Good value and location in an expensive city

Great location on the river. Right off the pedestrian shopping path. Great value for money in this city. Parking underground right beside hostel was safe and convenient. A little expensive though. Quiet at night. Super clean shared bathroom on 3rd floor.

Wifi was weak. TV didnt function for days and the bartenders below were not helpful when we asked. No one ended up coming to help. We did eventually get it working but the channels kept freezing. One English channel would be nice. All channels were german.

The location is excellent, the bathroom and room are new and clean

Lots of stairs, the hallways are old and look like they haven't been renovated in a while

Lovely spot for a short stay

I like the location and cleanliness of the hostel. The bedding is comfortable compared to what I had in Frankfurt. I also booked an extra night.

There is no hug to boil hot water.

Very good

Basic clean accommodation, with a desk & wifi. Friendly staff.

Need good mobility: up 4 flights of stairs. Shared bathroom between 3 rooms (6 people).

Superb

It was very cosy. We had the double room with a shared bathroom and it was very fun. It is a couple of stairs but the location is amazing. 1 street away from the main street and a good location to go to the other side

If you are tall make sure that you watch out for the small doors!

Great value place. Clean and good location.

Big room, very clean bathroom, not noisy, big bed, good location

Check-in a bit late (17:00) and no reception (we arrived around 11 and had to ask a restaurant to hold our bags in the back, or we would have to walk around with luggage for 6 hours).

Lovely! Our room was more modern than the photos!

Haribo on our beds, tasty kitchen downstairs, nice staff and our room looked better than the pictures! We were here in December and we were very warm in our rooms!

Make sure you’re okay to carry your luggage up steep stairs

Great location to stay in Heidelberg.

Very nice hostel, great pub with good beer and food. The hostel is located central to old Heidelberg and is in walking distance from many good restaurants and scenic sites.

Good budget option to stay in centre of Heidelberg

Good location, restaurant with garden on first floor. Staff is friendly - guest can leave backpack before and after their stay.

Exceptional

This was the cleanest, cutest, most centrally-located Hostel I've ever stayed in for the money. Absolutely worth it. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would like to come back and stay here when I have more time to explore Heidelberg ❤️

Very good

Close to historical center and Bismarckplatz. Lots of electrical sockets in room. Standing fan provided.

Had to climb up 4 floors and stairs are steep and narrow. No wifi. Only one shared bathroom available.

The Staff were friendly; bathroom was well-equipped!

The fact thatt No elevator exists was not indicated on the hostel page. This was problematic because all the rooms were in the 3rd and 4th floor and the stairwell was narrow and slightly cramped for luggages. Alsoo, no air-conditioning but the windows open (albeit inwards to take up some room space).

Booked a private 1 person room. Nice place above a typical brown Heidelberg cafe. Good location. Clean and well.

Nice place, relatively cheap, close to the city center.

I spent 1 night. For this, they sent me several German language emails, a looong message in the Booking app where they made me fill out a registration form, just so they could make me fill out a different one on paper when I arrived. Who the hell this benefits? :D

Good location for exploring the Altstadt

Really good location, I was concerned that being over the restaurant it would be noisy but actually it wasn't at all. Room and shared bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable

The public areas like the hallway and stairs weren't that clean. Not a massive problem as the room itself was.

non accessible, had to carry luggage up 4 floors. bugs came in when window was open.. no warnings given about this issue.

The location is good and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Please put a small desk in the room. It would be convenient for anyone who works remotely now.

Perfect distance until the river, old town, restaurants, museums, friendly staff.

The shared bathroom was almost never available. No air conditioning (opening the window would mean really loud noises from the street and from the clients at the bar, until 3 a.m. sometimes). The tv did not work. 4 floors up on a narrow stairway.

not worth your money

rooms are not clean and full of bugs. They said it is normal in this season(May) in Heidelberg. You can find every insect in your room. Big flying and non flying insects. After my protest, they changed my room. And thank you to Gerome(french boy who helped me to catch the bugs) but it ruined my night. I could not open my window in the second room in case bugs can enter the room. No elevator and steps ard hard. The only good thing is the restaurant. Heidelberg is super safe and has good transportation. You dont need to stay in old town. Come here for the restaurant

The room was really nice, and the staff of the hotel was super friendly !

Our stay in this hotel was great : the room was clean and comfortable. The bar restaurant is also very nice, and the staff has been lovely to us. It's located in a quiet area, yet it's not far from the city center.
