About this house rental
Welcome to Lake Escape’s Sunny Daze! This fully renovated lakefront home on Lake Norman is the perfect spot for you to bring your family and friends to experience the beauty and adventure of the lake while having all of the comforts and conveniences of a fully stocked home. Whether you are enjoying a meal at the large dining table, relaxing on the enclosed porch, playing in the huge gameroom, relaxing by the firepit or floating in the lake from your private dock... this home will be your oasis for the entirety of your stay.
The open concept great room combines the living room and dining area with the kitchen just off to the side. Stream on the 65” TV while enjoying the gas fireplace. Whip up your favorite meals in the fully stocked kitchen. It is fully equipped with quality pots, pans, flatware, dishes, serving ware, utensils and small appliances. You’ll also find a Keurig with all of the coffee and accouterments you’ll need. (A standard coffee pot is also provided.)
Straight out the back is the enclosed porch. Lots of seating for everyone to relax and decompress while your grill master cooks up some dinner on the propane grill.
On this main level are 3 of the bedrooms. The master has a king bed and en suite bathroom with a large stall shower, double vanity and dedicated make-up area. The 2 other bedrooms on this level feature Queen beds with high end mattresses and bedding. All of the bedrooms feature ceiling fans, lamps, Amazon echo alarm clocks, and power points on the night tables. The hall bathroom provides a tub/shower and services the 2 guest bedrooms along with the living area. Both bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and all of the fluffy towels you could need.
Downstairs is the large gameroom with a 65” TV and all of the board games you could want. It also features ping pong, pop-a-shot basketball, skeeball, pinball and arcade games. There is a desk and a large sectional with a pullout sofa. This sofa bed is a full size and sleeps 2 guests.
Also on this lower level is the 4th bedroom. This bedroom features a Queen bed and an XL Twin. The full bathroom with tub/shower serves this lower level.
Out the back you’ll find the expansive lawn where you can enjoy all of the lawn games and toys that are provided. Head down to the lake and sit by the firepit with our complimentary firewood or head to the private dock to jump in the lake or set out for a ride in your boat.
Here you’ll also find all of the lake toys! There are 4 kayaks, 2 SUPs and life jackets all included!

Sunny Daze was the perfect house for our family to enjoy a week together on Lake Norman! The house was large and roomy with great views of the Lake! Everything has been beautifully updated inside the house! GThe game room was PERFECT for the kids for the days that rained! All the little extras provided by Jessica and Adam (owners) are SO appreciated! The kayaks, and water toys were great and the dock was perfect for our boat and jet skis! Once we can narrow down a date for next summer, we will for sure be reaching out to see if Sunny Daze is available for rent!! Thanks for everything Jessica and Adam!!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Sunny Daze! The house was beautiful, with lots of space, and extremely clean. The house had everything we could possibly need. We had a great time relaxing on the dock and using the paddle boards. We would definitely come back! Thank you so much.

We just returned from our second stay at a lovely LAKE ESCAPE home. This time we chose a larger home, which we were very comfortable in. We were there during an extreme heat wave ... so we spent a good deal of time inside this home enjoying the beautiful lake views which you can take in from every room. We liked this home so much that we extended our next stay there in only a few months from now.
I communicated with Jessica over the phone several times just to ask questions and she was very helpful. We always travel with our fur baby and Missy also was very happy staying at Sunny Daze ... with plenty of space for her to move about. We know there are many lake house rentals to choose from on Lake Norman, but we plan to continue booking with LAKE ESCAPE VACATIONS because we have seen that they manage their homes extremely well ... the two homes we stayed at were very clean, have beautiful water views, and have all the necessities we need to be comfortable.

We rented for the 4th of July with friends, the house is the most renter friendly stay that I have had. The owners thought of everything, including labeling everything to take any mystery out of it! We had plenty of room for 2 ski boats and a jet ski, and the many high quality noodles were a big plus. Overall I give it a 5+ star review!

Our family enjoyed everything about this home. All of the amenities, the layout, the beds, rec room, lake toys and dock were thoughtfully provided—aside from picking up food at the grocery on the way in, we needed nothing else. Thanks Jess for opening your home to us!!

Our family had never been to Lake Norman, but a few friends have visited and loved it. We decided to give it a shot and found this property on VRBO.
It has great rating and the reviews were awesome.
We booked a 7 day stay with 8 family members and dogs.
It was the perfect place! The property has everything you need. The accommodations for all family members exceeded our expectations. The owners have thought of everything right down to the lights surrounding the fire pit! We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.

I can't say enough good things about both the property and the family that owns this home. The house is clearly loved. The house was spotless, filled with everything you think you could need, and the view was gorgeous. I would love to come back again for another family gathering! Thank you for your hospitality!

My wife, two teenage kids and I spent an awesome 4 days at this beautiful home on the lake. Jessica's communication was awesome from the weeks leading up to the trip and also during it as well which made everything so easy. Additionally, I have stayed at many VRBO homes at Lake Norman and we have never experienced a home that was set up as conveniently as this one and the check out process was a breeze as well.
We used the fire wood that is provided by the owners to get a fire going each of our 3 nights and that is a nice added bonus. We spent the nights by the fire enjoy lots of laughs and a good time. While hanging out by the fire at night, we kept a couple of fishing rods in the water with cat fish bait and we caught a really big one which was a blast as well. We caught a couple of bass as well during the day.
We used the kayaks and SUPs each of the days which is another great bonus that allows you to get out on the water to enjoy the lake more.
The view off the back of the yard is absolutely beautiful and we spent a lot of out time out back.
Inside, they have a great game room that we enjoyed quite a bit. 65 inch TVs ready for easy streaming and really strong wifi service.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this home and I would not be surprised if my family and I stay here again in the future.

Very lovely home, great location and all the amenities for a perfect lake vacation. Super, super clean!! Well stocked kitchen and attention to detail. Lovely decor, comfortable seating. Fire pit on the lake was a great place to sit, grill and enjoy lake views.

This property looks exactly as advertised. Excellent home to rent for a family getaway. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities. The home is sitting directly on Lake Norman, perfect spot for fishing. My son caught his first bass here. It was so exciting. The house was very clean and well stocked. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Raised the bar for what a VRBO experience can be! Hosts have thought of absolutely everything - we have never had a stay that didn't involve a store run for a needed item to cook, store food, clean, enjoy amenities or otherwise. Communication was prompt and through too. This was a last minute, short stay but we are already checking calendars and hoping to return later this spring/summer.

The house is exactly as it is described. It’s very clean and welcoming with a lot of space. Everything is well labeled and organized. They stock it with toiletries and all the kitchen supplies you’d need. We were there off season but the neighborhood was quiet. It’s a very nice home with a quaint spot on the lake. We didn’t use it but the dock was large and looked brand new. Lots of stores and restaurants close by. We didn’t need to contact the owners for anything but check-in/out was the easiest out of all the homes I’ve rented over the years. We would rent again from Lake Escape. It seems like a well run rental company.

Beautifully decorated and very well appointed vaca home for guests. Kitchen had everything we needed, laundry room was supplied with a few laundry soaps, swim towels and more. The Game room was fun and the kayak and SUP boards were also fun. We utilized the outside fire pit every evening and appreciated there was firewood. Jess was very quick and responsive when we had a need arise. We will certainly love to stay at Sunny Daze again or even try one of their other vacation homes.

We wanted a relaxing fall getaway for our 20th anniversary. We LOVED this home - beautiful, well kept, every single thing we needed, easy walk to the water and so much to do. Once we got groceries we didn’t leave the house for the week. It was so relaxing we had a hard time coming home. Thank you for having us!

The house exceeded our expectations. The dock was well maintained and the driveway made it easy for us to get our boat trailers in without having to backup anywhere. We did have a power issue that was out of the owners hands but tried to be accommodating. Honestly we go to lake Norman every year and out of every place I’ve ever stayed at I will tell say that the owners care more then any other Vrbo owner I’ve ever personally dealt with.

This home had everything our family could need to enjoy a short lake vacation. The home was fully stocked for all of our indoor and outdoor needs. Jess was very responsive when there was an issue and overall, was very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Everything about this house was amazing. It was so clean and had everything we needed and then some. There was an issue with the wifi (which isn’t their fault) but Jess was on top of it and even told me when there was an issue even before I realized it. This was our first visit to Lake Norman but not our last. We had the best time and none of us wanted to leave. Definitely wanting to stay here again!!!

We have traveled as a family to a variety of different lakes and houses over the past few years, this is the first house that I want to book again for next summer.
I can't say enough great things. Here are a few highlights:
1) House was wonderfully stocked- laundry supplies, assorted Keurig pods with cream/sugar options, kitchen was organized and thoughtfully stocked with updated appliances- brand new Ninja blender (it is always annoying to find super old appliances). FIREWOOD
2) The basement with the games provided are thoughtfully sourced for both old and young kids and in excellent condition.
3) The linens- the towels were as nice if not nicer than what we have in our own house and the bed linens were really comfortable and correctly fit the beds (NEVER happens with rental linens)
4) The dock!- the dock is composite, no splinter risks for the kids!!! No spiderwebs on the ladder for us to have to clean off! Solar lighting at night so we can see where we are going!
5) outdoor toys- the closet was well organized, the floats were in great shape and really clean. The swim mat was easily the most used thing for our kids to play in the water.
6) DOGS! You would NEVER know the property is dog friendly - zero hair/dander/wearing on any of the furniture.
7) Owners- loved the ability to have the welcome information sent digitally, and the fact that we just needed to lock the door when we left is what made us really feel like we were on vacation.
Can't wait to come back next summer

We had an amazing mini-vacation at this beautiful lake home! This house is in a perfect location and is great for families! The owners literally thought of everything and the house was so well stocked! We loved hanging on the dock as a family, letting the kids play on the water mat, while the adults enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. The game room was beyond amazing and fun was had by all, including a basketball competition! Jessica was super responsive and the house was immaculate! We will be back and will stay longer! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

Just left and we are all sad it’s over. This home was great and had enough room for us all. Everything is stocked from kitchen supplies to laundry to bathroom. Home was excellent in terms of cleanliness. Would recommend to future renters.

The only bad thing was the cleaners were there before we checked out at 10:00am, which is ridiculous since we cannot check in till 4 but have to be out by 10:00am!

Beautiful property with a lot of amenities. The kayaks and paddle boats were a lot of fun! The scenery was magical. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, there was plenty of space for the 9 of us, and the kids really enjoyed the game room.

I recently stayed here with family (5 adults, 3 kids, 3 dogs) and we had the best time. The house is exactly as pictured, very clean, and the hosts truly thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay. The location is beautiful2, on a quiet cove on Lake Norman, as well as close to grocery stores, restaurants, bars, hiking, etc. I would highly recommend Sunny Daze to anyone!
