O conforto do quarto, a localização perfeita, os restaurantes ao lado e o nosso anfitrião Roberto que foi top do princípio ao fim, uma simpatia excecional, sempre disponível para nos acompanhar e ajudar, obrigada por tudo

Excellent location
Fantastic city
Slept in catacomb without air and light with mosquittos all over the place

The location was good!
The airconditioning did not work in both our rooms. Very old airconditioners. With 40 degrees plus outside, you would expect a solution. No alternative solution was offered (eg. fan, another room, refund) after various complaints. The rooms were warmer inside than outside. Only a very tiny window. Not very clean and mold on the walls . The rooms need an upgrade!

Amazing experience, well placed and top cleanilness !

Great location! I loved the cave-like charm and character of the suite. Teresa was very helpful with everything from check-in, to suggesting places to eat and activities to do. I was very comfortable in the room, as well as in the city.
I could not get the television to work. It started out working fine and then stopped displaying channels altogether. Also, the wifi was spotty in the bedroom, but worked perfectly throughout the rest of the suite. However, after repositioning the router, I was able to get better signal while in the bedroom.

the location was very central and the room was big . The person who took care of us was super friendly - she gave us a gift from the town and even booked a restaurant reservation to help us out!
The bathroom door is glass

the location was super!
The lower apartment cleanliness : the sofa bed was filthy and dust falling from the ceiling (the stone)and 2 windows that couldn't be closed so it was freezing all night. the grill bathroom fan was not clean.

Location was excellent.
Breakfast could have been better, quality of coffee poor, croissants not always available - perhaps bread would have been a nice option!

The accommodation could not be more central than it is. The room had a particular design and we quite liked the uniqueness of sleeping in a cistern.
The breakfast is also very nice, freshly baked pastries, cakes, coffee etc. all in a small buffet.
The check-in time was not available after 19.30, not even with a surcharge as it was said in the info e-mail we received. The staff was n ice enough, but as we got stuck in traffic it was very-very stressful that they weren't a bit more flexible.
However the room is underground and cute, the ventilation system makes it quite noisy, so u are underground expecting silence, but there is the unavoidable ventilation noise the whole day and night.

Location was amazing! Good restaurants and bars across the street and Teresa looked after us well. Matera is a very special place and it was great staying right in the middle!
The stairs to the bedroom were a challenge but we coped!

Amazing location - in a cave
No amenities (ie glasses, bottle opener) so difficult to enjoy the gorgeous rooftop terrace as advertised

Its simple, clean, easy accessible and it’s in historical sassi located.
Tv can only be watched one the first floor. In the bedroom area is no tv.

Very nice furnished cave (we were in the ‘Aqua’ location, a former water storage cave). Large. Clean. Very friendly and helpful personnel, who took care we could leave our luggage there already around 11am! In the center of Matera, ideal for visiting this awesome city. And they even waited for us at the bus stop to bring us to the cave (car parking not allowed in the old city, so you better park in the large parking garage at Via Saragat, and take the bus or walk to the center).
All was good!

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights in the heart of Sassi (the old city) and enjoyed it very much. The manager, Teresa was very helpful and kind before arrival and thorough out our stay. The room was very clean and spacious. Very important, we drove to Matera and since the hotel is located in a non driving zone Teresa booked for us a parking space in the DAMASCUS parking lot and they have a shuttle to take you to the hotel and back. Very convenient!!! I definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Location. Clean. Great staff. Amazing breakfast.
The upper floor of the room could benefit of a fan.

Amazing experience in the middle of the sassi with good staff and a terrace. They even gave us wine glasses to have our wine on the terrace.

In the center, perfect location, nice breakfast 👍
The air conditioning is not powerful enough , so in the summer the temperature is still high in the second floor.
