This cozy home was in a wonderful and safe location. It was minutes away from The Golden Gate Bridge, Little Italy and Alcatraz. Me along with my husband and 2 teenage children absolutely loved it. It had just enough space for us all. The sitting area outside was our favorite to relax at the end of our day. Our host always replied quickly, over text and phone call. We will definitely be going back!

We stayed for almost a week in this cute, perfect little home. Caroline was super accomodating for whatever we needed. The place was clean, had everything we needed to cook meals, perfect for a family of 4. Loved it and would certainly book again if we come to the San Fran area for another vacation or anything, a lot more quite and peaceful than San Fran! Had a wonderful time, thank you!!

Stayed one night as part of a six day traveling California coast visit for a family of four, two parents and two teenage daughters. Nice quiet location, very friendly host, we used much of what the property had to offer in the short time we were there, which added to our whole trip. We made a dinner in the kitchen being a pasta meal that included baking a medium sized pizza we bought from the Whole Foods nearby. Then the next morning had our breakfast pastries, fruit, and coffees before heading back out.
We stayed there after a long family hike starting in Muir Woods and into Mt. Tamalpais state park. So the house being close to the trails, groceries, and restaurants offered a great spot to rest and recover. After our dinner and evening television we opened the window and only heard the sounds nature before going to sleep and well after awakening.
Would stay there again if we were to visit Mill Valley and nearby surrounding area in the future. Have to mention that the kitchen had a well designed and very functional island, which added to the properties charm and overall high degree of utility.

We had a lovely relaxed stay. The gardens leading to the cottage were beautiful and the space was thoughtfully designed. I loved that it had real art and that there we could read about the artists and the craftspeople who built the cottage and the furniture in it. It was a great place to spend a quiet evening of our trip.

The little rental cottage was just perfect for our needs. It was spotlessly clean, in a perfect quiet location, and our host Caroline was wonderful. She definitely put a lot of thought and consideration into this cottage. I highly recommend using this as a home base when visiting the Mill Valley area.

Stay at this property for one night while attending an event in the area. Caroline was great to communicate with, and her place had everything we needed.

- absolutely gorgeous, welcoming property, lovely little patio for having tea in the morning
- very comfortable bed
- host was very responsive
- need to close the bedroom doors when sleeping, the motion-triggered lights are very bright otherwise
- the skylights are wonderful, though the opening mechanism is confusing. Highly recommend taking a shower in the morning
- within easy (~30min) walk to stores/grocery/cafes/etc
- don't recommend the trails within easy walking distance unless you're an experienced (California!) hiker. I've hiked a lot in Ontario, but that trail is *steep*

Our modern, one-bedroom home was terrifically thought out, comfortable and well located for our 10 day stay. Fully equipped and very clean. We even managed an over-night by our granddaughters (8 & 5). Small yard allowed our dog to stretch and for us to take in the sun. Dedicated parking removed that hassle. Quiet neighborhood close to stores and convenient to Sausalito to Mill Valley. We'll be happy to return.

Beautiful guest house with easy parking and lots to do in a short driving distance. Caroline was a very responsive host. Hope to visit again!

Our experience in the Mill Valley cottage was superb... most definitely top quality from the lush and lovely courtyard gardens throughout the well-appointed cottage. A very clean and tastefully decorated space stocked with everything you need and more. We highly recommend, and hope to revisit next time we're out this way.
Most gratefully,
The Whites

We had a great 2-day stay at this sweet guest house. From the moment you walk through the gate you are welcomed by a lovely garden and patio. The interior was well appointed and was very comfortable for my husband and I and our adult son. We will definitely recommend this guest house to our friends and family, and we plan to return as well!

My husband and I (with our two dogs) had the most amazing time visiting Mill Valley. The location was perfect — we were able to walk our dogs through the beautiful neighborhoods — and also easily jog down to the running path for our morning workouts. Caroline was a wonderful host - very accommodating. The guest house itself was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Highly recommend staying here!!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this private and quiet guest house in Mill Valley. Despite our visit being during the rainy season, the space was comfortably warm and dry. It had a nice layout with bedroom, bath, living area and small kitchen. Everything was in good working order. The decor was soothing with several special touches including some original artwork and custom furniture. Will stay again if it’s available when we are in the areas. Does not have a washer/ dryer but this is available in the family home on the property. Close to everything you go to Mill Valley for with dedicated parking. Caroline was welcoming and a good communicator.

I was very glad we chose to stay here for various reasons:
Location - close to Muir Woods a many trails; for me it was the quiet of a residential neighborhood with a 15-20 minute drive to the Marina district where I needed to go daily and traffic was never an issue.
The property - you have a dedicated parking spot, the place is maintained well enough to look brand new despite being 2 years old and all the pictures posted are very accurate. It's equipped better than most other listings I've been in the past.
Above all, Caroline is an amazing host. Communication with her was seamless and timely, whether in-person or over messaging.
Bummed the place is already booked for the dates I have to return...

Aside from the noise from heater and refrigerator Interruption a sound sleep especially for the in living room bed, the beds were comfortable. It was not clear by stating a two bedroom, a one bedroom and sleeper in living area. The apartment was appreciated and very tastefully created. We were grateful to find such a haven outside of the city. Thank you, DV

Perfect little spot for my husband and I to stay while in town for the half marathon. This guest house is exactly as pictured & beautifully updated with fun artwork and a story behind each piece! Kitchen was great to prepare a few simple meals. Slept well in a comfortable bed and relaxed in the cozy living room. Location with easy access into downtown SF. Caroline is a thoughtful host, would love to stay again & would highly recommend!

Husband and I had to find a spot in Mill Valley for an event and this was a perfect rental for our busy weekend. Clean, comfortable and well stocked. It was quite cold the first night, but the space heaters solved that problem once we actually turned them on.

I originally booked this property for my daughter and I for my Cousin's wedding (in Stinson Beach, CA about 25 minutes away). My brother and his daughter joined us on day 2 for the remainder of the trip. The property includes 1 bedroom and a pullout couch but Caroline added a blowup Twin Mattress that she had made-up prior to our arrival. The mini-home is in the back of Caroline's property so very secluded. The area seemed very safe and quiet and we loved how she decorated and continually checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed. There were two very minor areas that could probably be improved - the fan in the bathroom never came on regardless of what buttons we pushed so it was humid after showers; second, the water pressure wasn't the greatest but might be the norm for California. Overall, we had a marvelous visit and would definitely recommend this property to any small group (2-4 people). PS: My daughter and I did the Coyote Ridge Trail to Muir Beach on our first day there and it was well worth the hike - gorgeous views.

Nicely designed, immaculately presented and fully self sufficient guest house at the rear of owner’s property. Easy and efficient communication with the host. Very comfortable main bed. Sofa bed firm but also comfortable and much better than most. Easy access to Muir Woods, Mill Valley, Sausalito, etc. and only a 10-15 minute drive south to Golden Gate Bridge. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
