Tell your costumers that there's nowhere to park instead of having them get a parking ticket. Try putting some light bulbs in the hallway ceiling so people can see to unlock the room door. Clean the place up and slap some paint on walls, it might be a bit more inviting.

Good hot water and shower pressure; location to downtown Halifax was a short walk.
Where to start. Street parking only which I guess is common near the downtown area. The rooms weren’t very clean when we checked in and no cleaning staff during your stay; beds weren’t made, towels changed, etc. Beds were hard as a rock and all three of us left with a sore back. Sleeping on our air mattress was 100% more comfortable. The building itself had a smell of incense, weed and dirt. Felt you needed to wash your hands after touching any doorknob. Construction is occurring at the building so we had construction workers quite literally on the other side of the only window we had. Building is old, tired and in desperate need of an update.

Location
Old and dirty. Mild in bathroom

The bad and AC was good.
They worried if I wanted a cleaning to take my valuables out of the room. Staff spoke poor English.

the property was disgusting, dirty, they smoke inside you can get sick even to stay one night at that place please we required that they cancel and they refuse and we requested any form of cancellation and they kick us out of the premises and they sell our room to someone else the time we went to ask them to go in and take pictures some else was in room with our reservation
there is not even a single cent to like at that place, they are not respectful, customer service is poor they did sell our room to someone else without asking us if we will come back or not!

Nothing, it’s filled with rats have video of rats in the room
Impolite staff they think it’s a favor that they are letting you stay. For the price on booking.com it’s better to stay in a hotel. Room prices cannot be over 35 Canadian Dollar. No room service. You have to keep requesting staff to clean room. Room heating & hot water is switched off randomly in the peak of winter

Helpful staff
I was on the main floor and could hear every conversation in the hall and lobby. I was awoken 5 or 6 times through the night. Adding a door or dividing wall in between the front desk and the main floor rooms might help with the noise.

NOT accessible. Uncomfortable, loud, no cable tv, no hairdryer. Steep, rickety stairs at both entrances (no elevator, beds uncomfortable. Very loud as located near fire hall and next door to bar. Tried to drown out noise with AC unit but it sounded like a helicopter.

There was no breakfast
The place could be cleaned and fixed up

I liked the location, just off Robie Street, very close to Quinnpool Street.
No cofee kits,no parking for customers.

A character room with upgraded bathroom, 2 chairs and dual aspect windows. The night staff was polite, professional, courteous and went out of her way to be helpful. I was uncomfortable with the day staff's manner in reminding me that my $200 damage deposit would only be returned if the room was in its proper state. Thus I had them check it right away and they were satisfied.
There was no elevator and I was on the top floor which is the 4th floor. And there was no coffee in the room or on the premises.I think the property description should include those details.

The reception lady said mice are inevitable in the building.

Expected usual TV service, but was asked to sign up for YouTube app to get ChromeTV--which is almost useless, unless all you're looking for is movies. Worst TV service I've ever seen in a hotel.
