Good location /lots of birds, kangaroos, cockatoos, emus/very comfy beds-had great sleeps every night. I appreciated the local tourist info /magazines/general info was handy.
Toilet lid needs fixing/saucepan has loose handle(dangerous)/

Excellent
Took me a couple of hours to work out how to get the TV going as everything was disconnected. Written instructions would have saved a few frustrating hours.

It was wonderful to have a whole house to ourselves in such a convenient location. The wood burning fireplace was very much appreciated, even though there was alternative heating. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment. I loved the trees all around.
We got used to the slightly wonky floor and the toilet lid closing while in use.

Beautiful cottage to relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside but so close to everything in the little township which was within easy walking distance on a designated footpath.
The cottage had everything needed for a comfortable stay, particularly with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils - so nice (and economical) to be able to cook at “home” on a cold winter’s evening or make a warm breakfast to start the day - also lovely to have a washing machine on site along with a clothes line AND PEGS or a clothes horse, especially to keep towels clean and dry.
Wood fire was very efficient to keep the entire cottage warm and cosy with plenty of wood 🪵 available in the shed, and a wheelbarrow to bring it to the door, a job our grandson loved doing. Firelighters and matches provided but kindling might be needed for an easier start up. We were fortunate enough to have some left by a previous guest. Only problem was it was requested to remove the ash from the fireplace before we left but we were unable to do so because we had had the fire going 24/7 due to the extra cold weather so it would have been quite dangerous to do so … we didn’t want to cause injury to ourselves or damage the property … in fact, the fire was still burning when we left!
Lounge area was spacious, although the chairs and couch were quite low and not easy to get up from, but it was a nice surprise to see a good selection of DVD’s and board games provided for our enjoyment too!
Good table and chairs for dining; roomy kitchen for preparing meals and snacks with plenty of space for pantry items and a good sized refrigerator and working stove (although no exhaust fan)
Bathroom was large with plenty of space for toiletries and clean absorbent towels; however, anyone with mobility issues would find stepping into the bath to shower quite a problem as there was no handrail to hold onto; and forget using the spa bath (apparently it hasn’t worked for some time!)
Beds were very comfortable. Electric blankets 😊
Spa bath apparently hasn’t worked for some time but has not been attended to.
Also difficult to step into the bath without a handrail to hold onto.
The control for the air conditioner needs new batteries but, although mentioned in the Visitors Book, several times, has not been done.
Refrigerator (freezer section) needs to be attended to - as it is icy and has unneeded items in it.
Also, the door of the actual refrigerator needs to be pushed shut firmly as it doesn’t seal properly.
The salt and pepper looks like it has been there some time and not inviting to use so, we didn’t!
No sharp knives on site for meal preparation at all; take your own.
Lounge chairs are very low and do not have arm rests so are difficult to get up from; especially for those who are elderly or have mobility issues.
Wheels on the wheelbarrow need to be pumped up (or perhaps there is a puncture?)

Great loaction
The fireplace could have been ready to light for our convenience and kindling provided as when we arrived it was raining and wood was difficult to access from the shed.
4.3
Big and comfortable cottage with fireplace for heating.
The keybox was hard to get to on a cold dark night as there was no light around.
4.3
very good close to everything
can not complain about this property

Location and loved the fire place. The owners provided wood free of charge really thoughtful.
Shower in the bath, we travelled with my mum 85 years she struggled to get into the bath to showe.
The pace advertises sleeps 5, the 3rd bed is a mattress on the floor wasn’t comfortable and didn't have an electric blanket so it was colder sleeping.

Spacious, great kitchen with pots, utensils, condiments and cleaning equipment. Washer and bath tub.
Bedrooms were hot. Can’t open window because of bugs. No aircon and fan wasn’t good enough. Wish there was a dryer. No wifi.

Enjoyed a spacious, clean and homely stay with a pleasant outlook environment.
Read a picture guide on the flora in the Grampians in the lounge.
We saw many beautiful orchids, peas and other wild, flowers during our hikes in the hills and the guide was useful.

Close to town. Comfortable bed, great decking, quite well equipped
Couch uncomfortable, no frying pan or big knives for dinner prep

Great little house close to everything, it was well set up and not over crowded. It was lovely and clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
There was nothng we did'nt like, the place was excellent and we'd book this place again for a longer period.

This cottage was in a great location to the town of Halls Gap. It was an older house, but well set up and very warm for the cooler weather. It was nice and private and we enjoyed the quiet location and the sounds of nature.

This cute olde-worlde cottage is just off the Main Street but it's surprising how quiet it is.
The beds all have electric blankets, there's an electric oil-filled heater and a wood-burning fireplace, so the fact that the temperature outside rarely got into double digits was not a problem - once we'd managed to find some dry wood. The woodshed is rather rustic and the rain was heavy...
Everything you're likely to need is provided and the hot water system is so well-placed that you never have to wait more than a few seconds for hot water.
With the rain that fell while we were there, it's not surprising that the waterfalls, of which there are many in the district, were running spectacularly.
A tiny grizzle - the toilet is accessed either through the bathroom or from an outside door. No problem because we are family, but had our son's girlfriend not been ill and stayed at home, we would have had to use the outside option.
This was a problem for 2 reasons the outside door was jammed due to being wet and swelling up, due to the second problem of the fairly persistent rain and a lack of a verandah or canopy which meant that we couldn't use that access.

very comfortable and great location

Good location. Close to town.
Coffee (instant fine) and UHT milk would have been nice on arrival.

The location was beautiful and quiet and close to the centre of halls gap. The cottage was very cute, cosy and clean with a nice fire place which we didn't use, but it would of been beautiful on a cold winter's night. Would definitely return again and recommend.
4.3
Great location and lovely view from the deck.
More sugar, it's only a small thing.
4.3
Very homely, beds very comfortable and great decking area to enjoy the birds and views.
Would’ve been nice if fire was set up to use on first night and would’ve been a bonus if spa bath worked- but no big deal was amazing place to stay and will be back for sure.

This cottage was exceptionally good value . It’s location is perfect. Not far from town but a bush feel. We loved the open fire. Would definitely stay again.
Tiny downside is only one toilet that you have to walk through the bathroom and laundry to get to. Not a big deal unless your kids are in the shower and you need to go. Wouldn’t stop us from staying again though.

A lovely cottage in a perfect location! We had the most comfortable stay and it was only a few minutes walk to town. The beds were very comfortable, a spacious living room with a lovely outlook and the kitchen had everything we needed. Loved sitting out on the verandah with the kookaburra and cocky visits and mountain views. Highly recommend.

Noonameena was a very cosy homely cottage with all the comforts we needed, just a shame we had to leave early due to lockdown 6 but only missed one night so thankfully not too bad, so close to the little town and walks etc
4.3
Very cozy atmosphere, like having the woodfire
There were no locks on bathroom doors, and door to laundry,
4.3
It was very clean!!
Fireplace was nice warm and prepared firewood.
The furniture was nice and I was able to relax.
I wanted to take a bath, but I couldn't take a bath.
There is a limit to hot water here, and when I put hot water in the tub, it ran out in about half, and I had to wait for several hours until the next hot water came out.
The next person had to take a shower with a few hours between them depending on the amount of hot water.
I didn't take a bath, so I don't think I'll make a reservation here next time. Other than that it was very good

Close to everything
you could want for a short stay in Halls Gap

Location was great. Fireplace was a lovely addition. Very homely feel with character.
Bed was very creaky. Would be great to have a heater closer to the bedrooms.

I loved how well the cottage had been done up. The facilities were excellent, especially the ability to use a washing machine. The hot water worked well and fast! The wood fire was beautiful. It was well located and still quite secluded, which was great. I also loved the old publications on the Grampians to compare with today!
One of the few areas the hosts could improve on was the tea and coffee situation; I couldn't find any coffee (the previous guests may have had the last of it), there was only one type of tea, and no milk. It's not a big thing, but when everything else was so good, it did stand out a bit.
A couple of other minor things: the thought of using the spa bath was really exciting to me, but not being familiar with them, I couldn't actually work out how to use it. It was one of the few appliances without an instruction manual in the guest folder.
It was also a little hard to access the house from the drive when loading and unloading my luggage; the driveway behind the house was a little hairy to reverse into.
Lastly, it was a bit strange to have to turn the power on when I arrived (although I was also in the power box getting the key, so it wasn't terrible).
