Central Location
Even though the host added the car registration to council's portal to allow us to park in certain streets, as the property is on the main road, it is difficult to get parking close to the property as it's mostly full and had to park far and walk back. For someone with a baby, parking far especially at night and having to walk back is not very practical but if you have older kids or fortunate to get parking on the same street, then it is a very central location and you can walk to City Centre, Museum...

The place is a walking distance to the city centre. Besides, the property was clean 👌
I had issues with the washing machine but the maintenance team came in quick to help and paid for my taxi fare to train station.

The hosts were extremely friendly & helpful.
The bathroom was nice & spacious.
The sofa was uncomfortable but you don't go on holiday to sit on the sofa so we didn't use it for long.

The location was awesome, just right to the Cardiff campus and that's what I wanted. Sufficient supply of life essentials, especially the kitchen wares, microwave, fridge, washer, etc. The host was quick and responsive to msgs. The check-in process was smooth.
The rooms are smaller than I expected. The beds/mattresses are quite old and very uncomfortable. I wasn't able to connect to the wifi provided. After I contacted the host I was provided with several additional options but only one worked. The one that was working was not fast either (merely just connected to internet), you can't do those such as video conferencing, streaming, etc. The host did now allow late check-out even with extra pays and no luggage storage service which could create a problem for some international travelers.

The location , comfort and response time by the person in charge
Nothing specific , but since we were at top floor of which was unexpected we had difficulties bringing our luggage up

Close to the city center and supermarket. Also there is park nearby.
It took almost 2 hours to identify the location although I was almost in 10-20min distance since address in booling.com and the physical address was different. In addition host was very unkind with almost no guidance though calling on the phone. I t is close to the city center, however there is zebra crossing just in front of the apartment so it is quite noisy through out until morning.

the location of the property was really good for central cardif and visiting the principality stadium.
I found the communication method via the booking.com site to be poor. It was delayed and held up any fluent communications. We initially liked the apartment and found it of a good standard but the following morning we were disgusted to find cockroach type bugs in the kitchen, they were hiding around the wall covering that joined the worktop.

To give you a better idea of the property, it is a victorian terrace house which has been converted into small apartments for holiday rentals. It seems to have 8 apartments, spread from ground floor to second floor. There is no lift, only a steep staircase. The restoration seems to be recent, although done with basic standards. The owner has given the property to a holiday rental management company; to us, the management people always answered quickly and kindly, and were receptive to our requests/comments. There is no people on site for the check-in/check-out, all is done by email and code.
The flat is conveniently located near the university, in a quiet, safe and pleasant neighbourhood. Easy to walk to the city centre (10min) or Cardiff Central (20min). There is a small train station (Cathays) located nearby and some bus stops too.
Kitchen is basic but has all the necessities, including Nespresso capsules and tea bags and the necessary cleaning products.
Furniture is essential and basic quality. Beds are small (length and width). I am 1.88m and my feet were outside of the bed when laying straight. My wife and I were constantly hitting each other and we are not big. Also the bed base is a wood structure covered with fabric, so not the most comfortable one.
Cleaning (dusting) seemed to be when we checked-in the apartment.
The online pre check-in process was long and tedious. Check out is a bit early (10AM).
At the end, we had a feeling it was more like a dorm than a holiday house. This is not positive or negative but I personally think the property would have a better appeal with young people and students than middle-aged people and over.

Location was convenient for events in the city centre.
Nothing really.

Location was great, hosts were able to answer any questions 24-7. Beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. Value for money was the best we could find on booking.com for two nights away.
Nothing we didnt like. We logged a few maintenance things with the host but had a email straight away to say it would be sorted. Minor things though.

Great location for city centre
We initially struggled to enter the apartment and had to send various calls/texts which went through to someone who couldn’t help either, in the end another guest had to help us! The apartment was FILTHY and everything was sticky to touch. We avoided the kitchen facilities like the plague. Upon entry to the building the corridor had a distinct stench of vomit, which made sense as both nights we stayed the other guests arrived home via taxi in early hours of the morning and continued to party with loud music until 4/5am. There was also a timer on the heating which meant we could never get the place warm, meaning we wore coats inside the building, jumpers to bed.

The flat was clean and in a good location
The flat was extremely cold, there was so much draft coming from the floor, the flooring was uneven, my aunt nearly fell. There was no hot water, only the shower had hot water. The way the address was sent to us was so confusing, spent 2 hours walking up and down looking for flat 82. Instead of the house number, then a flat number.. the host was extremely helpful before check-in. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the duvet was not long enough.,

The one negative was the electric shower. It was quite difficult to regulate the temperture.
I would suggest a new unit.

location is perfect so close to Cardiff town, local to supermarkets, bars restaurants and cafes.
Coffee shop literally next door and bakery down the road.
parking is a short work away and is council road which is expensive roughly £14 for the day - free after 8pm though

Amazing location, very easy to communicate with host, big apartment, very clean, great amenities. Would definitely return!
It was hot so we had to have the windows open and the crosswalk buzzer went off continuously with each change in the stop light. Not the host's fault and nothing to be done, it was the only downside.

The flat was comfortable and clean.close to the city centre it was good and quiet at night . Definitely would go back.
The fact that no one was there to greet you. Some floorboards need fixing and the washing machine didn't work . It was also a nitemare trying to phone them and it took a while for them to get back to you via email. Apart from that all was very good value for money 😊
