Breakfast was superb - great choice & good service. Staff very helpful
Bedrooms very cramped

The grounds & activities on the estate
Breakfast was late, lack of kitchen staff. Dinner was poor & very expensive. Drinks were expensive. Few lounges, and places to rest. Corridors tong & confusing access to hotel areas,

very easy checkin , nice receptionist, told us everything we needed to know. comfy and clean beds, great area.
Breakfast very nice, quick, also tasty. Lovely waitress.
We felt the room was slightly overpriced. There were dog hairs on floor in bathroom, which we were surprised at, as
the room was carpeted, so didn't expect it to have dogs allowed in it. Obviously, we didn't take dogs with us.

Bedding - amazing mattress, duvet & pillows - best by a long chalk
Breakfast - fantastic & interesting range of freshly cut fruit, stewed fruit nuts, seeds; good cheese, own baked bread. Delicious butter, kefir, yoghurt
Photographs of Trees on the walls were deliberately blurred (arty) and made us both feel as if we were not seeing properly and consequently unsteady on our feet whilst walking along all corridors
Nestle Coffee machine in breakfast area needed better, larger, more obvious instructions - lots of wasted milk, coffee, & confusion
Signage & directions around the hotel needs a re-think as very small writing, tiny signs, eg: no mention of swimming pool, just ‘changing rooms’ (of which there are many (men’s, disabled, family, women’s) but no mention of swimming pool so wandering confused guests looking!

Decor. Smart, polite staff. Amazing breakfast.
Pillow was too hard and room hot despite Aircon set to 19c

Staff and location
Nothing, everything was perfect.
4.0
The rooms, staff location and food.
Dogs allowed in age restaurant. Especially as they had their dogs while walking around the breakfast buffet.

Nice spacious room, comfy beds. Good pool and the gym looked excellent although we didn't have time to use it. Really enjoyed breakfast where the staff were charming especially the delightful Italian gentleman.
The food in the Grill restaurant was disappointing - Caesar Salad made with mayonnaise!? Not on a par with the rest of the hotel experience.

Good, spacious and comfortable room. Good bathroom and plenty of storage. Good wi-fi and tea/coffee facilities. Staff helpful, friendly and polite. Restaurants spacious and with good range of food and drink. Good outside space. Good communication from hotel pre-visit. Lots of good parking.
Staff while very helpful and polite are young and a little inexperienced. You may have to wait a bit to get served or make requests but all does get done. All of the positives don't quite justify the cost, however. Although I have to say that I didn't use the health/spa facilities and these may have lessened the financial in balance.

Location and hotel felt really special. Facilities and Staff were excellent also.

Breakfast, which we had late. Croissants were a little stale and scrambled egg overcooked but otherwise very good. Lovely dining room!
Room was very good too. However, in common with many hotels, there were only two power points and none next to the bedside tables. Inconvenient and frustrating. The bed was very comfortable and, unlike many other hotels, there were two good easy chairs.
Staff could not have been more helpful or polite.
Plenty of car parking.
More power points needed in the bedroom. There could have been an alternative to the rather disappointing coffee machine. Good quality coffee bags perhaps? A ridge would have been useful....

Quality of the restaurant food. That’s about it.
Bedroom very poor for the money. Bathroom shower/bath was virtually unusable due to careless design. You could not run a bath without getting in the bath first, as the taps were out of reach. Restaurant cold and unwelcoming despite good quality. Wine prices extortionate. 4 x markup on supermarket prices is laughable.. Many rooms a huge distance from reception. Wifi was almost non existant.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast choice was amazing with a huge table full of healthy, tasty, delicious accompaniments. Loved all the little nooks and crannies, bars, lounge area all very comfortable and clean. It was great being able to go for a walk in the grounds and we especially liked the swimming pool. We don't have a dog at the moment but it was great that the hotel was dog friendly, all the dogs and their owners were friendly and well behaved 😊
We weren't keen on the sausage for the English Breakfast, but that was just our personal choice. The fact that there was so much more to choose from didn't make this a problem.

The butcher farmer restaurant was good for breakfast.
The facilities were unclean and full of children.
Not so much a spa weekend as an afternoon spent in a children’s leisure centre. Incredibly busy/loud and nowhere to sit and read by the pool. My partner got food poisoning from the bar and grill and when she informed the staff she was just given a form to fill in rather than an apology. There was also no intolerance/allergy consideration (or signposting on their menus) at any of the restaurants which was poor. The staff were uninformed and overwhelmed which led to almost an hour waiting for a drink at the bar each day. The overpriced massage was also bad.

Hotel and its general surrounds were very good, food with one exception was excellent, restaurant and housekeeping staff very helpful and friendly
At night I have to use a CPAP machine requiring a conventional 3 pin electrical power point close to the bed. This hotel has small sockets with round pins with a 40w maximum. I had to ask reception for an extension lead which they eventually provided for a £40 surcharge. When pointed out the health and safety risks of having a trailing lead across the floor, reception staff appeared totally oblivious to the risk and inconvenience. Added to this the telephone in the room would not call out, we were told on the Friday afternoon, IT and maintenance staff had finished work for the day and that the problem would be rectified the following day. This never happened this too was a safety issue and inconvenience. Finally we ate at the hotel throughout our stay, after an evening meal my wife was violently sick for about 3 hours and gradually recovered the following day, the symptoms of food poisoning attributed to a sauce taken with a steak.

The informal friendly attitude of the staff and great setting.
A bit more expensive than similar types of hotel for sundries such as wine. Not enough food choices for non meat eaters.

We have stayed here multiple times. We usually stay for the location grounds and walks.
No communication pre arrival that the grounds were all closed due to the festival of speed preparations. Our visit was 1st - 3rd July the festival of speed starts on the 13th July. When I complained the front desk mamas told me we should have been told as the grounds are closed 1 month before the event.

A lovely welcome and the reception staff showed us to our room. Good breakfast. Great location for Chichester.
Pool was unfortunately out of use.

This our first time taste of staying here. There were some issues which were all resolved by very helpful and courteous staff. We had dinner in the Chef, Farmer & Butcher restaurant on our first night where the food and service was first class. Breakfast for the next to two days was in the same restaurant and equally good. The Spa facilities were not used as we were visiting family locally, but looked excellent. Whilst there were some issues with the bedrooms (listed below) they were well appointed.
In changing the extra night to a Friday our room was changed to twin bedroom. The bed that I had was so soft it almost gave me a hug! Combine with the thick quilt and high room temperature (26C) I had terrible night's sleep. The single bed was on the small side (and smaller than the headboard). The safe would not reset so was unusable. The staff on reception were lovely and switched our room to a double bed unit moving our luggage in the process whilst wet were out visiting family. For some reason we had an alarm go off at 5.45am (probably s car alarm in the car park below our window). The bedrooms were on the small side compared to other Country hotels that we have stayed in, but well appointed. We felt that the room rate was high for what was on offer, but understand that Friday & Saturday nights come at a premium.

Breakfast excellent. Facilities so good
Not easiest space wise in room with a little one

Different areas to the hotel. Dining areas not too big. Friendly service across restaurants, reception and cleaning staff. Good golf as well. Half way reception van excellent! 😁
The Butcher restaurant could have had a better service for breakfast. Only one person serving. Speed was not a problem as with friends but some things forgotten and no condiments offered.

incredibly helpful staff and very clean hotel and the breakfast was exceptional
the acoustics were quite bad with room doors and sadly other guests noise levels after midnight, yelling in corridors and allowing children to run up and down corridors

The staff were nice and helpful and parking was outside
The king size double was freezing cold and despite trying the heating controls we had to sleep in jumpers to keep warm the bed was comfy but the walls were dirty and not very welled decorated with different bars opening at different times and restraints not opening we found most of our stay walking round the hotel
The Restraunt the bar n grill we ate in in the end was absolutely a waste of money pigeon portions horrific food combinations agin all produced on the estate sowerdoe cheese burger look like a baby’s happy and tasted awful apologies came quickly and was taken of bill ! Eton mess was nice but again cheese board was a waste of time
All thou arriving in time the eggs were not cooked properly the mushroom and tomato were over cooked and cold beans in a pot had always been a no for us
The toast was nice stop going on about how everything is from the goodwood estate if it badly presented.
