Friendly reception staff

The cabin was very nice and perfect for the four of us with two dogs. The key pickup was very easy and the reception staff was very friendly. I also really appreciated having the nature reserve right behind the cabins so that we could go hiking right from our cabin.
I wish both bedrooms had had full or queen sized beds - having one room with twins was a little inconvenient. The location is almost a mile out of town, limiting our options for exploring Aviemore on foot. There wasn't enough glassware in the kitchen. Otherwise, no issues.

We loved everything about High Range!

Handy location for walking into Aviemore; lovely that it was dog friendly (though beware of the rabbits running across the grounds!); kitchen had everything you need for a short stay; bed was cosy & comfortable; Christmas tree a nice seasonal touch.
Sofa was small and there was only one arm chair so we struggled to sit 4 comfortably.

Location great , clean , everything you need .
You could hear noise from next next chalet . The doors are obviously fire doors so slammed shut if you didn’t hold them .

As a family of 2 adults and 2 children, we spent a lovely 3 night stay in the Cairntoul Chalet. This chalet is spacious with 2 bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. The beds are super comfy and a great night's sleep was had by all during our stay. The dining kitchen/lounge is also roomy and is well equipped. The chalet was spotless and well looked after. The location is perfect for exploring the town and further afield. Parking was plentiful. Reception staff very friendly. We have recommended to friends and family and will definitely return. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Reception was open until 10pm and staff were friendly and helpful. The chalet was very roomy and very well equipped. The location is perfect for the various activities in the surrounding area (in our case, golf!) and close to good places to eat, if you wanted to go out. Very, very happy with the booking.

The reception contacted us to let us know the room was ready as we hoped to book in early.
The chalet was very clean and we put the heating on and was lovely and warm, it had everything you could need.
I found booking in at 4pm and having to leave at 10.30am was not a long stay for the price we paid.
Would have liked a bigger choice of teas and coffees and biscuits.

Very clean. Well-equipped kitchen. Washing-up supplies including clean cloths. Nespresso machine with a couple of capsules. Great bed and big towels. All very thoughtful. We really appreciated being able to book a 1-night stay (no minimum stay requirement) in a self-catering chalet as an end to a walking holiday - thank-you High Range for offering this!
The site is quite close to the A9, so it's not entirely dead-quiet, but that's true about most of Aviemore anyway - it's not the town to come to for peace and quiet.

It’s a motel , it is what you would expect
A team of dancing robots doing somersaults, and juggling cakes . It’s a motel , it is what you would expect . So nothing 🙄

Good location. Facilities were good and chalet was in immaculate condition. Grounds were well kept and the staff clearly take pride in the location. Good use of dog waste bin provided to encourage dog owners to be responsible across the site. The chalet was warm and cosy, and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely come back.....but I would leave the dog with a relative.
The shower temperature couldnt be maintained and kept going intermittent to hot/cold.
I was of the belief the chalet was standalone and not joined onto another property, being a pet friendly place we took the dog, and I believe the noise of Alphie had upset fellow residents.

Needed a bit more kitchen equipment! And salt/pepper/oil. Maybe a gate to keep pets secure on the balcony.
