Please book somewhere else -The worst choice I have made on Booking .com in a decade

Three helpful staff members ,a lovely chambermaid , late night bar staff and Ollie .

Hapless unguided and unmotivated reception staff and a rude restaurant manager. Drab rooms . The room was very average- NOT A £500 PER NIGHT HOTEL -miles outside the City centre , requiring a £20 taxi in and out on busy event days .

Great hotel with a disappointing bar

Beautiful setting and surroundings, very easy to find with great parking The rooms were stunning and so comfortable The curtains were so thick the room was completely dark all through the night

The cost of the bar, it was actually more expensive than central London 🤯 £5 for a single baileys They also had no bar snacks/crisps etc and a lot of people ended up getting food delivered in late at night

Great location overlooking Cardiff Bay The rooms were very spacious, well decorated and had everything you needed. The food in the restaurant was tasty, with local food The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful

A little bit of luxury on a grey February weekend.

Beautiful and spacious room, modern and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. Beats the city centre hotels!

Crying shame such a lovely building in a fantastic location can not match with high service.

The view. The return of my lost property was quickly resolved. The staff at breakfast tried their best, despite the poor catering levels.

Breakfast was very poor. Ran out of marmalade by 0900 hrs and the choices of cereals was very limited. Scrambled egg was totally dry and unappealing. The receptionist at check was uninspiring.

Nice Country hotel but loud wedding parties

Good location outside of Cardiff but you will need to have a car. Very picturesque views

There are loud wedding parties that go on past until past midnight playing dubstep/techno. We left early after 1 night of poor sleep.

Nice place but definitely not worth a 4-star rating!

The room was very nice an spacious

- The service during dinner and breakfast was simply below average ! Tables were not proper covered (eg no napkins, missing fork,...) it took ages to clear-up between courses; During breakfast, the buffet looked plundered and we had to ask multiple times to replenish (lack of proactiviness); - lightbulb in nightlight was missing - refurbishments in eg entry / reception are required; give a worn impression

A great place to go when you want to treat yourself at a reasonable price.

The hotel is beautiful and has great atmosphere. Our room felt spacious and was very comfortable. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced with fantastic service. The view from the terrace was scenic and relaxing.

We loved the location and the views. The room size is very good with all the facilities we needed.

It was pleasant and suited the purposes but nothing groundbreaking.

The room was superb, though I am told we had one of the best ones. The views over Cardiff are spectacular and the hotel was located well to visit Caerphilly and for our next destination, Cardiff.

Parts of the hotel were a bit 'tired' though we noticed the bar was being refurbished which is needed! Breakfast was a little disappointing, to be honest. Not the worst but by no means one of the better ones.
