The Biggin Hall Country House Hotel in the heart of the Peak District was luxurious and cosy. The Breakfasts, afternoon tea and dinners were delicious. The staff are efficient, friendly and knowledgeable and provided an excellent service. We look forward to visiting the hotel again in the future.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Biggin Hall Hotel. The listed buildings of stone were stunning and grounds were lovely to walk around. The Tissington Trail is nearby for the more adventurous. The hotel staff were professional; reception staff were welcoming and helpful, the waiting staff friendly, very helpful and kind to our 2 dogs, who accompanied us. We sat in the glass houses for breakfast and dinner, which suited us, with our dogs.
The food, both breakfast and dinner were excellent. We had complimentary packed lunches on both days of our stay; a very welcome and generous extra. We also had complimentary fresh milk, prosecco and ale in the fridge in our room. The ONLY downside to our stay was that our room was a little on the small side and in the attic, and we kept on banging our heads on the low ceiling and velux windows, when opened. I must also add, watch out for extremely hot water in the basin and bath/shower. There is a sign, but I didn't expect the water to be as hot when standing in the bath waiting for the shower to warm up. We would love to stay again, however, and next time we will choose a bigger room. Thank you to Biggin Hall.

My wife and I booked a weekend stay here and from the moment we arrived until we left we had a wonderful experience.
The staff are all very friendly and efficient while not being too overbearing and nothing is too much trouble. On arrival we had complimentary bottles of beer and fizz in the fridge along with fresh milk and a large bottle of tap water.
We had an evening meal the first night and the menu was varied and changes daily. The food was excellent and the ambience made for a relaxing evening.
Breakfast menu is varied with continental and cooked options and the cooked food is made to order so very fresh.
They even offer a complimentary packed lunch for both nights of our stay which was a great addition.
All in all we couldn't fault it and will be going back.

Gorgeous location, Old house, gardens, food was superb, staff were excellent but the Dog friendly rooms were a bit tired.

Had a lovely stay with our dog for just the one night!
We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable and had breakfast in one of the glass houses with our dog.
Set in some beautiful countryside and a place I can recommend and stay at again.

Instructions on getting to my room were inaccurate (arrived at 2230hrs) but on returning to reception I was guided by the receptionist. No milk cartons for tea/coffee and loads of cobwebs below the chest of drawers but otherwise ok. Bed comfy.

excellent service- room of a high standard and good range of options for breakfast

Beautiful is building and grounds. Location ideal for walking. Reception greeting was informative and pleasant. Staff were excellent throughout our stay. Our room was ground floor, beautifully presented and ideal for our dog.
With having the dog we didn’t want to leave her in the room (as they aren’t allowed in the main building or dining room) so opted for dining in the Greenhouse for our evening meal and breakfast. Service and food was exceptional. Nice little touch receiving our pack lunch for our days walking. We will certainly return in the future.

I had a lovely overnight stay at Biggin Hall, staff were really nice and efficient, the food was very good and it was reasonably priced.
My room was small but very comfortable and even had complimentary drinks in the fridge, it was above the boiler room so I was woken at 6am but apart from that everything was very good and I will definitely return on my next trip in that area.
They gave me a packed lunch to take away which was a nice touch.

Lovely owner managed property in the English countryside that can be used as a gateway to the Peak District. All amenities are modern despite the age of the buildings.

A delightful old stone main building.
All the staff were happy to help, nothing was too much trouble. Even the cat was friendly.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hotel. The staff were delightful and were so friendly and relaxed. The food was superb. The breakfasts all cooked to order and piping hot and the dinner menu was limited but superb. The complimentary drinks in the fridge in the room were a thoughtful touch and the complimentary packed lunch each day was such a good idea and meant we didn't have to go searching for somewhere to eat. Just find a fine spot and picnic! The room was so quiet and looked out over fields and sheep. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Definitely worth a return visit.

The location and setting were beautiful. The grounds and gardens were delightful. Service was excellent, flexible and friendly. Great walking direct from hotel with maps if needed. Food great.
thank you

Lovely welcome - all stay tense ines so friendly throughout our stay
Our room was perfect - dog friendly and they even gave him dog treats for breakfast with a sausage
Whilst you can’t take dogs in the main hotel they have 3 outdoor greenhouses converted to eating spaces
The bathroom in room 14 is excellent very modern
Our bed was extremely comfortable - maybe needed just a small sofa at foot of bed not 2 chairs as not a lot of space
Blinds could do with up dating but overall the hotel is beautiful and setting is perfect for walks in Dove Dale and Dove Valley

Service in the restaurant is excellent and the food is top quality. The reception staff are particularly friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable.
The free pack lunches everyday are a great touch.
We would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to go again.

The staff in particular where all extremely friendly . For the evening two course meal our main waiter was a lad called Andy who we both thought was excellent. My wife and i would thoroughly reckon a short OR long break . Very relaxing thanks.
