The house was lovely and very clean. Beds were comfortable with exceptionally nice linens. In fact, all aspects of the house were tasteful. Genevieve answered questions promptly and thoroughly and even put out some oven pans I had asked about so that they were right there when we arrived. Couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable experience.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The location couldn’t have been any better. The house was just the right size for 4 adults. It had everything we needed and the home owner was very easy to work with and accessible! If I ever find myself back in Alexandria I will surly be staying here again!

This Historic Townhouse is the perfect place to stay in Alexandria. The townhouse is an 8-minute walk to the Potomac River Wharf and King Street for dining & shopping. The river taxi is a fun way to get to DC and back. Alexandria has many historic tours and sites! The townhouse is quaint, comfortable, clean, and homey. Access was easy and our host, Genevieve, was accommodating to our early arrival. We can't wait to go back.

If you are looking for a convenient place to stay in Old Town Alexandria that is beautifully decorated, has everything you could possibly need (a/c, washer/dryer, etc), comfortable beds, lovely patio and modern well-equipped bathrooms in an historic home, book this VRBO now! The owner was communicative and extremely easy to work with, with simple check-in and out procedures. I’ve stayed in many VRBO locations and can confirm that this one is a gem!

Perfect location, everything we needed was there, including basic supplies. Outdoor patio cozy and comfortable.
(Just a heads up…the double doors in the large bedroom have a loose hinge (on the right, entering the room. Makes it challenging to close doors easily. Just needs a screw driver fix.

We (two couples in our late 60's) enjoyed our two night stay in this historic home. The host (Genevieve) was easy to communicate with. It is very well located and within walking distance to everything in historic Old Town Alexandria.

What a treat to enjoy a historical home in charming Alexandria. The home is lovely and very comfortable and inviting. The kitchen is well-equipped and you have your choice of a Keurig or drip coffee maker. There is a very peaceful sitting room upstairs that we enjoyed in the mornings and evenings.
The location is great- close to CVS, Starbucks, and some wonderful bakery’s. We walked to The Basilica of St. Mary for Easter Mass and a 15 min walk to Safeway for groceries. We took an Uber to the Metro station primarily due to rain and we trended 12k+ steps around the National Mall each day. We were blessed to time our visit during the Cherry Blossom festival- spectacular!
I would recommend this property.

Definitely planning to return.

This was a very unique historic home that we chose for that reason. It was what was described and expected.

The home is well stocked and beautifully maintained. It is the perfect size for a small group of friends. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are perfect for relaxing and catching up. And the location is perfect—walk to the water. To restaurants and to Trader Joe’s. The owner could not have been better at communicating and making us feel welcome. Absolutely wonderful all around.

We lived in DC 20 years ago and have come back with our kids every year since. We always like to mix it up and stay in different areas….until now. I’m always the one researching homes and hotels - counting stars and reading reviews. This historical home caught my eye. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve walked up and down the streets of Alexandria saying, “wouldn’t it be cool to live in one of these houses?” So we were thrilled to finally have an opportunity to at least pretend! This rental is in an amazing location (near literally everything). We stayed up late one night, hanging out on the gorgeous private patio sipping wine and talking about the history of the house and its original owner. We dined at some spectacular restaurants and cruised the river, but our favorite night was just hanging out on the patio on a warm summer night under the twinkling lights. The house is clean, has everything you need (and then some), comfy beds, and the owner is on top of every correspondence. We will definitely be coming back!

Such a charming house! We will definitely stay again. Nice and quiet. Incredibly close to all of the great things about Old Town. Everything you could want in a place after a long day of walking. Great location in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. Comfortable arrangement with two full baths upstairs and one half bath on the first floor. Street parking was always available during our stay.

Wonderful all around for a short weekend stay visit to our son. Excellent communication with owner, lots of special things from snacks to soft towels and toiletries as needed. Quaint outdoor sitting area.

Mothers Day getaway with my adult daughters was wonderful. This historic home was just charming and cozy. From the family room to the patio backyard, it was all very comfortable. EVERYTHING was within walking distance…great restaurants, shopping, waterfront, Torpedo Factory, Escape Quest, live entertainment…and we did it ALL! The smaller bathroom is a little tight but they thought to add a desk and light in the bedroom to be used as make up area so still great for adults. I will be back with my husband!!

We are a group of friends who stayed here for 11 days.
It is a beautiful historic row house in Old Town Alexandria
very close to King Street. We were convenient to the bus
and the Metro.
The kitchen was well equiped, the rooms were comfortable
A/C was available. The bedrooms were good and the bathrooms nice.
We walked a lot and the location was perfect for us.
Would come again.

This property is in great condition and was perfect for 4 adults for a long weekend! 2 separate bed and baths with a cute outdoor space for relaxing , and an ideal location within walking distance to nearby restaurants, shopping and waterfront. The host, Genevieve, went above and beyond for us and was very concerned about our comfort and made it super easy to check in. We highly recommend this place and would definitely book again!

This four-night stay was acquired with only 24 hours notice, and the hosts handled it wonderfully. We loved the location, just two blocks from King Street in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. We went to the farmers market, many restaurants and shops, including the waterfront, and were close to DC for a quick Uber ride to a few events. The house itself is gorgeous and convenient. We cooked a few meals and enjoyed the kitchen and dining experience since everything was well stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and each had it's own bathroom. The best part was the fenced in back patio, where we enjoyed sitting outside on comfortable furniture under the twinkling lights in the evening. Lovely stay! Would definitely stay here again.

My wife, our 2 teenage daughters and I stayed at this wonderful property for 5 days.
Everything was great, including location, character, cleanliness and owner.
The location is excellent, only 1 block from King Street and all Alexandria has to offer, including the free King Street shuttle that is only a 8 minute ride to the Metro stop. From there, a short 20 minute metro ride to the center of Washington DC.
Only a 4 block walk to Trader Joe’s for groceries.
The house offers a full kitchen, washer/dryer and 2 1/2 bathrooms which come in handy with 2 teenagers. Everything is very comfortable, including the beds, couches, etc. The Owner/Manager was very kind/accommodating, including leaving snacks, fresh coffee, etc.
I would absolutely book this house again in a heartbeat.
Tip: don’t rent a car. A 7-day unlimited metro card was $40. Uber rides were less than $20 for nearly anywhere you want to go, if not accessible by metro.

My husband, son and I truly enjoyed making this home the hub of our stay for a quick D.C. tour. It's about a 10 minute brisk walk to the King Street Metro, but it's much better to walk to the metro than to stay near the Metro (would never stay there) because we were able to enjoy breakfasts and dinners in Old Town, along with wonderful walks along the Potomac. Plus, my son got to experience living in an 1850's home,. The host is lovely, and the stay was great!
