This large four-bedroom property located in Deal is stunning. From the moment you pull up to the large double gates and park on the full fronted drive, to entering the spacious well decorated and furnished house, it is lovely! Each room offers comfort and space to enjoy with family or friends, with a real gas flame fire in the living room and a smart TV for chilling out in front of after a long day exploring Deal’s castles and beaches. The property has plenty of little surprises from a nice quiet well-stocked library room, a hidden downstairs toilet and utility room to a large family garden big enough for football, tennis and many other outdoor games. Being built around 1904 the property has high ceilings and lavish features dotted around the house still for guests to enjoy.
Deal is a coastal town in Kent, England, which lies where the North Sea and the English Channel meet, 8 miles north-east of Dover and 8 miles south of Ramsgate. It is a former fishing, mining and garrison town whose history is closely linked to the anchorage in the Downs. Deal’s promenade overlooks a pebbly beach that offers scenic views of the English Channel and out towards the Goodwin Sands. Following an extensive refurbishment, Deal Pier (the town’s third) is a landmark not to be missed - you might recognise it as a location from ITV’s ‘Liar’, which was filmed in Deal. The view from the end of the pier, looking back at the historical buildings lining the shore, has remained unchanged for more than 100 years.
If you’re a history enthusiast, head to Deal Castle. Built by the order of King Henry VIII as part of a chain of coastal defences, it’s one of the finest Tudor artillery castles in England. Keep an ear out for some interesting Deal Castle facts during your visit! The fascinating maritime history of Deal - a former smuggling haunt - is a joy to uncover.
