About this house rental
Tucked away on a small mews beside Regency Square, this exceptional house is just a stone’s throw from Brighton Beach & Promenade. Unassuming from the outside, a garage door raises to reveal a private courtyard garden and the immaculate, sun-drenched façade of the house which also boasts a full width balcony.
*Please Note: Only one dog is allowed under our 'pets allowed' policy. Please see below for our pet fees. This property is a family friendly property and is not suitable for hen and stag parties. We have close neighbours and request that noise be at a minimum after 10pm.
Regency Stables sits on a small mews street just beyond Regency Square’s eastern edge in one of the most central and vibrant neighbourhoods in the city. The surrounding streets are dotted with pubs, restaurants and theatres so you really are spoilt for choice – and almost certainly won’t have time to visit them all in a single trip. All the more reason to return!
Within two minutes from the front door you will find multiple award winning restaurants: sophisticated fine dining at The Salt Room or Cyan; award winning Japanese food at the tiny Bincho; or relaxed fine dining on the beach at Murmur. The Regency Restaurant is consistently voted the place for fish and chips in Brighton! And if you want to try vegan fish and chips No Catch couldn’t be closer. Brighton’s best brunch can be found at The New Club or The Flour Pot on the Beach (where you can also pick up some fantastic artisanal bread to bring home) and for a secret locals’ spot, check out the West Beach Café Bar hidden away in the replica ticket booth at the i360 – you can grab cake and a deckchair and watch the world go by.
Brighton and South Down’s pub of the year 2022, the Hole in the Wall, with an ever changing beer menu, is also right on your doorstep. Or grab a cocktail in the beautiful restored cocktail bar in the Hilton Metropole.
If you can bear to walk as far as 10 minutes from your front door, you will be right in the heart of the Lanes and all the restaurant there: Burnt Orange, 10 degrees, the Chilli Pickle, the Ivy in the Lanes, Flint House, Riddle and Fins, the Coppa Club, Terre a Terre. The list is endless….
Brighton Little Theatre is a hidden gem just a few minutes away where local actors perform in an intimate theatre setting. For larger performances, the Dome, Theatre Royal and the Brighton Centre are also within walking distance, or the Odeon Cinema is nearby with eight screens showing the latest blockbuster movies.
Brighton Beach is quite literally on your doorstep and is lovely at all times of year for blustery walks, sunbathing, drinks and dining alfresco and for ‘people-watching’ along the prom. Newly regenerated during 2019, there are several new bars, restaurants and clubs, and you can hire parasols, deckchairs and sun loungers for enjoying ice creams or fish & chips by the sea.
Stepping inside, the house is deceptively spacious with a stunning open plan living space alongside three generous en suite bedrooms to comfortably sleep up to six people. Stylish furnishings, fittings and artworks can be found throughout, and the entire house is equipped with everything you’ll need for your self-catering stay, offering a level of luxury and glamour which few holiday homes can bring.
You are incredibly central here; within walking distance of all of Brighton’s well-known landmarks. The i360 is one minute away, and the Royal Pavilion the Lanes and the Palace Pier are less than 10-minutes away on foot, while there is a plethora of exciting restaurants, bars, gastropubs, clubs and theatres on your doorstep too.
Originally the coach house and stables serving the grand townhouses on the square, this house has a uniquely spacious layout which has been completely renovated in recent years to create a contemporary home with streamlined features spread over two spacious floors. The building sits around a courtyard garden with space for secure parking alongside a dining area accessible through double doors from the main reception room, so it becomes a seamless extension of the space during the warmer seasons.
Inside, the house is ready to host up to six people, with space to both entertain or relax in style, and each of the three bedrooms has an en suite bathroom. Immediately impressive, the interior decoration and bespoke furnishings are exceptional, offering the perfect balance between home comforts and a luxury hotel stay.
Spanning the width of the house, the open plan living space has clearly defined areas for dining, relaxing and cooking which are divided by a curved glass brick wall to conceal the kitchen while allowing the natural light to flow through. It is a sociable space with a bespoke dining table built from reclaimed wood, below pendant lighting and a vast sofa and comfy chairs for reclining after a long day sightseeing in the city.
Streamlined and stylish, the kitchen comes well-equipped with appliances that include a dishwasher, an American fridge freezer, a microwave and an oversized double oven with a gas hob and extractor fan. While you will be tempted to eat-out at any one of the numerous, award-winning restaurants nearby, you have everything you need to cook a beautiful meal right here. There is a good range of crockery, glassware, cutlery, cooking utensils and pans, plus tea, coffee and milk will also be provided. Should you need anything in particular, please ask and we will make every effort to accommodate.
For cosy nights in or for families looking to entertain children, there are 2 large TVs all able to stream movies or music. Super-fast complimentary Broadband and WiFi are also in place for anyone on a working holiday.
The first double bedroom and a shower room sit on the ground floor looking out through triple glazed sash windows to the internal courtyard garden. Double blinds (in all the bedrooms) allow for weekend lie-ins. The double bed has a deep memory foam mattress dressed in fine cotton linens and plump pillows for ultimate comfort, so whatever time you fall into bed, you can ensure a truly restful night’s sleep. The shower room is spacious and also houses the washing machine – ideal for those staying longer than two-nights. This room is wheelchair accessible, however, please note there is a step up into the shower which is 10 inches high.
Climbing the oak staircase through the double height vaulted stairwell, there are two further en suite bedrooms on the first floor. The principal bedroom comes complete with dressing room area, a super-king size bed with deep memory foam mattress and feather and down pillows, and direct access to the full width sunny balcony where you can sit with your morning coffee or pre-dinner G & T looking out over the historic landscape. Bedroom two is equally well-dressed with soft furnishings, fine artworks and a king size bed. It also has direct access onto the balcony. Both rooms have chic en suite bathrooms, plus there is a fourth family bathroom along the landing, with a double ended bath with German waterfall spa tap for a long pampering soak. Premium toiletries and fresh fluffy towels are provided.

We stayed in Brighton for about 9 days. The house was very comfortable and a one minute walk to the beach. Lots for the kids to do. I suggest waling into Hove for a great selection of restaurants, etc. In Brighton itself, The Walrus Pub is reputed to have the best Sunday roast.
Overall the VRBO was very roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking appliance and utensils making eating in ever for a large group very easy.
I highly recommend this VRBO.

House was a short walk from the beach and many restaurants. Very clean, beds were all comfortable, well equipped. Parking area was tight but very safe. Appreciated the ability to check in early after a long overnight flight. Overall a great option.
