A really cracking hotel, nothing too much trouble for the owners who had thought of minor details to ensure a good experience. Would definitely stay here again, location good, plenty of parking and a good breakfast.

The owners Jamie & Julia made me feel extremely welcome throughout my stay. I was recovering fro pneumonia and they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable.

I would highly recommend a stay at Cimon, great location walkable to everything, free parking, very comfortable accommodation. The hosts are very helpful with some great tips.
The pool looks fab for the warmer days, we’ll be back to try it on a future stay!

The Cimon is run by Julia and Jamie and is a 12-room B&B that is comfy, cozy and feels like you are staying at their home (you are!). My friend Kim and I stayed two nights so we could explore all things Agatha Christie, and Julia recommended a stellar tour guide Graham who really made our trip, and Jamie recommended an excellent seafood spot (No. 7 Fish Bistro/Wine Bar). The common areas include a swimming pool and patio for the summer months and a conservatory for breakfast and happy hour cocktails made with local spirits. The rooms and lounges are comfy and have everything you need. The Cimon is within walking distance or a short cab ride to everything you want to see and do in Torquay. Highly recommend and thank you Julia and Jamie for such a welcoming stay!

Lovely welcome from Jamie, met Julia later who was also very friendly and welcoming.
We were in room 11. Very clean, spacious and comfortable.
Quite a steep hill to walk back from beach, if you have mobility problems you’d be in trouble. But this did mean we had a great view of the surrounding towns and the sea.
Bed was huge and really comfortable so if it hadn’t been for the really raucous seagulls the quality of sleep would have been great.
Swimming pool was nice and warm and open till around 8.
I assumed it was B&B only, but have since seen on the website you can have evening meal in the restaurant, I didn’t see any indication of this. Although we hadn’t planned to eat in as the selection of local eateries is vast.
Web site photos as with every other hotel perhaps make it look a little more spacious and modern than it actually is, but all in all a lovely place to stay.

Enjoyed a lovely 5 day break at this hotel, excellent service nothing was too much trouble for Julie, Breakfast was lovely cooked fresh, room comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend this and would definitely not hesitate in going back. Shame that we don't have great weather but we still had a lovely time.

Julia and Jamie are welcoming hosts with lots of knowledge of the area.
We stayed in a basic room, but would love to go back and stay in the sea view room!

The couple that own this hotel are extremely welcoming and easy going. Also very knowledgeable of the area and happy to share the best places to go. Rooms were comfortable and amenities great along with a very short Walk to the town

Wonderful atmosphere in the hotel. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The host was very knowledgable about the area and gave us good advice on ferries, dining options and local attractions and walks/hikes. We would definitely recommend to others and would stay again if we were in the area.

My husband, 2 children and I stayed over the Easter bank holiday, Julia and Jamie were lovely, and attentive hosts. The family suite was spotless, and a great size for the 4 of us. The location of the guest house was great, 5-10 min walk to the town and beach. Breakfast was also really tasty. Overall, a great place to stay in Torquay.

Julia and Jamie were very welcoming. Our boys are dairy free and they made sure they had in suitable milk and butter for them for breakfast. We found the location good - 5 mins to beach one way and 5 mins to shops another way. The heated pool is an added bonus which the boys loved going in every day after we had been exploring. The room was clean and breakfast good. Would definitely recommend the place.

We have just got back from 4 nights at the Hotel Cimon. Julia and Jamie were very friendly and helpful hosts where nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the seafront. The rooms were spotlessly clean. They had strived to make the hotel covid safe. Breakfasts were excellent with a good variety of fresh fruits and cereals on offer together with the more traditional full English. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One regret was that we were unable to take advantage of the heated swimming pool. Hopefully, next time. We highly recommend this charming hotel.

This hotel ticked all our boxes it was just what my husband and I needed a 15 minute walk away from the bars and restaurants. The owners Julia and Jamie were so hospitable they couldn’t do enough looking after all their guests, such had a very personal touch. Definitely I recommendation if you visits Torquay and the added bonus of the heated pool.

Friendly host, clean and tidy room.

The room was of a good size and was extremely clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with choices of cooked breakfasts on offer. The property had a decent size car park and was walking distance from the town centre. There was a pool available but we did not use this.
The bathroom was too small and the floorboards under the carpet creaked. We could hear guests in the room above us talking at night. There was a limited view of the sea from our room. There was no air conditioning but a small fan was provided.
Overall we had a pleasant experience and the positives outweighed the negatives. I would recommend this as a place to stay for a trip to Torquay.

We found this to be a very friendly hotel - we arrived 3.5 hours early and this was not a problem. The breakfast was excellant - freshly cooked for each guest. The swimming pool is lovely and warm and the bar is open throughout the day. We had room 7 which was close to the road and there was a lot of traffic noise in the early evening but was not problem during the night. The hotel is within walking distance of shops/seafront etc. We found this hotel to be very good vaue for money and would stay there again.

We are a family of 3 and found our room to be pleasant and comfortable but cramped. The bathroom was clean but once again quite small. The breakfast room is lovely and a little bar looked cosy for evening relaxation. We asked for vegetarian sausages for breakfast as they were on the menu but they didn't have any so I hope the kitchen can remedy this in the future. Otherwise breakfast very good. The staff were extremely helpful and the location is good-walking distance to the marina and restaurant area.

The welcome could not have been warmer, and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owners, who provided a magnificent breakfast and a very pleasant bar. My room was very clean and quiet, and the bed-linen quite luxurious, but the decor and layout was like a throwback to the 1970s, there's not much space, and the beds in my twin-bedded room were only 2ft6 wide!

Stayed in room No. 2 for one night. Room was clean, tidy & recently decorated. Bathroom had open/walk in shower so plenty of room. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was served on a hot plate, freshly cooked & free of grease. The local sausages were very tasty. Quiet location slept well. If I'm ever in Torquay its likely I'll stay here again

We had a great vacation. Cimon Guest House had very family orientated atmosphere, The staff were friendly and helpful with everything we asked. Wonderful breakfast in the morning!

What a lovely hotel. It was very welcoming and spotlessly clean. The room decor was like something out of a magazine. The room refreshments were fair trade.
The breakfast was scrummy. Fresh fruit salad, home made bread, cereals, full english or pancakes, waffles or kippers.
The terrace and the pool are lovely.
Can't fault this hotel and will stay there again without hesitation.
