Annual family getaway with 90 year old mom, siblings and spouses. 6 of us fit comfortably in this new (or newly remodeled) beach home.

We booked this house several months in advance for my husbands 40th birthday. We had 8 adults and 4 young kids. I spent a great deal of money on this (way too much in my opinion). The house is overall lovely and was comfortable for our group. The outdoor space is nice to have, especially at night. However, it was never mentioned or advertised that there is a house built right in front of this property which obstructs the view. In addition, the lot next door is a mess full of debris that goes all the way down to the beach. The lot is unfinished with a trailer and random items/tarps/garbage. You cannot walk south of the stairs at all on the beach bc of the unfinished lot (which is okay except not advertised, and has a metal fence and some random appliances that are unsightly). The beach is small, with metal and tires sticking out of the sand. We walked about 200 feet north to get to a more open beautiful area but it’s unclear we were even allowed here. Overall it was really disappointing and misleading. I feel pretty sick about how much I spent for what it was.

Everything was very nice and was exactly as the pictures showed. The drive up the hill to the house was a challenge for some but we made it.

To say that this place exceeded expectations is not enough. I have to say that this property is perfection. My family and I have been coming to the Muskegon area for over a decade and this is by far our favorite rental. We stayed for four nights in mid-August. Our group consisted of my husband and I (in our early 50s), our kids (17 & 21) and my parents (early 80s). There was plenty of room for all of us to gather and to also have space to ourselves. The house looked like we were the first people to ever step foot inside of it, it was so pristine. The beautiful kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and then some and the open concept living space is beyond relaxing. The tub in the master bedroom is absolutely amazing and the beds are very comfortable with soft sheets. Great water pressure, loads of fluffy towels to use, a washer/dryer and everything else you need. The owners have really thought of comfort when appointing this space. The decks and patios are lovely and the overlook atop the dune is the most wonderful spot to watch the stunning g sunsets. The beach itself is gorgeous and they even have beach chairs and floats to use. If you aren’t good with stairs this is maybe not the spot for you. It’s a workout to go from the beach to the upstairs for sure. But 100% worth every step in our opinion. Communication with the hosts was great. We are so happy to have found this property and hope we can come back to enjoy it again soon.

A group of friends and I really enjoyed our extended weekend stay. The house is in a great location and just a short walk down to the beach. We especially loved kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding (ask about renting them), and we biked over to Muskegon's lakefront, which is just a few miles from the house. The large deck is great for spending time with a group and the view from the balcony of the largest bedroom is beautiful. The property was clean and spacious, and the host was easy to communicate with.
