Really nice rooms. Loved the decor and all the treats in that room that you can purchase during your stay. They have a cozy restaurant and shop attached to the motel. Food was delicious.

What a hidden gem. The unique designed of the rooms are so cool and interactive. The owner is so personable and available for support. The history and local support of the motel is obvious. We’ll find a way to be back.

A wonderful place to stay. We stayed 2 nights while attending a wedding in Wakefield . The place is less than a 20 min drive to Chelsea or Wakefield. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and had a fun aesthetic. We will definitely return.

This place is a little hidden gem, I barely want to write this in case it sells out for my next vacation! Each room is different and carefully seen to every detail. Chain hotels are our go to, and have a reputation for certain standards, but there’s no love to the rooms. It’s like the difference between a home cooked meal or a tv dinner. This place was spotless, and everywhere you looked you found one more thing that made you smile. No furniture stapled to the wall like in a chain. It was like living in pinterest for a vacation, It just felt so cool and special. Staff was easy to communicate with, catered to our wishes, and was just a very relaxed environment. It was great. Customer service is a tough industry, and I have stayed in nice places and when the staff doesn’t care it makes everything awkward, u just want to leave. Not so here. Which was important to us esp this trip as it was a milestone wedding Anniversary for us and staying here made us both feel like we celebrated it properly. Before we left we were already planning how and when to come back. Highly recommend.

The Chelsea Motel is a creative artistic endeavour that made our stay memorable. The ambience and decor was a feast for the senses, I only wish the cafe had been open while we were there. However, the motel is close to many delectable dining options. We’re glad we found this gem on our road trip.

Small, roadside motel but once inside, you realize it’s run and taken care of with lots of love and pride. All rooms are uniquely but tastefully decorated in an eclectic, vintage style. Rooms are clean. The necessary quality amenities are provided (some for a fee but the basic ones are complementary). I enjoyed the restaurant which had good live bands playing both nights that I was there. I also loved the boutique with artisanal products at the reception. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff really stood out to me. Without me asking, they picked up on me not being so keen on the room I had booked, and they offered to transfer me to another top room they had. They got it cleaned up and ready for me very late at night just to make sure I’d have the best possible stay. I was touched by their attentiveness and friendly attitude and hospitality. The dining room staff was also so welcoming. They offered me to stay for the show even if I don’t have a meal or drink. (I ended up having some snacks anyways and enjoyed the night!) Another perk is coffee/tea available all day in the main building. I would stay again if I’m visiting the Chelsea/Wakefield area.

Overall very good-great decor and fun nostalgia items in the rooms. Difficult to wheel luggage to room- just need a few pavers between the parking and sidewalk alongside the motel. Need larger bath towels. Need hand soap. Entrance to parking from road would be much easier to find at night with a reflector. Small changes that would lead to rave reviews!

Motel Chelsea is a gem and I hope more folks stay here! The attention to detail is hard to put into words- you need to make sure to look all around your room for the beauty of the styling and vintage items. Our apartment was immaculate except for the kitchen garbage can had been overlooked and had not been emptied. The bathroom was large and squeaky clean. The on site restaurant was delicious and had great service. I would stay here again and might ask that the staff include some extra info for apartment renters regarding needing to enter through an unmarked door. Any gripes are truly quite small- this place was just wonderful!

I loved that each room was unique, very well decorated, high end finishes. Only a 7 minute d4ive to old chelsea where we had dinner. Inside the main area they had a bar and dinning as well with a cool store. We really enjoyed our stay

This little motel is an unexpected gem! Beautiful rooms (with gorgeous bathroom), extremely friendly staff. We stayed in the Palms room, lots of wonderful details that made the stay extra enjoyable. The only thing not perfect was the bed and pillows were a bit hard for my liking (my husband slept well though, so this is a personal preference only). And, without a shade in the bathroom, the room was quite bright from 6am on (as the door to the bathroom is glass so lets the light in). Other than that, our stay was perfect!

We had a one night stay after a visit to the Spa Nordik. The staff is so friendly and check-in was fully explained and easy. The room was beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. We also had access to coffee and tea whenever we liked. The restaurant served an amazing dinner and we had drinks at the bar. We will definitely stay here again!!

Nice Spot! We stayed after being at Spa Nordik for the day. We checked in late and went over to the restaurant attached to the motel. The Korean chicken sandwich was amazing and the service at night was friendly and excellent! We were startled to someone pounding on our door at 11pm though. Seemingly our neighbours feeling that our TV was a bit loud? Not a great experience to be honest. The restaurant was too busy in the morning to have breakfast as it is a local spot. The greeting when we asked about a table and were treated fpoorly, as if we were dumb.

We loved our stay at the Chelsea Motel. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay with them feel very special. The decor is so fun, modern, and inviting and the quality of the amenities were impressive. A very comfortable, lovely stay and we will definitely be back.

It was so charming and they really did well restoring the rooms. They were clean and we had everything we needed. The Dyson hair dryer was a nice surprise. Love the Bluetooth option for the room key. The only thing that I could say is that the bath towels need to be larger.

Such a fun, comfortable stay. Super clean, with wonderful staff. Charming retro rooms. Fantastic shower. The shop attached to the restaurant was an added bonus and they serve excellent cappuccinos and have a great variety of snacks and gifts for purchase. Good value for money. Highly recommend for those in the Chelsea/Wakefield area.

This redecorated Motel is an absolute treasure and has been transformed with quaint collectibles and a top designers touch with a nod to mid-century modern furniture and a '50s and'60s vibe, complete with phonograph players, 33 rpm albums and uplifting artwork and collectibles. So charming. Leah allowed us to tour the two renovated apartments as well as some rooms that weren't occupied on a Monday night. We were delighted with the room. We sent many photos to our families; it was that impressive and innovative! Looks like it will be a hot-spot for diners as well with a distinctive dining room and outdoor seating area. Renovations were still underway during our recent stay! Cute little '50s-style fridges also will tempt you with refreshments for sale, along with a basket of delectables on the countertop. The bathrooms are over-the-top elegant too. And the big-screen tv accompanied by an in-wall virtual fireplace also will wow you!

My fiancé and I decided to stay here as it was near the Nordik Spa. Unfortunately for us, we discovered that taxi and ride sharing services aren't really a thing here. We were told that we could book a cab, but only if we provided two hours advance notice which didn't really work with our plans. The restaurant/bar wasn't open when we visited which was on a Tuesday, so definitely check before you book as you truly are in the middle of nowhere. The room we stayed in was adorable, clean and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and tried to accommodate us as best they could.

WOW!! What a stunning, welcoming motel. The room is outstanding, the bed is the comfiest “hotel” bed ever. The bathroom had natural soaps and creams, which I appreciate deeply! We will be back again and again.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. Pretty much everything was amazing. The entire place has a real charm and the service throughout was amazing. The rooms are super clean, comfy and well appointed. The restaurant was excellent and a huge shoutout to our server who went to great lengths to accommodate all of our special requests. The only holdback (fairly important for a hotel) is that the temperature in the room at night was far too warm and made for an uncomfortable sleep. There was no way to adjust the temperature in the room so we were left without options. We will definitely return for the restaurant but unsure about the motel unless something is done about the temperature control.

A fabulous spot for our girls weekend! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, great food and a wonderfully unique apartment style room. Great location situated between two quaint little towns (Old Chelsea and Wakefield) and close to the network or trails in Gatineau National Park. We will definitely return!
