Nice hotel, friendly staff, great central location. Only negative was the bed was not that comfortable - it was a bit like sleeping on a water bed

The hotel is beautiful, staff are lovely and friendly, as a coeliac I was really impressed with the gluten free breakfast choices, especially the home made croissants. Our room was lovely, the bathroom was stunning and the shower amazing, the only let down for us was the bed, the mattress was so hard, it was like sleeping on concrete, both my husband and I woke up aching all over.

Really good stay, it’s so close to everything most thing was about a 10 min walk. We mainly came to Cardiff for the Christmas market and was surprised with how close everything was to the hotel. Very clean and quirky rooms, they also offer a room with a view or a quiet room, we chose the one with a view even so you couldn’t hear the noise from the city centre, highly recommend to anyone looking for a city centre hotel! We parked on Richmond road there’s a car park there and it cost us £20 for all 3 days.

This is a truely wonderful find. A lovely comfy hotel with bright friendly staff in the middle of Cardiff. Fantastic warm shower and comfortable bed and pillows. All you could ask for in terms of added provision (iron ironing board hair drier shampoo towels etc). Top rating from me.

Superior accommodation in the centre of Cardiff.
Staff friendly and efficient.
Surprisingly quiet…very welcome.
Have stated before and will stay again.

Very smooth and friendly check in.
Room was clean and very comfortable with complimentary soft and alcoholic drinks to enjoy.
Tried the bar on level 6 and enjoyed pre show cocktails in the smart lounge.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
The stand-out of the hotel as well as the above, is the friendliness of all the staff

Lovely hotel in central location for everything you need! Room was lovely, robes provided which was a nice touch. The only thing I could moan about was how squishy the pillows were, like my head would sink into them they were not supportive at all even with two! But everything else was lovely!

Stay with my daughter, we loved everything. All the staff were so helpful and friendly.

Breakfast staff were amazing with one server actually remembering what we had the previous days. Quite the feat with so many guests staying.
Translation of Welsh on menus needs revising as incorrect.
I'd definitely stay there again as central, clean and great breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Really nice room. Amazing staff and brilliant central location.
Only down side was we didn't have a real window in our room, due to it being an internal one. As it was only for one night this wasn't a huge issue and didn't effect the pleasant atmosphere of the room.
Great breakfast, with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I recently stayed at Hotel Indigo, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel’s design is vibrant and stylish, with each room beautifully decorated.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile - It’s clear they take great pride in creating a welcoming experience for guests. Overall, I’d highly recommend Hotel Indigo for anyone looking for a memorable, high-quality stay with a touch of local charm. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, style, and service, and I’ll definitely be returning!

It was a one night stop on our way from Western Wales to Cornwall and a much needed rest between our destinations. It was a perfect City respite for our road trip :)

We really loved the room and the quirky features. We had a room with miners lamps and other Welsh touches. It was a great size, with a fabulous shower. Bed was super comfy. Will definitely return.
Our room had an obscured window so not sure what we were facing?

Really friendly staff.
Not much natural light in room, as small courtyard facing window, but very comfortable, and no street noise

Firstly, the location is excellent, close to the shops and bars, NCP parking a few minutes walk away, and the castle is just down the road if that's your thing.
Our room was quite large and nicely decorated, clean and quiet. We were given a disability room, so I'm not sure that reflects the rest of the rooms, but it was fine for us.
The bed wasn't great as the mattress seemed a poor quality sprung mattress - there was an annoying squeak even from breathing, so that should be improved, especially for the nightly price bracket being charged.
My biggest gripe was the hotel bar. Although it was a nice place, the prices were a rip off, even for a city centre. Not sure £20 is right for a mediocre cocktail and a lager.
On a positive note to finish, the reception staff were lovely and we were able to check in early which is a bonus. I would stay again, I wouldn't visit the bar and would hope for a more comfortable mattress!

Last minute getaway on a Sunday night. Asked at check in whether we wanted a quiet room or city facing. We mentioned that it was our 4th visit and jokingly said to put us in the best room available. We were pleasantly surprised by the room. No view bit a lovely spacious room, tastefully decorated.

The location is very good. The cleanliness and overall look of the hotel is also very good. The most disappointing thing is that the bed was very soft. New mattresses would greatly improve the stay. Also breakfast was v average. The staff need to write down orders and also the food quality should be improved

Great spot, city centre but quiet at night

It was a clean, friendly hotel located right in the city centre. It was quiet and my wife and I got a good night's sleep. Comfortable, clean bed and a great shower. The only thing wrong was that the bulb had gone on one of the bedside lights but not really a major issue.

Awful stay, the bed was very uncomfortable and couldn’t change rooms. If you like lumpy mattresses stay here. I now need physio

Another repeat visit to this hotel. The staff are fantastic when you check in and out. Very friendly and helpful. Location, rooms, bar and food options all 10/10.
Highly recommend

Staff were kind a helpful, room very cozy, and the surrounding area is great for walking and just soaking up the Cardiff vibes.

The hotel itself is amazing! Staff were incredible. Location is very convenient however I must say I was a little shocked on the cleanliness of the city centre.

Can’t fault our stay from our first greeting to farewell everything was excellent and I’m very fussy ! Room was quirky in a good way very clean bathroom great with huge shower, we were asked if we wanted a quiet room and we never heard a thing even though we were in an arcade in middle of Cardiff. Secure entry and exit to hotel . Beds really comfy, breakfast great , All staff excellent.Would definitely return.

Check in was busy but I wasn’t greeted with a smile or any pleasantries. We arrived 10 mins before booking said we could and were told not all the rooms were ready, because it had been busy the night before, which to be honest wasn’t our problem. Receptionist Clara was undoubtedly stressed and whilst I appreciate that it was a busy changeover time, we felt like we were an inconvenience. Not 100% focussed on our check in and dealing with other clients over us whilst taking payments etc. I had booked 3 rooms months ago and it was my fault that I had not stipulated we would like rooms close together, we were allocated 3 disabled access rooms in 3 different floors. They were a great spec if you did have disability needs but that meant the bathrooms had low fittings for wheelchair users and far too low for a person standing to use the sink etc. we asked at reception to change rooms but were only able to change one to a standard room. The hotel did give us a discount on the 2 accessible rooms we had to keep but overall felt that we were an in an inconvenience and not valued guests. I don’t usually complain but I was disappointed with our stay to be honest.

A quirky gem - so central, and the reduced 24hr parking cost (£17) using the code on reception worked well. The room was clean and excellent shower. The quirkiness comes from its location in the middle of a shopping arcade (reception) but it’s so central and keenly priced for the quality. Small fridge and canned water supplied free but worth buying a small milk from the nearby Tesco for your tea / coffee (provided) as the plastic milk sachets are pretty meagre. Strongly recommend.

Warm welcome, lovely staff, bar served nice cocktails. Quiet room despite its very central location on Queen's Street.
Few issues with attention to detail - cobwebs in the window, robe had previous guest's makeup on. The mattress was fine for one night but very soft and below par compared to many other hotels these days.
The shower was excellent, and provided toiletries were good but conditioner ran out on first use.

Very nice room with an annexe area so very spacious. Generous complimentary mini bar and comfortable room with very powerful shower.

Staff were very helpful, cheerful & friendly
