About this cottage rental
The two detached holiday homes of The Barn and The Byre at Yawlings sit perfectly amongst stunning countryside with wonderful rural views all around. Located in the quaint village of Holditch, a hamlet within Thorncombe, just a 16 minute drive away from the bustling market town of Axminster, 20 minutes away from charming Beaminster, or 25 minutes away from ever-popular Lyme Regis.
These two special properties have been recently converted, and sit just yards apart, across a large shared gravelled parking area, and both are beautifully furnished and presented, offering luxurious accommodation for four guests in each. With an open-plan kitchen and dining room and adjoining sitting room with wood burning stove, The Barn is a perfect two storey modern cottage, with generous accommodation which includes a spacious king-size master suite with a sitting area and television, dressing area, and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath. The second bedroom has twin single beds and its own en-suite shower room. A large utility room and separate boot room completes the attractive accommodation. Outside, the property has a pretty sheltered courtyard garden with garden furniture, and in front of the property is a large lawned garden with fruit trees affording wonderful views across the glorious countryside.
Neighbouring The Byre is a single-storey converted barn with an open-plan layout incorporating a cosy sitting area with wood burning stove and sliding glass doors, a spacious dining area, well-equipped kitchen, and underfloor heating throughout. The generous accommodation includes two bedrooms, both able to provide a king-size bed, or they can be configured as twin singles, each having a glazed door leading out to the garden terrace. Bedroom one has an en-suite shower room, and there is a beautiful bathroom next to bedroom two with a feature free-standing bath, and a large separate shower enclosure. The Byre also benefits from a useful entry area incorporating a bench, boot space and cloak area, a washing machine and extra storage. Outside, there is a paved terrace running the length of the front of the property, where you will find a bench and table and chairs, offering opportunities for relaxing, and alfresco dining, whilst admiring the stunning views.
