic cup but that only happened one day out of 4. There were rarely enough towels by the pool.
The building is beautiful and classic but room rates are luxury levels and clearly the management are just milking architecture junkies to stay in a place which is falling apart. And really that breakfast! Pathetic.

Pleasant and quiet but I would love to stay at their sister hotel la serena

Older building, but kept up very well! Very clean, extremely quiet. So close to walk to downtown shopping and fun! Great for couples who want to enjoy a fun weekend together : )

We really enjoyed our stay. This property epitomizes everything that is cool and retro about Palm Springs.

This place has so much character. Well maintained and great location. Will be back.

This hotel could be wonderfully transformed into what it is supposed to be. The photographs do not adequately show the poor maintenance and repairs in the rooms and surrounding. Our balcony area looked liked it hadnt been cleaned in months. The furniture on balcony was filthy and probably as old as the hotel. There are missing pool tiles and the pool loungers are also ancient and dirty. The supplied towels are also probably as old as the hotel. Threadbare and rough with some actually with holes. Its a great location and would only require minimal restoration to make it a great boutique hotel but it is definitely lacking.

Extremely disappointing. Would not recommend.

Great boutique property, dog friendly, responsive staff.

I was expecting alot more. I might give it another shot in the future. They just need to cleanup the area around. Pool, the complementary water replenish more frequently and have the TVs checked periodically. I was moved rooms and similar tv issues. The host did try to make it good.

No front desk person. They put out 10 beach towels for the day which doesn’t even last until noon. You call for housekeeping and they show up 4 hours later. Check-in took the poor boy 20 minutes with the amount of information their system made them type in. It’s really gone downhill from a service perspective.

Old and ill maintained. No front desk staff.

The location and room design. I found a roach in the room and the toilet was not secured

This hotel is just amazing. The rooms are high and have a little kitchen area as well. I highly recommend it if you’re staying in the area.

Awesome accommodation and pool.

They don’t have rugs to step in. Bathroom or bed. And the patio shower was dirty, and leaves everywhere.

We opted for a brief baby moon getaway this Memorial Day weekend and selected Del Marcos hotel after thorough research. On the website were intrigued by its boutique charm and unique decor. Upon arrival, a friendly host greeted us, but our initial impression was more akin to an upscale motel. Unfortunately, the outdated TV didn't work, leading to a prolonged maintenance ordeal. The pool area had limited lounge chairs, and ordering poolside refreshments or snacks meant contacting the sister hotel, Serena Villas. Despite the website's claim of "handpicked vintage" items, rust marred the toilet paper caddy. Worse, a potentially dangerous electrical issue emerged during my hair drying, which was promptly addressed by my husband, a former firefighter.
When we sought assistance after 5:30 pm, we were directed to Serena Villas, where promises of a room change and complimentary amenities (free breakfast) fell through the next day due to lack of availability. Frustrated and feeling unsafe, we requested to leave, only to receive a partial waiver of resort fee for night one and a refund on the drinks and snacks poolside the day before . Such dismissive treatment, especially in the face of safety concerns, is truly unacceptable. Not to mention the inconvenience of having to pack and leave, where we just wanted to relax for a couple days. These maintenance issues should’ve been addressed before any guests arrived. Especially on a long weekend. A full refund would have been appropriate.

This small boutique hotel has an unbeatable location and the room was unexpectedly large with a kitchenette. The pool crowd was mellow without loud music which was great. Despite the $500/night room rate though, this is definitely a no-frills 3 star hotel. There were not enough lounge chairs at the pool for all the guests. There was pool service on Sat but not on Sun. We had to manually replace the flapper in the toilet tank with every flush. We enjoyed our stay overall, but given the price, this property could use some love.

The location is fantastic and it’s a very nice property.

All of the staff including housekeeping and maintenance were most helpful. A few tips needed for the room using fire pit and bathtub and were given instructions and addressed immediately. The property is a relaxing option while traveling through Palm Springs.
