Lovely little B&B close to the seafront. Stayed here during off season so they arranged to meet me at the B&B for check-in and the communication was excellent. Very friendly staff during check-in and out. Easily walkable to the town and train station

Easy to find from the directions, well placed and enjoyed our stay

There was an awful smell throughout the hotel, like drains or a portaloo. The beds in our room (6) were terribly old and uncomfortable, every time you moved the children woke up as they were so squeaky, the mattresses were discolored and stained.
The bathroom was old and in great need of modernization, the shower didn't work, however the maintenance man sorted it out straight away. We were only provided with one towel each. Toiletries and chocolate was a nice touch. However we would not stay here again. Lovely view and position. Not quite sure why this hotel has 8/10 score. (this is why we booked it) Shame as it could be really nice with some updating and new beds.

Excellent service and very friendly hosts both on the phone and in person. Good sized room, but there were areas where it could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom and carpets.

Lovely clean room and a nice bathroom . Great view of The Leas and sea.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Helpful staff good room, good price, good location.

We stayed here prior to Le shuttle, our room was recently decorated, clean and quiet and at a great price. The staff were helpful polite and cheerful.
We paid an addition £4 for the on-street parking after 8am.
We’d use Westward Ho again

Excellent Budget stopover. Clean, warm & good location for Eurotunnel. Reception member Jay checked us in (we called 20 mins prior to arrival as instructed) & gave us all the relevant info - very friendly & helpful. Dog friendly. We’ll be back 👍

All mostly good could do with a working lift to top floor

Comfortable bed in small room with a great seaside view and a cold breakfast for a very decent price, comparatively. Downside was that the TV didn’t work, veggie options for breakfast were minimal and the building was a bit musty
6.0
Good location and size of room but in poor condition. The communal areas are poor too.
Staff was good but breakfast was more of something very basic and no cooked items.
Could have done the interior properly as they have few many properties and need looking after urgently.

This hotel is located in a beautiful old building on a quiet park-like boulevard that runs along the coast. nice view of the sea from the hotel room. hotel room is clean and spacious. The bed is a bit less comfortable. It is a basic hotel. Don't expect much luxury. Price/quality is very good.

Property was clean and room was comfortable.
Stairs were hard work and parking was limited.
We walked to the town centre , so that we didn't lose our space

Sadly no lock on window and being on the ground floor we were not able to open window due to room smelling very musty because of damp on walls
Bed needs a topper and tightened up
Second bedside lamp needed
Loo made very strange noises
Shower was not clean
Room not clean…
Positive note Night manager Jay was very helpful
Towels were lovely
Breakfast was very good Thank you for GF products

I couldn’t fault the staff. Breakfast was welcoming.
Room was very poor.
Sagging mattress on bed. Plaster found on our bed! Beds need a good clean

Convenient B&B prior to channel crossing. The hosts were friendly and accommodating by allowing us checking in very late by midnight.

We stayed as a family of 4 for a very quick stop before catching an early train. Hotel is clean, family room very large and comfortable beds. Staff were lovely on arrival.

Well loved period property. Fantastic location and walkable to the town centre. Highly recommended and will definitely book again.

Great little b and b with very friendly hosts. This is not a five star hotel, but had loads of lovely touches like tea and coffee, water, chocolates etc. Comfy and very clean, and they allowed us to keep our (clean) bikes in the room for the right before our ferry the next day. Breakfast was lovely, and did exactly what it said on the tin. Quiet area, albeit on a slightly less salubrious end of town - but we walked to and from town with two young children along the sea front for dinner and had no issues at all. Highly recommended.

Excellent Bed an Breakfast, situated beautifully beside the Beach with a stunning view of the Sea.

Was definitely nicer than expected. Ive stayed at much worse hotels. Polite staff, clean room and we slept well. Plenty of tea and coffee facilities. Maybe the beds and mattresses could do with an update, but they were fine overall. We had breakfast delivered to our door in the morning as we were leaving early, good little selection and good quality food, we didnt eat the yoghurt tho as they were warm.

Extraordinary view, awful parking opportunities for bigger cars, garages aren't suitable for SUVs and roof boxes. But nevertheless, short access to promenade and ocean side. Breakfast service was great and the breakfast itself was simple.

Parking was a challenge.

Had a lovely stay and would return as very reasonably priced. Beautiful view from our room too. Only down side is walking up the stairs as no lift.

Ok I'll admit I had extremely low expectations for this place, it was literally half the price of the premier inn and holiday Inn express which I tried to book first but they were full.
So I booked this place fully expecting some terrible experience. I feel ashamed because not only was the staff member who checked us in, lovely, friendly and accommodating the hotel itself was clean, fresh, had lovely big spacious rooms, lovely sea view, fluffy towels with complimentary toiletries, water bottles and coffee/tea making facilities, and abundance of plug sockets including usb charging near the bed.
Shower had good water pressure too, bed was comfy (I would say personally I like a hard mattress) but this was soft. However can't knock them for my personal preference.
I had a decent sleep, other guests were generally quiet, sea gulls can get a little noisy early morning but don't book a hotel by the sea of that sort of thing irritates you.
There was secure garage parking available for a small fee if you have a motorbike it's ideal.
Would definitely stay again.

The staff were helpful and efficient. Room was good 3 star standard. However the slat type bed base needs replacement.

Ok for a one night stay. Mattress could do with being replaced as very uncomfortable. Nice views looking over the Leas.

Lovely place to stay right by the sea.
We visited the White cliffs whilst in area and then departed for France via the Euro tunnel.
The staff here were helpful and friendly and most welcoming.
Would certainly return again in the future.

You get what you pay for I guess!
Tip for the owners - contact the window supplier/fitters and get your money back - the drafts coming through the gaps are unbelievable. However on the plus side, the view from our window was fabulous.

Very friendly staff, beautiful sea view and good location.

Really good seafront location. The property is dated but the room was very clean and a good size. We needed a room for the night as a family and for the price this did the job perfectly.

Beautiful sea view, all the way to France. Wonderful. Smashing for a walk along the front. Friendly and helpful staff. Certainly not the Wow factor but nice and comfortable. Had a great night's sleep too with no light creeping in through the blinds. Would definitely stay again.
5.0
Perfect room for an overnight stay. Easy check in and out. Room clean and comfortable. Great value for money
