Beautiful historic building and close to VG hospital for appointments. Nice to have parking right there

the building was very nice and our room was large and comfortable and very nicely done.
The views and the restaurant were just ok .

staff was very friendly
I didn’t like the rooms view . I book the room months in advance . Paying that much money I should have gotten a room with a view.

Grand nostalgic hotel. Great location
Convenient restaurant for dinner and breakfast
1.5
Location great. We chose a room with a bit of view on the park and were warned the bathroom was small: but it is surprising to be in such a nice hotel with the following probems: size of bathroom (never experienced this before), a shower curtain that is too short and lets water from tge shower on the floor of the bathroom, and worst of sll: a toilet which decided, on our last of 3 nights, to flush every 40 seconds in the middle of the night, causing me to lose hours of sleep.
A properly functioning toilet!

The location was perfect! The room was very clean and the size of the room was acceptable.

Having wine in the room and dessert from the hotel.
The communication of parking how thd pass worked the restaurant was awful. With our city histing the world juniors and the pub telling me that thd TV is broke in the bar. It's a TV get another one so we had to leave thd hotel and take our business elsewhere. The next morning for breakfast yes I understand that we didn't have a reservation for breakfast but we where not told that we needed one we where with the understanding that we would have a spot for breakfast. The restaurant didn't have anyone in the restaurant for breakfast so once again we had to leave to find breakfast after paying almost 600.00 for a one night stay was something that we will never experience again and our experience will be past along to people that ask.

Location is great...right across the street from the Public gardens.
The parking and garage entrance etc. was good ( $ 28/night !)....should be
So "dated" it was sad. I had an upgraded king which had OK furniture and lots of space. Big bonus the window opened. Shelves weren't clean on the bedside units and the pillows were stale smelling. But the most aggravating issue was the bathroom. It was the smallest BR I had ever been in. The shower was little, the sink drain didn't drain and the toilet was very very low to the ground. I seriously don't understand that anyone would think they could charge for that bathroom. Absolutely no where to put your items....pathetic. I would never stay here again. staff were OK....did not make-up for the situation.

The location was great! Room was comfortable. Staff quite pleasant. 😊
The restaurant was tired.

Proximity to downtown and staff was very friendly and professional.
My bathroom door didn't even open all the way and in order ro get to the shower I had to get inside by the sink, squeeze in a corner and close the door to be able to get in the shower. The faucet in the sink sprayed water everywhere and water ran underneath the sink and out on the floor. Also, after my room was cleaned some of the wet facecloth and a wet towel that was on the floor was put back for me to use.

The staff were friendly and accommodating; location is excellent and there are many interesting things to do and see nearby (you don’t need a car to get around the area); liked all the toiletries on offer; liked the towels and bed linen; loved that the wifi was excellent enough for me to work and handle zoom calls from my room; enjoyed the view from my second room (see explanation below); loved the charm of staying in an old hotel (for some reason it makes me recall some historical fiction books I’ve read)
I booked the Classic King Room after reading reviews that the Double Room was too small. The room turned out to be great, but the bathroom was too tiny and that - along with other minor inconveniences (such as not having breakfast included with the rate, the courtyard ‘view’, etc) - made me feel like it wasn’t worth the money I was paying. To their credit, they moved us to a different room when I said I was unhappy (see what I said about friendly and accommodating staff), but this was after we’d spent 2 nights already in the other room (which I wish we hadn’t been put in to begin with)
3.5
good location with on prem parking. staff was very friendly and did all they could to be flexible.
The rooms are overpriced (+400€ for 1 standard queenroom night without breakfast) my room had a rooftop view with technical equipment on it. Elevator issues so long waiting times to get up/down. And as a detail: the lowest quality toilet paper at these room prices are a no-no. I would value the room more in the 200-250€ range (frequent traveller experience).

location good
very very dated. looks like it saw it’s best days years ago.

Great location. Suite provided a great home away from home during our stay.

spacious clean rooms. able to get late checkout at no extra cost. very convenient for public gardens & citadel.
paper cups and wooden stirrers not environmentally friendly in 2022. why not use cups?

location
got a petite single room, and it sure was “petite”. bathroom was so small it was hard/difficult to deal with. no place to set things down. just not very functional. For $399+ taxes, etc., it wasn’t much of a room.
The hotel always had a kind of old “Hollywood Charm” and elegance to it, I thought, but it’s looking kind of run down now. the price really doesn’t reflect what you are getting.
4.5
Nice old hotel in a good area. Clean and comfortable. Parking was convenient.
Very expensive. Parking was expensive. Maybe it's me, but I found the desk staff to be...not very friendly. I.E. Waited 3 mins for a desk clerk to hang up on a personal call.
