The Purple House, aptly named for its exterior color, is a haven of art, eclectic design, and statement stain glass windows in nearly every room. It’s vintage feel and historic charm will transport you, while all of Nashville waits to be explored just out your door.

Enter through the home’s front, stained glass door into the main level with the living, dining, and kitchen spaces. The kitchen is as colorful as the rest of the home with bright blue walls, a rustic kitchen island, and all the cookware you need for convenient meals at home. Hang out in the vibrant kitchen with a fresh pour over coffee, or take your formal meals into the dining room with a large wooden table for 6 and decorative fireplace.

When lounging indoors, enjoy the cozy living area stocked with books, records for the record player, and movies to watch on the large tv. If hanging outdoors is more your style, the front porch has a swing, rocking chairs, and small cafe table all overlooking the neighborhood church. The front and back yards are fenced in with green lawn space for your enjoyment. The backyard additionally has a BBQ pit for your grilling needs.

This home comfortably sleeps 8 guests between 1 private bedroom, sleeping loft, and sleeper sofa in the living area.

The private bedroom suite includes a king size bed, ornamental fireplace, and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub.

The sleeping loft is furnished with 2 queen size beds and has an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Purple House. The pictures posted are very accurate. The house is comfortable and decorated with an eclectic, Nashville vibe. I think it has something for everyone. We loved it!

The Purple house has an awesome location in East Nashville. Walkable to 5 Points area, and a short ride to downtown. The house is spacious, eclectic, and uniquely decorated. The front porch is terrific, and the backyard is private. We will definitely stay here again.

Plenty of room in this VRBO. The front and backyard is fenced in allowing our dog to run freely. The place is a bit older but everything is well kept. Be aware that some of the drawers and closets have locks on them so if you're bringing a lot of clothes there might be a storage problem. The washer and dryer is new and worked great. Parking is on the street but we never had a problem finding a spot right in front of the house. It was a quiet neighborhood and we rarely heard noise. You can walk to local shops and the main city is only a short drive away. The only problem we had is there was no outside garbage bins to dump our trash in when we left. They either disappeared or were mistakenly placed in the house behind this one (it had 4, we had none). Not a real issue. Oh, and it would have been nice if at least one of the two fireplaces worked. The one in the master bedroom had candles in it and the one in the dining room was closed up. But, outside of that, it was a large clean interesting house at a fair price and we'd stay again.

This was an incredible property. The eclectic design made for fun discoveries at every turn. It's in a great neighborhood within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The fenced front and back yards made it easy to travel with our dog. Excellent host communication made the process convenient and stress-free.

We like east nashville a lot and this is a very convenient place to stay The Purple House is beyond eclectic. There are great spaces and plenty to look at on the walls Only problem was neither of the two coffee makers were working, but if they were we might not have discovered the Foaming Monkey Looking forward to another stay some time

What a great neighborhood to stay in!! Just a hop, skip, and jump to the city center…but you get to come home to the quaintness of the East End (such a cute neighborhood with lots of restaurants and little local shops!). We had a fabulous time and a great stay at The Purple House! We’d definitely stay again!!

The Purple House is a cool old house in a great location. Easy to Uber/Lyft downtown, and close enough to walk to Nissan Stadium if you’re feeling ambitious. They offer a nice setup of supplies to get you started, and nearby grocery stores make it easy to restock. We had a great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We loved the old “antique” style furniture and wood furnishings, and the musical decorations and history throughout. It had all the amenities and fenced in backyard and front for dog. Was near shopping areas, restaurants and bars and about 1.5 miles to downtown Nashville. Perfect for us! We had a great time. The only thing was that the code didn’t work. We called and were able to get the backup code. The front door is warped some but shuts and locks. Just some gaps that will need fixed soon. It’s a big old door and is cool though. In any case we loved the house and had a great time!

Wonderful house! Don’t change a thing. Fenced in back and front yards were wonderful for a dog friendly house. Short walk to coffee and several good restaurants. Can’t recommend this place enough.

This house is close to everywhere worth going! Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. All of the neighbors were friendly and helpful with recommendations. Nice sidewalks to take long walks to explore. I will definitely stay at The Purple House again!

Very interesting property. Charming older home with tons of eclectic decor. Seems we were constantly discovering something we hadn’t seen before. Somehow they have managed to provide all the modern amenities without losing the vintage charm. Almost like having a museum in your home. Definitely worth checking out.

We had a great time! The house was in a great neighborhood and we loved just getting to walk around. Very calm and peaceful, but easy to get to the other side of the river. Would recommend!

The purple house was decorated with a fun eclectic vibe! Perfect location for a quick Uber downtown or walk for a drink on the historic east side. Rooms were spacious and comfortable! Owners were quick to reply/communicate re any questions and concerns!

We had 4 adults and 1 dog and this property was perfect - cool/funky place with a great fenced in yard (very much dog approved) and we were close to restaurants etc and it was super easy to head over the bridge to Broadway/Bridgestone - loved it!

We absolutely loved the uniqueness of this home. It’s colorful, eclectic vibe is perfect. We spent a lot of time on the front porch swing overlooking the fenced in yard with our pup. The home is located within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. We loved looking at all of the historic homes in the neighborhood. We even walked to Nissan Stadium for a concert and never felt unsafe. This home is a gem. I would love to stay here again.

If you're interested in a property that is in close proximity to downtown Nashville, I say look no further. My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway, and we loved it. Our kids (age range 6-14) loved it too. The furniture and decor is comfortable and fun. Neighborhood is safe. The house is clean and well stocked. The hosts are very responsive to any concerns that you might have. If we're ever back in Nashville I would stay at the purple house again.

We enjoyed our stay at “The Purple House” very much. We had our two puppy girls with us and it was nice to have the fenced in yard that was nicely mowed. The kitchen was well stocked with a great little coffee station. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of sidewalks and a short drive to the top Nashville attractions. Communication with the owners was very prompt in their responses. Would definitely stay here again!

This beautiful house is located in a quiet neighborhood within minutes of all of the fun. There are several spaces for relaxing and visiting, including two porches, so a shady spot is always available. I’ll be back!

We loved the House! walkable to fun shopping and dining easy to get down town. The house is comfortable and so unique. We brought our dogs and they loved the fenced in yard and long walks through the neighborhood which is equally enjoyable for the humans, as the houses and flowers are spectacular. there is a garden tub and you didnt have the fore thought to bring bathbombs etc your really need to go to Konadu body its an easy walk you wont regret it ! I chose this property because it looked intriguing--age and decor. It lived up to the pictures. The property was spacious and was a well maintained old house. As per my 35 year experience living in a house of the same vintage, many of the rooms had few electrical outlets. That made using the hair dryer difficult and finding a plug for a CPAP machine was a struggle. Maybe an extension cord or 2 would be added. We moved the sofa so we could use the futon for sleeping and found a paper straw and other debris under it. Also found a electronic battery charger. It appeared the house cleaners cleaned around but not under furniture. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean and the beds were comfortable. There were adequate blankets for the beds. The thermostat was very easy to set and use. Our stay in the Purple House was pleasant. Thank you.
