This Hotel was unsatisfactory not what we had booked . Their ad was false and we didn’t get the amenities that were stated online. There was no air conditioner, the television didn’t work, the WiFi had terrible connection and the staff especially the manager was rude and unfriendly. We quickly tried to ask Expedia for help but they were just as terrible with their customer service. Expedia does not supervise any of there clients establishments and are only quickly to take your money but not to offer any help or assistance. This was our honeymoon stay and we had a very disappointing experience with this hotel and Expedia itself . We are going with another travel agency I suggest you all do the same .

Clean property, breakfast was excellent for us(3-1 coffee package & bread with eggs). If you want AC in your room, you must book with AC or you just have fan. Walking distance to Pub Street(.5 miles).

Great pool. Great location for walking around to restaurants. Staff very friendly. I had no problems with my 30 day stay. Never had to wait to get transportation, they were always available.

I love Sidewalk Never Die--stayed there 8 times over 6 years. The location can't be beat, within a quick walk to the Night Market and downtown Siem Reap, in its own cozy, quiet neighborhood. The swimming pool, usually deserted, is clean and cool--takes me a few minutes to adjust to the temperature, but then it's fantastic. The rooms are clean and spacious, with comfy beds and a handy little refrigerator and TV (who has time for TV in Siem Reap). The staff has always been exceedingly helpful and friendly, and remember me from year to year. And the price can't be beat!

Perfectly adequate place to stay - good location, big rooms, basic but all you need for a stay. My only comment would be that the beds are a little uncomfortable....after 7 days I as a bit over it. The staff were nice, the location is excellent, quiet in the evenings, air con worked. All good. Also - there are no elevator's - I was on the 2nd floor which is up 4 flights - and that was fine - but if you have mobility problems, request a ground floor room.

The Sidewalk hotel is a very pleasant, well run, typical Cambodian style hotel in one of the main streets of Siem Reap. It is not new at all, but the rooms are fine, all quite quiet as being built away from the street entrance. The entrance lobby is very bright and open, with attractive wooden furniture, where breakfast is served, all in a very nice elegant Cambodian style. The breakfast is fine, cooked to order when you come down to the lobby area. There is also a very nice small, quiet, private swimming pool at the back of the hotel. I found it really pleasant to relax there in the late afternoon. However it is the location of the hotel which is it's good value. It is in the next street to the main street of Siem Reap, but without the noise and the busy traffic. In the hotel's street there are actually very many excellent, good value local restaurants, and some good bars also. I found this absolutely ideal when going out in the evening, with such a good choice within an easy short distance from the hotel. Also the very busy main town centre, and the bright nightlife area is only a short walk from the hotel, as well as other conveniences such as good supermarkets and other good local shopping.

"Breakfast" was lacking. Room had many mosquitoes. Room did not have 1 king bed (instead of 2 twin beds) as requested. Staff was friendly.

WiFi never worked longer than 10mins before loss of connection. Pool area had an unbearable smell and made you want to leave immediately. Hotel had loud live music that switched off at 11pm, but if you are waking up at 4am for the temple sunrise, like us, it’s unacceptable. Pros: clean room, soft bed, okay breakfast

This hotel is a bit old fashioned but its walking distance to all attractions in Siem Reap, most importantly great local food. One of the few hotels well priced that could accomodate 3 people in one room. Don't be put off by the odd name, management local family, very welcoming

Great location, walking distance to bars and restaurants but far enough away as to not be disturbed by noise.
Staff were friendly and helpful although in my 5 night stay my room was never 'made up' and I never saw a maid. Breakfast is limited to eggs and bread. I would certainly stay here again.

We had few expectations of this hotel because it's a budget hotel. But 3 things made us decide early on never to return to Side Walk: (1) The hotel failed to pick us up at the airport, despite a hotel staffer volunteering about two weeks earlier (through email) the said service "for free," which caused us to cancel an earlier arrangement with our guide for airport transfer. We arrived at the Siem Reap airport at 11 pm and, after almost 1 hour of waiting and calling up the hotel (no one answered the phone), we took an airport taxi. Upon arrival at Side Walk, a male staff who had been sleeping behind the front desk drowsily attended to us. When we asked what happened to the supposed airport pick-up, he gave a blank look that seemed to say he didn't understand English. The next day, after we had asked our tour guide to ask for an English-speaking staff who could explain what happened over the promised airport pick-up, this guy suddenly spoke good English, and even asked me for the identity of the staff who promised to fetch us; when I gave him the name, he didn't reply. Nobody from Side Walk bothered to explain and apologize for the no-show. (2) Male hotel staff conduct their business bare-chested and wearing short pants that are fit for one's house, not a hotel. (3) Our room included free breakfast, but the hotel didn't provide breakfast before 7 am on Jan 1 (when we had to check out by 7:30 am) because it was "too early"; they did not offer any option to help us get breakfast.
