The Space:
Inside the house, guests will find themselves transported to another time. The period details, such as the wood panelling, antique furnishings, and ornate fireplaces, create an atmosphere of luxury and elegance. However, modern amenities have been added to ensure that guests have everything they need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The house features a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, a games room, and comfortable bedrooms.
What makes this property stand out are the exceptional gardens, which serve as an oasis of peace and color with an impressive collection of rare and unusual plants, all overlooking the Tay Valley. The ornamental garden dates back to the mid-18th century, with much of its current splendor originating from the 1970s, thanks to the late Mr. J. Douglas Hutchison's work.
The stream garden, designed and built by Ian Lawrie of Dundee in 1928 along the course of the Bolfracks Burn, was restored and replanted from 1983-85. It boasts a diverse array of rare and unusual plants, including a superb collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, acers, old-fashioned roses, and herbaceous perennials.
For special occasions, guests staying at this property can enjoy the beautiful gardens, which complement a wonderful experience, along with access to a private tennis court.
